Jordan Whittington Next in Line for Usage Bump?

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington could earn more targets during Thursday's Week 16 contest against the Seattle Seahawks with Davante Adams (hamstring) not expected to play. Los Angeles has shown an inconsistent pecking order behind Adams and Puka Nacua this year, with players like Whittington, Xavier Smith, Tutu Atwell, and Konata Mumpfield all getting different opportunities to produce. With that said, Whittington is the early favorite to step up as the No. 2 receiver alongside Nacua this week. He had two games with a snap share of at least 80% before the Rams' Week 6 bye, and he also commanded four targets in the game that Nacua missed earlier in the year. His role has dwindled lately, and his usage fell all the way down to a 6% snap share last week (partly due to injury). However, he is still one of the more established and dependable receivers on the depth chart, and he should get the first crack at earning Adams' vacated targets. With that said, he'll be going up against a strong Seahawks defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers in 2025. Between his non-guaranteed role and a challenging matchup, Whittington isn't a dependable fantasy option in most leagues for Week 16.

Jordan Whittington Could Benefit From Teammate's Injury on Short Week

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (back) could be worth a look on the waiver wire this week in deeper fantasy football formats, with Davante Adams (hamstring) up in the air to play on a short week this Thursday night against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. Whittington also found himself on the Week 16 injury report, though, and was listed as limited during the team's walkthrough practice on Monday. The 25-year-old played a season-low four offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions, but that could have been due to his back injury. Whittington was targeted only once and failed to haul it in. He is probably a long shot for production this week against a tough Seattle defense, even if Adams is inactive, but he should be in on starting three-wide sets if he's on the field. Hurting Whittington's chances to make an impact is the fact that Tutu Atwell returned from IR last week.

Jordan Whittington Buried on Depth Chart Ahead of Tougher Matchup

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington remains off the fantasy radar in his role behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Whittington is nothing more than a fantasy handcuff, and he's not a reliable fantasy option for Sunday's Week 13 contest against the Carolina Panthers. He's coming off a game against the Buccaneers in which he tied his season-high with three receptions, and he added 17 yards on a 61% snap share. Evidently, even when Whittington is having one of his best games of the year, he's still seeing relatively modest target and snap share numbers. Plus, this week, he's facing off against a Panthers defense allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025. Whittington can be left on waivers in all leagues. He ranks as the overall WR84 in RotoBaller's fantasy rankings for Week 13.

Jordan Whittington Lacks Volume Despite Sizable Snap Share

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington has maintained a sizable snap share within his offense, but he continues to be a low-volume option. He has played at least 40% of the snaps in every game he has been healthy for this season, but he hasn't surpassed 6.2 fantasy points (PPR) in a single contest so far. In fact, over his last two full games, he has just one target, one catch, and nine receiving yards. The Texas product has also started to see more special teams opportunities, returning a pair of kicks in Week 11. Now, even in a relatively favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12, Whittington is not a reliable fantasy option. He ranks as the overall WR89 in this week's RotoBaller fantasy rankings. As long as Puka Nacua and Davante Adams are healthy, Whittington can be left on waivers.

Jordan Whittington Locked Into Depth Role in Los Angeles

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington has played in all 10 games this season and has served as the primary No. 3 wide receiver behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Whittingon owns a 53.5% snap share and has run 44.7% of the team's routes this season, collecting 13 catches for 130 yards on 18 targets. The Texas product had a prime opportunity to produce in Week 7 against the Jacksonville Jaguars when Puka Nacua missed the game due to an ankle injury, but Whittington was unable to capitalize, catching just two of four targets for nine yards. There was optimism for the 25-year-old to step in and be a potential streaming option that week after he made two spot starts in Weeks 4 and 5 last season and totaled 13 catches for 151 yards on 18 targets. For now, he will continue to operate behind the Rams' two star wideouts and remain off fantasy radars.

Jordan Whittington Suiting Up Against Niners

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (back) is officially active for Sunday's Week 10 contest against the San Francisco 49ers. He had previously been listed as questionable. Despite suiting up Sunday, Whittington can't be trusted as a reliable fantasy option. The 25-year-old saw his snap share drop to 44 percent last week, and he didn't command a single target in the Rams' win. With both Puka Nacua and Davante Adams healthy, Whittington's can be left on waivers in most fantasy leagues.

Jordan Whittington Off the Fantasy Radar as Injury Lingers

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (back) was not a reliable fantasy option when healthy. Now, he's listed as questionable for Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers and remains off the fantasy radar. The 25-year-old saw his snap share drop to 44 percent last week, and he didn't command a single target in the Rams' win. He has a total of 12 catches for 121 yards this year and hasn't topped three receptions in a single contest despite playing 92 percent of the snaps in Puka Nacua's stead during Week 6. Even when Nacua was sidelined, Whittington wasn't a reliable fantasy option. Now that Nacua and Davante Adams are both healthy and Whittington's status is up in the air, he belongs on waivers in all fantasy leagues.

Jordan Whittington a Steady Third Option in Los Angeles

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington has officially cemented himself as the No. 3 option on the depth chart after Tutu Atwell (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve. Whittington has multiple catches in each of his last three games, but he has been held to fewer than 6.5 fantasy points (PPR) in all seven of his contests so far. Even with Puka Nacua (ankle) sidelined in Week 7, Whittington was unable to achieve fantasy relevance. As a result, he remains off the fantasy radar in Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints. With Nacua back and the Rams having a chance to go run-heavy this week, there aren't enough opportunities to go around for Whittington.

Jordan Whittington to See Larger Role

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington will move up the depth chart for Sunday's Week 7 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Rams will be without top wideout Puka Nacua (ankle) for this game. That means, Whittington could move into the No. 2 role behind Davante Adams for this game. The 25-year-old has been quiet, but saw a season-high four targets and played 92 percent of the offensive snaps during last week's game. The expectation is that Whittington will be more involved with Nacua unable to play. There should be flex value here against a shaky Jaguars secondary this weekend.

Jordan Whittington a Potential Streamer for Week 7

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington has occupied a depth role for most of this season, but he could leap onto the fantasy radar as a solid streamer in the WR3/flex range this week. Previously, Whittington has split No. 3 receiver duties with Tutu Atwell. However, Puka Nacua (ankle) has been ruled out, which could put Whittington in line to start against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Whereas Atwell is more of a deep threat whose skill set aligns with a certain group of play calls, Whittington can be an every-down receiver. He played 92 percent of the snaps last week, and while his final stat line was underwhelming (four targets, three catches, 23 yards), he should be able to post better results in Week 7 with a full week of practice as the No. 2 receiver under his belt. Davante Adams will be Stafford's primary focus in the passing game, but we wouldn't be surprised if Whittington is next in the pecking order. He's facing a Jaguars defense that has allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025. Therefore, he's a solid low-end WR3/flex in deeper leagues.
