Rachaad White • RB • Commanders

Rachaad White's Week 8 Workload Remains a Question Mark

Washington Commanders running back Rachaad White has yet to exceed eight carries in a game this season, but Jacory Croskey-Merritt's (groin) placement on injured reserve gives him an opportunity to change that against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. White played 70.5% of the offensive snaps with Croskey-Merritt sidelined in Week 6, yet received just seven carries for 27 yards. His four receptions for 30 yards and a touchdown helped make that outing productive for PPR managers, while Philadelphia's defense allowed Javonte Williams to rush for 155 yards and a score in Week 7. The matchup offers some encouragement, although head coach Dan Quinn has indicated that Washington plans to increase Austin Ekeler's involvement, with Jeremy McNichols also available. White carries no Week 8 injury designation and sits at RB18 in RotoBaller's updated PPR rankings. His receiving ability and opportunity to lead the backfield make him a reasonable RB2 consideration, particularly in PPR leagues, even if the rushing workload remains difficult to project.

Germie Bernard • WR • Steelers

Germie Bernard's Expanded Role Faces a Week 8 Test

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Germie Bernard has played at least 91% of the offensive snaps in each of his last three games, but his weekly targets have fluctuated from nine to 12 to five. He caught 11 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown against Tampa Bay in Week 6 before being held to three catches for 27 yards against New Orleans. That leaves him at WR27 in RotoBaller's Week 8 rankings, a viable PPR flex consideration for Sunday's home game against Cleveland. The Browns have allowed no more than 182 passing yards in any of their past three contests, and Bernard caught just two passes for 11 yards in the teams' first meeting. He played only 40% of Pittsburgh's snaps in that game, however, and his role has since changed substantially. Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) and Roman Wilson (finger) remain on injured reserve, while Ben Skowronek (calf) is also inactive, keeping Bernard heavily involved in an undermanned receiving group.

Jauan Jennings • WR • Vikings

Jauan Jennings Blocks a Trade Back to the 49ers

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jauan Jennings reportedly opposed a return to the San Francisco 49ers, causing a proposed trade between the two teams to fall apart, according to Ari Meirov. The 29-year-old signed a one-year deal with Minnesota in May after spending six seasons in San Francisco, where he caught 55 passes for 643 yards and nine touchdowns in 2025. His production has dropped considerably with the Vikings, recording just four receptions for 43 yards on eight targets across five games. Jennings has struggled to establish himself in a receiving corps led by Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison, prompting speculation about his future ahead of the November 10 trade deadline. While a reunion with San Francisco now appears unlikely, a move elsewhere remains possible. For fantasy managers, Jennings remains difficult to roster in standard leagues given his limited involvement in Minnesota's passing attack.

Dont'e Thornton Jr. • WR • Raiders

Dont'e Thornton Jr. a Healthy Scratch on Sunday

Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Dont'e Thornton Jr. is a healthy scratch on Sunday for the team's Week 8 road matchup against the New York Jets. Receiver Malik Benson is also a healthy scratch with Jack Bech returning from Injured Reserve this weekend. Thornton was activated from IR himself earlier this week, but he will not make his return against the Jets and finds himself as the odd man out in the Raiders' receiving corps behind Tre Tucker, Jalen Nailor, Bech, Cody White, and Dareke Young. Unless the Raiders suffer another injury to their receiving corps, the 23-year-old Thornton could be a healthy scratch again in Week 9 against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Nov. 8. The former fourth-rounder in the 2025 NFL Draft from Tennessee has yet to play a game in 2026 for Vegas after catching just 10 of his 30 targets for 135 yards and no touchdowns in 15 games (eight starts) in his first year in the NFL in a bad Raiders offense. Thornton only deserves to be stashed right now in deep dynasty/keeper leagues.

Kenny Gainwell • RB • Buccaneers

Kenny Gainwell Officially Active Against Falcons

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Kenny Gainwell (hip) is officially active for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The 27-year-old was listed as questionable after missing Wednesday's practice, but returned as a limited participant Thursday before logging a full session Friday. Gainwell rushed for a season-high 88 yards on 14 carries in Tampa Bay's 43-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers in Week 7. However, his increased workload came in a blowout, with starter Bucky Irving resting in the fourth quarter after rushing for 106 yards and two touchdowns. Gainwell had recorded just 19 carries through his first six games, making last week's performance an exception to his usual involvement. With Irving firmly established as Tampa Bay's lead back and Sean Tucker also available, Gainwell remains more of a deep-league insurance option than a dependable fantasy starter against Atlanta.

