Josh Phegley Activated on Friday

Oakland Athletics catcher Josh Phegley (thumb) has been activated from the 10-day injured list on Friday. Phegley missed all month due to a nagging thumb injury. He's hitting .243/.283/.427 with 10 home runs and 47 RBI this season. He's not fantastic with the bat, but could offer help in deep leagues and AL-only formats.

Matt Chapman Smacks Two Homers On Wednesday

Oakland Athletics third baseman Matt Chapman was 2-for-4 with two solo home runs and three runs scored during Wednesday's 9-5 win over the San Francisco Giants. It was a needed boost of offense from the 26-year-old, who is slashing .155/.242/.431 over his past 15 games. On the season, Chapman is batting .255 with 27 HRs, 67 RBI, and 76 runs scored. Despite his recent lack of production, he remains a viable asset in all fantasy formats.

Homer Bailey Twirls Gem Against Giants

Oakland Athletics starter Homer Bailey allowed two hits across seven scoreless innings during Wednesday's 9-5 win over the San Francisco Giants. He struck out seven batters while walking one. It was a fantastic performance from the 33-year-old, who surrendered seven runs to the Chicago Cubs in his previous start. Bailey remains tough to trust on a nightly basis, as evidenced by his 5.22 ERA through 24 starts. At best, he is a streaming option against mid-tier opponents. Avoid him in his next projected start against the New York Yankees.

Liam Hendriks Strikes Out Three During Four-Out Save

Oakland Athletics closer Liam Hendriks allowed one hit across 1 1/3 innings of work during Wednesday's 9-5 win over the San Francisco Giants. He struck out three batters to earn his 13th save of the season. Hendriks has not allowed a run yet in August. The 30-year-old owns a 1.56 ERA on the season to go along with a 1.03 WHIP and 88/19 K/BB rate. Despite the occasional hiccup, Hendriks is deserving of ownership in all formats that count saves as a scoring category.

Matt Olson Drives In Two Runs On Wednesday

Oakland Athletics first baseman Matt Olson was 2-for-4 with two RBI during Wednesday's 9-5 win over the San Francisco Giants. Olson now has seven RBI over his past seven games. The 25-year-old has had an adequate season at the plate, slashing .257/.343/.520 with 23 home runs, 54 RBI, and 43 runs scored. Olson strikes out in 27.8 percent of his at-bats, which is a cause for concern in leagues with batting average as a scoring category. Nevertheless, the A's slugger is a worthy asset in leagues with 10 or more teams.
