Minnesota Vikings star wide receiver Stefon Diggs is back at practice Tuesday after getting a breather on Monday afternoon. Diggs was excellent in the Vikings preseason opener against the Denver Broncos. In his one series on offense, Diggs caught all three passes that were thrown his way from Kirk Cousins for a total of 35 yards and a touchdown. If that drive was any indication, Diggs and Cousins look like they already have fantastic chemistry. Diggs is a tier below the uber-elite fantasy wide receivers, but he still can be a WR1. He is a good target around the third or fourth round.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs and cornerback Xavier Rhodes were held out of practice by head coach Mike Zimmer on Wednesday after arguing. "They did not make me happy," Zimmer said, confirming that it was his decision that both players did not practice. "It's not injury related." There's really nothing to see here. Both players are huge parts of the offense and defense, respectively, and Diggs may have an even bigger year in 2018 with Kirk Cousins now under center.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs isn't worried about his contract situation as he enters the fourth and final year of his rookie deal. "This is a business and there's a lot going on," Diggs said. "Being a small portion of it I'm definitely sitting back just working every day and letting that stuff handle itself. I have people who will handle that. For me, it's just coming in and working every day. It's not about any contract or anything like that, I'm trying to win. That's all I'm concerned about." Diggs took a small step back last year with 64 catches for 849 yards, but he set a career high with eight touchdowns and is one of the better young rising wideouts in the league.