Jonah Coleman • RB • Broncos

Jonah Coleman Faces Workload Questions Despite Week 8 Opportunity

Denver Broncos running back Jonah Coleman has a better opportunity to contribute in Sunday's rematch with the Kansas City Chiefs than he did in Week 1, when he did not record a carry. RJ Harvey (knee) was limited Thursday, did not practice Friday, and was ruled out before Denver placed him on injured reserve Saturday. Coleman led the Broncos' backfield in snaps upon returning from an ankle injury in Week 7, rushing nine times for 54 yards and catching two passes for 15 yards against Arizona. He also produced 58 scrimmage yards and a touchdown on 13 touches when Harvey missed Week 2. Coleman sits at RB26 in RotoBaller's Week 8 rankings, putting him in the flex conversation for 12-team leagues. However, J.K. Dobbins remains involved and handled Denver's one-yard touchdown carry against Arizona last week. Kansas City also allowed 100 rushing yards to Emanuel Wilson in Week 7, although he needed 24 carries to reach that total. Coleman's expanded opportunities are encouraging, but his workload and goal-line involvement remain uncertain.

Calvin Ridley • WR • Titans

Calvin Ridley Officially Active Against the Bengals

Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hip) is officially active for the Week 8 game on Sunday on the road against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Jim Wyatt of the team's official website. Ridley will return from a one-game absence due to a hip injury, and he should have an expanded role in the Titans' passing game on Sunday in what should be a favorable game script, with rookie first-round wideout Carnell Tate sidelined with a shoulder injury. Ridley's return on Sunday is bad news for any fantasy managers using Elic Ayomanor as a flex play in Week 8 with Tate ruled out. The 31-year-old Ridley has not been a very active member of Tennessee's offense when he has been healthy this year, though, catching only five passes on 10 targets for 81 yards without a touchdown. Ridley will play against the Bengals, but he still is not a recommended starting option in fantasy football lineups. RotoBaller has Ridley ranked as the No. 75 receiver this weekend, even with Tate sidelined.

Jordyn Tyson • WR • Saints

Jordyn Tyson Could Make NFL Debut in Week 9

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) could make his NFL debut in Week 9 against the Cleveland Browns, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The rookie first-round pick has been sidelined since suffering a hamstring injury during an August joint practice with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Schefter reports that Tyson is nearing a return, even if he isn't ready for the November 8 matchup. The Saints have a Week 8 bye, giving the eighth overall pick additional recovery time. General manager Mickey Loomis said on October 21 that Tyson would not practice that week, making his potential return to the field an important development. Chris Olave has led New Orleans' receiving corps, while Devaughn Vele has caught 33 passes for 348 yards and three touchdowns through seven games. Tyson could eventually challenge Vele for opportunities behind Olave, although the rookie's extended absence creates uncertainty about his immediate involvement. He remains worth stashing in fantasy leagues ahead of his anticipated debut.

Jakobi Meyers • WR • Jaguars

Jakobi Meyers active Sunday vs. Colts

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers (hamstring) is officially active for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 8, according to John Shipley of Sports Illustrated. Meyers was questionable to play this weekend after missing Friday's practice, but the 29-year-old will suit up for a good matchup. It is bad news as Brian Thomas Jr. looks to get more involved to make himself more attractive before the Nov. 10 trade deadline. Meyers comes out of Jacksonville's Week 7 bye with 20 catches on 28 targets for 285 yards and two touchdowns in his first six games of his first full season with the Jaguars. Meyers is coming off a strong game in the team's last contest in London against the division-rival Houston Texans in Week 6, when he caught five of a season-high 10 targets for a season-high 83 yards, but he has not found the end zone since a Week 3 win over the New England Patriots. The former undrafted free agent from NC State found the end zone twice in the first two weeks of the 2026 campaign and will try to find paydirt for the third time against the floundering Colts. RotoBaller has Meyers ranked as a WR3/flex option in Week 8.

Breece Hall • RB • Jets

Breece Hall officially inactive Sunday

New York Jets running back Breece Hall (quadriceps) has officially been ruled out for the Week 8 game against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday and will miss a fifth straight game, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. It is disappointing for Hall's fantasy managers after it looked like the 25-year-old was trending in the right direction by practicing in a limited fashion earlier this week. With Hall on the bench yet again this weekend, Braelon Allen will need to be started in all fantasy football leagues as New York's top back against the Raiders. Hall's next chance to make a return for the Jets will be in Week 9 on the road against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, Nov. 8. In his fifth year in the NFL, Hall has been a bust so far in fantasy, playing in only three games and averaging 3.2 yards per carry for 163 rushing yards and one touchdown, adding 10 catches on 10 targets for 102 yards through the air. In his four starts with Hall sidelined, Allen has been great for fantasy managers, carrying the ball 72 times for 357 yards (5.0 yards per attempt) and a touchdown while adding 11 catches for 64 yards on 15 targets in the passing game.

