Kyren Paris Placed on Triple-A Injured List

The Los Angeles Angels have placed infielder Kyren Paris (undisclosed) on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Salt Lake. The team did not specify the injury. Paris has yet to play in a game for Triple-A since July 3. The 23-year-old was very productive in the major leagues during his first 15 games of the campaign when he posted a remarkable .366/.458/.805 slash line with one double, one triple, five home runs, and five stolen bases. However, after this surge, Paris would post a .106/.165/.176 line over his next 29 games with the Angels. Through 29 games with Triple-A, Paris has seen these struggles continue, as he has held a modest .228/.363/.436 with four home runs and a 32:18 K:BB. Fantasy managers in deeper formats should monitor his progression as he could be in the mix to return to the majors later in the second half.

Kyren Paris Heads Back to the Minors

The Los Angeles Angels optioned middle infielder Kyren Paris back to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, according to the team. Paris was only up with the big-league club for three days and will now head back to the Bees, where he'll serve as middle-infield depth for the Halos. The 23-year-old is likely headed back to the farm after the Angels discovered that starting shortstop Zach Neto (shoulder) isn't dealing with any structural damage to his surgically-repaired right shoulder after aggravating it during a slide into second base on a steal attempt earlier this week. Paris' path to regular playing time at the big-league level in the second half of 2025 got more difficult after second base prospect Christian Moore received his first MLB call-up not long ago. It will likely take an injury to one of the team's infielders for Paris to get another shot.

Kyren Paris Recalled from Triple-A

Los Angeles Angels infielder Kyren Paris was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday. He'll take the spot of Kevin Newman who was placed on the paternity leave list. That means, Paris will take over the spot on the roster for a few days while Newmani is gone on paternity leave. Paris got off to an electric start to the season, but was optioned to the minors last month after a long slump. He's not in Monday's lineup, but will hopefully get in some action before Newman returns. Paris isn't someone that needs to be rostered with this likely being a short stint.

Kyren Paris Optioned to Triple-A

The Los Angeles Angels announced on Monday that they optioned infielder Kyren Paris to Triple-A Salt Lake to make room on the active roster for recently signed infielder/outfielder Chris Taylor. Paris got out to a blistering start for the Angels in 2025 at the plate, but he's cooled off noticeably since the middle of April and is currently slashing a lowly .190/.266/.381 with a .647 OPS, six home runs, 11 RBI, 20 runs scored and seven stolen bases. The 23-year-old former second-rounder in 2019 will surely be back up in the big leagues at some point this year, but for now, the Angels are going to give the recently signed Taylor some run as a super-utility man. Paris has walked 10 times and struck out 59 times in his 140 trips to the plate in his third season in the big leagues, so he will go down on the farm to work on making more contact.

Two More Homers For Kyren Paris

Los Angeles Angels infielder/outfielder Kyren Paris has taken advantage of regular playing time early in the 2025 season, as he came into Wednesday's contest against the hosting Tampa Bay Rays hitting .429/.538/.952 with a 1.491 OPS, three home runs, six RBI, four stolen bases and nine runs scored in 21 at-bats. The 23-year-old kept his hot hitting going in Wednesday's 5-4 loss to the Rays, going 2-for-4 with two solo home runs while starting in center field. The former second-rounder hit just .110 (10-for-91) with a homer, six RBI, four steals and 34 strikeouts in his first 36 big-league games for the Angels the last two seasons, but he has apparently made a notable adjustment and could be headed for a 2025 breakout if he keeps it up. At the very least, Paris has earned consistent playing time moving forward. Fantasy managers in mixed leagues may want to see more before jumping all in on Paris.

Kyren Paris Homers On Tuesday

Los Angeles Angels second baseman Kyren Paris stayed hot in a 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday. Paris went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in the win. The rookie infielder kicked off the scoring in the game with a two-run homer off Tampa starter Shane Baz in the second inning. Paris has been red-hot at the plate through his first nine games of the season, hitting .429 with three homers, nine runs, six RBI, and four steals in just 21 at-bats. Fantasy managers should have him active in starting lineups moving forward, at least until he cools off.

Kyren Paris Homers To Continue Hot Start To 2025

Los Angeles Angels second baseman Kyren Paris continued his hot start on Sunday, going 2-for-4 with a solo home run, two runs scored, and a stolen base in the 6-2 win over the Guardians. It was the second home run of the season for the former second-round draft pick, and he's now collected at least one hit in six of eight games so far, with eight runs scored and four steals to boot. The 23-year-old has been a pleasant surprise for fantasy and is a viable waiver addition given his early multi-category contributions. Plus, he's played outfield a couple of times already, so he could soon add OF eligibility on Yahoo! where he's currently only eligible at second base. The youngster is still available in over 80 percent of leagues for managers interested in his services.

Kyren Paris Makes Opening Day Roster

Los Angeles Angels infielder Kyren Paris has made the Opening Day roster. Paris has appeared in just 36 MLB contests over the past two seasons. During this brief taste, the 23-year-old has posted an underwhelming .110/.214/.165 slash line with one home run and an 11:34 BB:K. However, Paris was one of their top bats during spring training. Across 24 games, Paris went 18-for-45 with six doubles and two long balls. He held a 4:14 BB:K and swiped four bags. Last summer, he spent most of the campaign in the minor leagues, split between Double and Triple-A, where he posted a .167/.254/.278 line. At the Triple-A level, the former second-round pick posted a modest .209/.287/.360. Even though he has not produced consistently in the major leagues, he is worth monitoring in AL-only formats as he made significant progress this spring.

Kyren Paris Undergoes Surgery

Los Angeles Angels rookie infielder Kyren Paris (thumb) was put on the injured list on Sept. 19 after suffering a left-thumb ligament tear while making a tag at second base on Sept. 16 against the Detroit Tigers. Paris had surgery on his thumb on Monday but will be ready in time for spring training next year, manager Phil Nevin said on Tuesday. The 21-year-old was officially placed on the 60-day injured list on Monday. The team's No. 5 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, was brought up from Triple-A Salt Lake when rosters expanded on Sept. 1, and he went 4-for-40 (.100) with an RBI, three stolen bases and four runs scored in his first 15 major-league games before injuring his thumb on defense.

Kyren Paris Gets On Base Twice In Big-League Debut

Los Angeles Angels infield prospect Kyren Paris didn't record a hit in his first major-league game on Friday night against the Oakland Athletics, but he did get on base twice via walk and hit by pitch in four plate appearances in a 9-2 loss. The 21-year-old is the team's No. 6 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and was promoted from Double-A Rocket City on Friday with rosters expanding. In 113 games for the Trash Pandas, he hit .255/.393/.417 with an .810 OPS, 14 home runs, 23 doubles, a triple, 45 RBI, 44 stolen bases and 79 runs scored. At least until fellow rookie Zach Neto (back) returns from the injured list, Paris could get some decent run at the 6 for the out-of-contention Angels in the final month of the 2023 regular season.
