Orioles
Baltimore Orioles closer Seranthony Dominguez shut the door on the Astros in a 7-5 victory over Houston on Friday, earning his fifth save of the season. Dominguez had struggled recently after being crowned the closer, allowing home runs in three consecutive appearances, but was handed the ball in the ninth inning on Friday while former closer Craig Kimbrel pitched the eighth. It is a welcome sign for those fantasy managers who stuck with Dominguez, however, he also did not strike out a batter in the frame. The 29-year-old had recorded at least one strikeout in 13 straight appearances before Friday's outing. Nevertheless, closing games for an Orioles team that should continue to win a lot of games is a recipe for a valuable fantasy closer, and he should remain rostered until we see otherwise.

Seranthony Dominguez Picks Up Save On Wednesday
Baltimore Orioles right-hander Seranthony Dominguez got the final three outs of a 4-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday to earn a save. Dominguez did not allow a run while striking out one and walking one on 19 pitches in the frame. The veteran closer now has three saves in four chances this season, to go along with a 4.00 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and 50 strikeouts in 45 innings of work split between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Orioles. Dominguez getting the save chance (his second in five days) is notable as regular closer Craig Kimbrel has struggled recently. This situation is worth monitoring moving forward, although Dominguez should have some fantasy value regardless of whether he's getting save chances.

Seranthony Dominguez Notches First Save Friday
Philadelphia Phillies reliever Seranthony Dominguez earned his first save of the season in Friday's 5-3 victory over the Orioles. Dominguez picked this one up in the 11th inning after usual closers Jose Alvarado and Jeff Hoffman had already been used. After starting the season with a 7.71 ERA and 1.64 WHIP over his first 16 appearances, Friday's outing marked the righty's 10th straight scoreless appearance in which he's posted a 0.00 ERA, 0.52 WHIP, and a 2:7 BB:K. Dominguez has been good of late, but don't count on too many more save chances unless something were to happen to Alvarado and Hoffman.

Seranthony Dominguez Picks Up Second Save Of The Week
Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez earned his second save of the week and year as he protected a two-run lead in the ninth frame versus the Miami Marlins Thursday. The 28-year-old was one of just two relievers that were not used in Wednesday's 9-8 extra-inning loss to Miami. Dominguez, this season has a record of 2-2 and a 4.45 ERA in 36 appearances. In 30/1 innings pitched, the right-hander has struck out 32 opposing team batters.

Seranthony Dominguez Picks Up First Save Of Season Tuesday
Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez earned his first save of the season in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Marlins. Dominguez came in to pitch the bottom of the ninth inning up by two and turned in a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout to end the game. Closer Craig Kimbrel had pitched in each of the last two games, so Dominguez got the call to close this one out. The 26-year-old has pitched just 29 1/3 innings this season due to injury and has posted a lackluster 4.60 ERA with five blown saves. His fantasy value is very limited now that Kimbrel has clearly taken over the closer's role for the Phillies.

Phillies Reinstate Seranthony Dominguez From Injured List
The Philadelphia Phillies reinstated relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez (oblique) from the 15-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned right-hander Andrew Bellatti to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. Dominguez will return to a setup role in front of closer Craig Kimbrel in Philadelphia's bullpen after missing around five weeks with a left-oblique strain. As such, the 28-year-old Dominican right-hander will be an option once again in leagues that reward points for holds. Before landing on the injured list, Dominguez had a 4.33 ERA (4.32 FIP), 1.56 WHIP, 11 walks and 28 strikeouts in 27 relief innings. If anything were to happen to Kimbrel, Dominguez would be in the mix for saves in Philly.

Seranthony Dominguez Expected To Rejoin Team On Tuesday
Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez (oblique) is set to rejoin the team on Tuesday. The right-hander has missed the last five weeks of action due to an oblique strain. His return will give the Phillies bullpen a significant boost that it desperately needs. Dominguez holds a 4.33 ERA and 1.56 WHIP with 28 strikeouts across 27 innings this season. He's expected to resume his role as a late-inning option in Philly this week.

Seranthony Dominguez Ready For Rehab Assignment
Philadelphia Phillies reliever Seranthony Dominguez (oblique) threw live batting practice on Monday and could begin a rehab assignment this weekend, according to MLB.com. The right-hander has been on the shelf since the middle of June after straining his left oblique. Across 27 innings this year, Dominguez owns a 4.33 ERA and 1.56 WHIP with 28 strikeouts and 11 walks. After saving nine games in 2022, he has zero this season, and it'll likely be the same story when he returns, probably by the end of the month. Dominguez has earned 10 holds, though, and should be a factor late in games moving forward.

Seranthony Dominguez Throws To Hitters
Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez (oblique) was able to pitch to hitters prior to Friday's game. The right-hander has been sidelined since the middle of June due to an oblique strain. The organization is hopeful that Dominguez can return before the end of July. He's currently headed in the right direction, but it's uncertain if he'll need a rehab assignment before rejoining the team. He holds a 4.33 ERA, 1.56 WHIP with 28/11 K/BB ratio across 27 innings this season.

Seranthony Dominguez Plays Catch On Sunday
Philadelphia Phillies relief pitcher Seranthony Dominguez (oblique) played catch on Sunday for the first time in nine days, per beat writer Matt Gelb. It sounds like the 28-year-old is starting his progression but he still has a ways to go before he can make it back to the Phillies. He was placed on the 15-day injured list back on June 17 so he has a shot to make it back before the All-Star break. Dominguez mostly struggled this season, putting up a 4.33 ERA, 1.56 WHIP, and 28:11 K/BB ratio over 27 innings (32 appearances).