George Pickens Active for Week 8 Against Cardinals

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens (shoulder, hamstring) is officially active for Sunday's Week 8 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals, according to Jon Machota. Pickens was listed as questionable after receiving a limited designation on Wednesday's estimated injury report and practicing in a limited capacity Thursday and Friday. The 25-year-old has caught 19 passes for 260 yards and two touchdowns over his last three games, including four receptions for 57 yards and a score against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 7. With Pickens available alongside CeeDee Lamb, Dallas will have its top two receivers despite KaVontae Turpin (ribs) being ruled out. RotoBaller's Week 8 rankings place Pickens at WR12, making him a strong WR2 option for fantasy managers against Arizona.

Dalton Kincaid • TE • Bills

Dalton Kincaid Playing in Week 8

As expected, Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (chest) is active on Sunday in the Week 8 tilt against the visiting Baltimore Ravens, per the NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. In addition to Kincaid playing through a minor chest injury, quarterback Josh Allen will get top receiver DJ Moore back from a shoulder injury that he originally suffered in the Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions. Now that the 27-year-old Kincaid is officially active this weekend, fantasy managers should consider him at least a low-end TE1 option against Baltimore. Kincaid suffered his chest injury in the Week 6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, but he is ready to go after having extra time to recover thanks to Buffalo's bye in Week 7. The former first-rounder will look to get back on track against a vulnerable Baltimore defense after catching just nine passes on 12 targets for 52 yards and no touchdowns in his last three games. In the first two games of the 2026 campaign, Dalton was looking like a true TE breakout with 12 catches for 225 yards and a touchdown on 14 targets.

DJ Moore Active on Sunday Against Ravens

Buffalo Bills wide receiver DJ Moore (shoulder) is officially active for Sunday's contest against the visiting Baltimore Ravens in Week 8, according to Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network. Moore will make his return to Buffalo's starting lineup this weekend after healing up during last week's bye. The 29-year-old originally suffered an SC joint sprain in his shoulder in the Week 2 win over the Detroit Lions and attempted to play through it in the following weeks, catching seven of 12 targets for 78 yards and no touchdowns in games against the Los Angeles Chargers and New England Patriots before being shut down. Now that Moore is back, fantasy managers will be hoping that he can pick up as quarterback Josh Allen's top target. Before his shoulder injury in Week 2, Moore caught five of eight targets for 100 yards and his first touchdown of the year in the Week 1 win over the Houston Texans in his Bills debut. Fantasy managers will want to get Moore back into their lineups on Sunday against a Ravens secondary that has been vulnerable this year. RotoBaller has Moore ranked as the No. 14 receiver for Week 8.

Jadarian Price • RB • Seahawks

Jadarian Price Still Awaiting Activation Despite Being Cleared to Play

Seattle Seahawks running back Jadarian Price (chest) is expected to play Monday night against the Chicago Bears, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, but he remains on injured reserve. Price was limited in Thursday's practice before logging full sessions Friday and Saturday, and he carries no injury designation for Week 8. Head coach Mike Macdonald said Saturday that Seattle was still working through roster decisions and would make a move Monday if it elects to activate the rookie first-round pick. Price rushed for 119 yards on 28 carries before missing four games with a chest injury. He also lost two fumbles across his first three appearances. Zach Charbonnet is confirmed to make his season debut Monday, while Emanuel Wilson is coming off a 100-yard rushing performance with a touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 7. Even if activated, Price faces an uncertain workload in a crowded backfield, making him a risky flex option for fantasy managers.

Omar Cooper Jr. • WR • Jets

Omar Cooper Jr. Carries Flex Appeal With Some Week 8 Risk

New York Jets wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. has a reasonable case for fantasy lineups Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders after back-to-back 100-yard games. He turned seven targets into six catches for 103 yards and a touchdown against New England, then caught all five of his targets for 115 yards and another score against Miami. The Raiders have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to slot receivers, giving Cooper an encouraging matchup. His recent numbers are impressive, although two catches accounted for 112 of his 115 yards in Week 7, leaving room for a quieter performance if the explosive plays aren't there. Cooper's snap share also fell from 82% in Week 6 to 64% in Week 7, partly because the Jets used more single-receiver formations rather than because he lost his role. He sits at WR25 in RotoBaller's Week 8 rankings and is a defensible WR3/flex start, particularly for managers willing to accept some volatility.

