Jordan Whittington Officially Questionable for Wild-Card Game

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (knee) is considered questionable for Saturday's Wild-Card playoff contest against the Carolina Panthers, according to Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News. Whittington injured his knee in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday and didn't practice at all this week, suggesting that he's unlikely to play this weekend. The 25-year-old has not been a big part of the offense all year long, catching only 18 passes for 171 yards and no touchdowns. The Rams will be getting Davante Adams (hamstring) back after he missed the final three games of the regular season, so there won't be a ton of WR targets to go around behind Adams and star wideout Puka Nacua against the Panthers. Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith, and Tutu Atwell will be battling for scraps behind Adams and Nacua.

Jordan Whittington Still Not Practicing

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (knee) missed practice again on Wednesday due to a knee injury, per Adam Grosbard of the Los Angeles Daily News. Whittington was injured in the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals and is looking unlikely to be available to play in the Wild-Card playoff matchup on Saturday on the road against the Carolina Panthers. The 25-year-old hasn't been a fantasy asset all year, though, catching only 18 passes for 171 yards and no touchdowns on 25 targets for the Rams. If Whittington is unable to play this weekend in Carolina, it could open up a few more snaps on offense for the likes of receivers Xavier Smith, Konata Mumpford, and Tutu Atwell behind top wideouts Puka Nacua and Davante Adams (hamstring).

Jordan Whittington Not Practicing

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (knee) was listed as a non-participant on Tuesday's estimated injury report, according to Sarah Barshop of ESPN. Whittington suffered a knee injury in the Week 18 regular-season finale against the Arizona Cardinals, and he was reportedly set for an MRI exam early this week. It suggests that the 25-year-old's knee injury could be serious enough to sideline him from the Wild-Card playoff matchup on Saturday versus the Carolina Panthers. The good news is that the Rams have veteran Pro Bowl wideout Davante Adams (hamstring) fully expected to return this weekend for the start of the postseason. Even when active, Whittington isn't a realistic fantasy WR. He had a total of just 18 catches during the regular season for 171 yards and no touchdowns.

Jordan Whittington to Undergo MRI Exam

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (knee) will undergo an MRI exam on Monday, according to head coach Sean McVay. Whittington injured his knee in Sunday's Week 18 win over the Arizona Cardinals in the regular-season finale and was unable to return. The 25-year-old pass-catcher was not targeted at all before getting injured, and he doesn't have more than one catch in a game since Nov. 23 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, when he caught all three of his targets for 17 yards. Even if Whittington's knee injury ends up being minor and he's able to play on Wild-Card weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, he won't be a realistic DFS play with Davante Adames (hamstring) expected to return to the lineup. In 17 games in 2025, Whittington caught just 18 passes for 171 yards and no touchdowns.

Jordan Whittington Won't Return Against Cardinals

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's Week 18 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. He exited in the first quarter and was initially listed as questionable to return before being downgraded to out. Whittington, who didn't command a target before his departure, suffered the injury while making a tackle on special teams. He was seen wearing a brace on his right knee, and he tried to test his knee on the sideline before walking to the locker room. The Rams are short-staffed at wide receiver with Davante Adams (hamstring) sidelined and Whittington's status in doubt. The 25-year-old's departure should create more offensive snaps for Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith, and Tutu Atwell behind superstar receiver Puka Nacua.

Jordan Whittington Questionable to Return in Week 18

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (knee) exited during the first quarter of Sunday's Week 18 contest against the Arizona Cardinals. He is officially listed as questionable to return. Jordan Whittington Buried on Rams Depth Chart

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington hasn't made an impact on offense this season, recording just 18 catches for 171 yards and zero touchdowns on 25 targets. Even with Davante Adams (hamstring) sidelined recently, Whittington hasn't seen an uptick in playing time, playing just 18.1% of the snaps over the past two games. The Rams have relied more on the duo of Konata Mumpfield and Xavier Smith in Adams' absence while also leaning more into three-tight-end packages. That's left little opportunity for Whittington, even though he played a near every-snap role (92.2%) in Week 6 when Puka Nacua was sidelined. With Adams likely out again in Week 18 versus the Cardinals, the Rams are likely to operate similarly to what they've shown in recent weeks. Even in deep leagues, Whittington shouldn't be considered as a fantasy option.

Jordan Whittington Next in Line for Usage Bump?

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington could earn more targets during Thursday's Week 16 contest against the Seattle Seahawks with Davante Adams (hamstring) not expected to play. Los Angeles has shown an inconsistent pecking order behind Adams and Puka Nacua this year, with players like Whittington, Xavier Smith, Tutu Atwell, and Konata Mumpfield all getting different opportunities to produce. With that said, Whittington is the early favorite to step up as the No. 2 receiver alongside Nacua this week. He had two games with a snap share of at least 80% before the Rams' Week 6 bye, and he also commanded four targets in the game that Nacua missed earlier in the year. His role has dwindled lately, and his usage fell all the way down to a 6% snap share last week (partly due to injury). However, he is still one of the more established and dependable receivers on the depth chart, and he should get the first crack at earning Adams' vacated targets. With that said, he'll be going up against a strong Seahawks defense that has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers in 2025. Between his non-guaranteed role and a challenging matchup, Whittington isn't a dependable fantasy option in most leagues for Week 16.

Jordan Whittington Could Benefit From Teammate's Injury on Short Week

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington (back) could be worth a look on the waiver wire this week in deeper fantasy football formats, with Davante Adams (hamstring) up in the air to play on a short week this Thursday night against the division-rival Seattle Seahawks. Whittington also found himself on the Week 16 injury report, though, and was listed as limited during the team's walkthrough practice on Monday. The 25-year-old played a season-low four offensive snaps in Sunday's win over the Detroit Lions, but that could have been due to his back injury. Whittington was targeted only once and failed to haul it in. He is probably a long shot for production this week against a tough Seattle defense, even if Adams is inactive, but he should be in on starting three-wide sets if he's on the field. Hurting Whittington's chances to make an impact is the fact that Tutu Atwell returned from IR last week.

Jordan Whittington Buried on Depth Chart Ahead of Tougher Matchup

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Jordan Whittington remains off the fantasy radar in his role behind Puka Nacua and Davante Adams. Whittington is nothing more than a fantasy handcuff, and he's not a reliable fantasy option for Sunday's Week 13 contest against the Carolina Panthers. He's coming off a game against the Buccaneers in which he tied his season-high with three receptions, and he added 17 yards on a 61% snap share. Evidently, even when Whittington is having one of his best games of the year, he's still seeing relatively modest target and snap share numbers. Plus, this week, he's facing off against a Panthers defense allowing the sixth-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers in 2025. Whittington can be left on waivers in all leagues. He ranks as the overall WR84 in RotoBaller's fantasy rankings for Week 13.
