Diamondbacks
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Druw Jones went 1-for-4 with a solo home run for Single-A Visalia on Tuesday. Jones, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 draft is hitting .266 with five homers and 39 RBI this season at Single-A. The 20-year-old is the son of former Braves star outfielder Andruw Jones. The Diamondbacks' No. 3 prospect, Jones could be a future Gold Glover. He has above-average power at the plate with exceptional speed on the basepaths. He is still very early in his professional baseball development but he has all the tools to be a fantasy contributor down the road.

Druw Jones Tallies Four Hits In Friday’s Victory
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Druw Jones posted his first four-hit night of the season and launched his second home run of the campaign on Friday. This great performance brings the 20-year-old to a strong .275/.372/.412 slash line with two swiped bags through 29 games at Single-A. The number three prospect in the Arizona system has been on a nice run since the start of May, hitting an outstanding .326/.400/.465 line. Jones got a small taste of Single-A ball last season but posted a pedestrian .252/.366/.351 line, which shows that Jones has been taking significant strides forward this season. MLB Pipeline projects the former number two overall selection in the 2022 MLB Draft to not reach the majors until 2026, but he could see time in High-A later this summer. He is worth monitoring closely in all dynasty and keeper leagues as he could develop into one of baseball's top prospects.

Druw Jones Off To Slow Start
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Druw Jones has been off to a slow start in 2024 for Single-A Visalia. Early in the season, Jones is hitting a weak .171 with five RBI and no home runs or steals. The son of Andruw Jones, Druw has battled injuries in his young professional career, since being drafted second overall in 2022. Jones, 20, already plays great defense like his father and also is very smooth on the basepaths, but he needs to improve his hit tool. Since being drafted, Jones has dealt with shoulder, quad and hamstring injuries and that is a big reason why his hitting hasn't developed as planned. As Jones fully recovers from those past injuries, his hit tool should improve. For now, Jones is a name to monitor in dynasty leagues, but can be a big asset if he reaches all his potential. He remains a few years away from being talked about a big-league promotion.

Druw Jones Mashes First Home Run
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Druw Jones hit the first home run of his pro career in a game for Single-A Visalia. The 2022 second-overall pick has battled a shoulder injury all season, dating back to shortly after the 2022 first-year player draft, but returned to Visalia on August 15 after a short rehab stint in the complex league. Since his return to Single-A, Jones has slashed .238/.385/.429 with an RBI, five runs, and two stolen bases in six games. There's a long road ahead for the 19-year-old, but his incredible potential makes him a must-roster in dynasty leagues.

Druw Jones Remains On Track
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Druw Jones (shoulder), the second overall pick in last year's draft, played in Tuesday's spring finale and said he remains on track to be in the lineup when the minor-league season begins on April 6. He hasn't had any setbacks in his recovery from surgery to fix his left labrum last August. Jones had one hit in two at-bats on Tuesday and is expected to begin the 2023 season at Low-A Visalia. The 19-year-old son of former Braves outfielder Andruw Jones has the skills to be an excellent outfield defender like his dad, and he also projects to have above-average power. His shoulder injury was a bit of a setback, but it's great news that it won't cost him any time during the 2023 season. Expect Jones to be a quick riser through Arizona's farm system.

Druw Jones On Track In His Rehab
Arizona Diamondbacks outfield prospect Druw Jones (shoulder) is making steady progress from shoulder surgery and is expected to be ready at or near the start of the minor-league season, according to general manager Mike Hazen. Jones suffered a torn posterior labrum in his left (non-throwing) shoulder last July. He's been hitting since January, and the organization is confident he can pick up right where he left off. Jones was the second overall pick in the 2022 draft, so he has a bright future despite the shoulder setback. We'll keep a close eye on Jones' progress from shoulder surgery this year, but it's looking like he'll have a relatively normal first full professional season in the minors.