Lamar Jackson • QB • Ravens

Lamar Jackson Less Than 100% for Week 8, Will Still be Mobile

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) will be less than 100% in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills, according to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network. However, Wolfe reports that Jackson "does plan to be mobile." The star quarterback missed the last three weeks with a high-ankle sprain, and during that time, the Ravens dropped to 4-3. While they're still above .500, they also occupy the last-place spot in a competitive AFC North. While Jackson won't be able to utilize his entire skill set on Sunday, the fact that he's still going to be mobile and run around the field is great news for fantasy managers. In the 3.5 games before injuring his ankle, Jackson racked up 967 passing yards, 144 rushing yards, seven total touchdowns, and just two turnovers. His rushing upside and improved passing skills will allow him to rank in the mid-range QB1 tier this week, even though he's not 100%. He'll likely be busy in a potential high-scoring affair against Josh Allen and the Bills.

Dalton Kincaid • TE • Bills

Dalton Kincaid Optimistic About Playing in Week 8

Buffalo Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid (chest) is "optimistic" that he will be able to play in Sunday's Week 8 contest against the Baltimore Ravens, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. Kincaid is officially listed as questionable after practicing in a limited capacity all week long. While the decision whether to make the tight end active rests with the Bills, it certainly sounds like Kincaid feels as though he can play. If so, he'd be looking to build on a seven-catch, 38-yard performance from prior to Buffalo's bye week. The 27-year-old has been very inconsistent in fantasy football this year, but based on pure talent alone, he has TE1 upside against a Ravens defense allowing the fifth-most touchdowns to tight ends in 2026. If Kincaid can't suit up, Dawson Knox would operate as the Bills' primary tight end with some streaming appeal in fantasy football.

Jonathan Taylor • RB • Colts

Colts Looking for Big Package in Potential Jonathan Taylor Trade

As the Indianapolis Colts continue to field trade calls on running back Jonathan Taylor, the team is reportedly looking for a package similar to what the Carolina Panthers received from the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for Christian McCaffrey four years ago, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. That trade, which also occurred in the days leading up to the trade deadline, sent McCaffrey to San Francisco in exchange for second-, third-, fourth-, and fifth-round picks. That's a hefty price tag, but it also falls in line with previous reporting that indicated the Colts wanted more than a second-round pick for a star running back. Now, with less than 10 days until the trade deadline, teams must decide if he's worth the haul. Taylor had 1,963 scrimmage yards and 20 touchdowns last season, and he's already up to 765 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns this year despite playing in a below-average offense.

Raiders Plan to Start Kirk Cousins as Long as Possible

The Las Vegas Raiders will continue to play quarterback Kirk Cousins "as long as possible," according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com. While there has been some chatter about the transition plan to No. 1 pick Fernando Mendoza in recent weeks, it doesn't sound like the Raiders are ready to make a quarterback move. Vegas opened the season 3-0 but now finds itself in the midst of a four-game losing streak. However, Schefter reports that the Raiders don't believe Cousins is responsible for their latest woes. The 38-year-old has impressed to the tune of 1,877 passing yards, 16 touchdowns, and just five interceptions this season, although some of those positive statistics did come during garbage time. Still, the veteran quarterback has the team in a decent spot ahead of the midway point of the 2026 season, and we should expect to see him leading the offense for the foreseeable future while Mendoza continues to develop and watch from the sideline.

Myles Garrett • OLB • Rams

Myles Garrett Expected to Practice Ahead of Week 9

Los Angeles Rams pass-rusher Myles Garrett (knee) is expected to practice ahead of Week 9, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com. Although the Rams were optimistic that Garrett would practice last week and that didn't happen, they're much more optimistic about his ability to get on the practice field leading up to Week 9. That doesn't necessarily mean that Garrett will suit up next weekend against the Commanders, but it's certainly a step in the right direction. Garrett hasn't played since the season opener, and even then, he clearly wasn't his usual self. The 31-year-old will look to get back to his pre-Los Angeles form, such as when he racked up 23 sacks with the Browns last year. As the Rams look to get back above .500 and stay in the playoff mix, having Garrett healthy and available to attack opposing offenses is pivotal.
