Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Jack Suwinski was sent down to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday. It's been an extremely disappointing season for the 25-year-old, who came in with some hype after hitting 26 homers and swiping 13 bags in his sophomore season last year. He hasn't been able to live up to it, with an abysmal .184/.266/.327 slash line and just nine homers and nine steals. The Buccos hope that a trip to the minors will let Suwinski get his head straight and perhaps become a contributor next year.

His time in Triple-A may be what he needed to get going and managers searching for power should watch and see what Suwinski does over the next few days as he could be a solid one-category pickup.

The 25-year-old left-handed hitter should eventually be back in Pittsburgh, but he probably won't be anything more than a platoon center fielder. With Suwinski in the minors for the time being, it should open up more playing time in the outfield for Ji Hwan Bae and Connor Joe, which will in turn open up more action for the lefty-hitting Rowdy Tellez at first base in Pittsburgh.

However, he also ranked righties for an .856 OPS and big-time .271 isolated power. Add in the speed and Suwinski remains a quality fantasy asset, even on the strong side of a platoon.

Suwinski has power/speed potential, making him a high-upside pick if fantasy managers can withstand his low batting average at his current NFBC ADP of 230.
