Myles Garrett Cleared To Play On Thursday

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (hip) missed Tuesday's practice but returned to a limited session on Wednesday and won't carry an injury designation into Thursday night's divisional battle against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Although Garrett was a bust for fantasy managers in IDP leagues with no tackles or sacks in the Week 11 loss to the New Orleans Saints, he'll be back in play as a starting defensive lineman this week in what should be a physical, defensive battle on Thursday with adverse weather conditions expected in Cleveland. The 28-year-old reigning Defensive Player of the Year is on pace for another double-digit-sack season and had three sacks back in Week 9 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Steelers QB Russell Wilson has been sacked 12 times in his four games this year, so Garrett has a good shot to bounce back in Week 12.

Myles Garrett Does Not Practice Tuesday

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (hip) did not practice on Tuesday. Garrett was not listed on Monday's injury report so his sudden appearance is concerning for Browns fans. The Browns' defense has not played anywhere near the level it did in 2023 when they were one of the best units in the league. Without Garrett, this defense would crumble. Garrett has recorded seven sacks and two forced fumbles this season. He has not been as dominant as in past years, but he has still been excellent. The Browns will host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday night so Garrett's sudden appearance on the injury report does not bode well for his chances to play this week. Garrett's absence would signal a boost in value for Steelers players. Wide receiver George Pickens, running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, and quarterback Russell Wilson would all benefit from Garrett's absence. This is already not a scary matchup for Steelers players and it could quickly turn into a must-start situation for each player if Garrett is poised to miss this game.

Myles Garrett Will Play On Sunday

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (Achilles, foot, thigh) has been cleared to play in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders and wasn't listed on the final injury report on Friday. It's clear that Garrett isn't 100 percent healthy and may not be at all the rest of the year, but he's going to play through his injuries for now. The All-Pro pass-rusher didn't practice on Wednesday, was limited on Thursday and was a full-go on Friday. The 28-year-old reportedly could eventually need surgery on his foot, but he'll be trying to put that off until the offseason. With a potential limited snap count, Garrett will be a more volatile IDP fantasy option. As long as he's on the field, though, he's worth starting in those fantasy formats, especially against a lackluster Raiders offense that will be missing their top receiver in Davante Adams (hamstring) in Week 4.

Myles Garrett Upgraded To Limited On Thursday

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (Achilles, foot, thigh) was upgraded to a limited participant during Thursday's practice. Garrett missed practice to open the week, but was a limited during Thursday's session. It sounds like the superstar pass rusher plans to play through his injuries. This might be something the teams needs to maintenance throughout the season and give Garrett rest days. They can't afford for Garrett to miss any games. Garrett has six tackles and two sacks through the first three games of the season. His absence would be a huge blow to this defensive unit.

Myles Garrett To Miss Practice On Wednesday

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (Achilles, foot, thigh) is expected to miss the first practice of the week on Wednesday. Garrett has been playing through multiple injuries of late and was seen walking off the field gingerly during the team's Week 3 loss to the New York Giants. The good news is that the All-Pro pass-rusher and reigning Defensive Player of the Year had clean results on his MRI exam on Monday and will attempt to play through his injuries for now. The Browns are considering the 28-year-old to be day-to-day for now. Garrett probably isn't going to practice much while working through these injuries, but we'd expect him to suit up in Week 4 in a juicy matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. Garrett is a must-start in IDP fantasy lineups as long as he's active, but his injuries certainly give him more of a bust factor.

Myles Garrett Considered Day-To-Day

Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski said that All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett's foot injury is day-to-day, while offensive guard Wyatt Teller (knee) could land on Injured Reserve after suffering a knee injury in the Week 3 loss to the New York Giants. Garrett missed practice time last week but didn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's contest against the Giants before suffering multiple injuries to his foot/leg. The 28-year-old had an MRI exam on Monday, which apparently didn't show anything significant enough to rule him out for Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders. He played a season-low 59% of the defensive snaps in Week 3 and could be limited moving forward if he continues to play through his injuries, making him more boom/bust in IDP fantasy lineups. After finishing with sacks in each of the first two games, Garrett had just one solo tackle against the G-Men.

Myles Garrett To Undergo An MRI

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (foot) will undergo an MRI. The 28-year-old has battled a foot injury, although he's been playing through it. Despite that, he's been a reliable defender for the Browns this season, totaling two sacks in the team's first two contests. But the results of the MRI will determine if Garrett can continue to play. If the veteran doesn't receive good news after the MRI, he may not be available for IDP managers for a while. With the Browns sitting on one win through the first three games of the 2024-25 campaign, being without Garrett obviously wouldn't be ideal.

Myles Garrett Playing Through Injury, Could Eventually Need Surgery

Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett (foot) is dealing with the same injury to both his feet, per ESPN's Daniel Oyefusi. He might require surgery in the future, but for now, he's playing through the issue. The 28-year-old continues to dominate in 2024, racking up five tackles, two sacks, and two forced fumbles through two games. He is one of the top defenders in the entire NFL, so Browns fans will be happy to hear that he's pushing through injury to stay on the field.

Myles Garrett Will Play In Week 3

Cleveland Browns All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett (foot) was limited in practice on Friday and was removed from the final injury report, meaning he will be active in Week 3 on Sunday versus the New York Giants. There was some concern as to whether Garrett could play this weekend after he missed practices on Wednesday and Thursday. The 28-year-old pass-rusher said he's feeling better after practice on Friday and needs to remain in all starting IDP lineups now that he's locked in to play. There's the risk of the Browns limiting Garrett's defensive snaps if he's not 100 percent, but Garrett is a talent that needs to be starting if he's active. The five-time Pro Bowler has two sacks, five solo tackles and two forced fumbles through two weeks in 2024 after winning Defensive Player of the year for the first time in his career in 2023.

Myles Garrett Misses Another Practice

Cleveland Browns All-Pro defensive end Myles Garrett (foot) missed his second straight day of practice this week on Thursday. Garrett said he didn't "feel great" after injuring his foot in the team's Week 2 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and now that he's missed the first two practices of the week, fantasy managers in IDP leagues should be worried that he may not play this Sunday in a great matchup against the New York Giants. If the 28-year-old pass-rusher returns to practice on Friday, he'll give himself a chance to suit up in Week 3. It's expected that Garrett will end up playing through his foot injury, even if he's not completely at 100 percent health. It's hard to recommend benching one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL if he's active, but Garrett may not be able to play his normal number of defensive snaps if he's active this weekend.
