Tyler Higbee, Rob Havenstein To Return In 2025

Los Angeles Rams veteran tight end Tyler Higbee and veteran right tackle Rob Havenstein will both be back with the team in 2025, according to head coach Sean McVay. There were questions as to whether the Rams would keep either player after coming off recent injuries and heading into the last year of their respective deals. Even though Havenstein is expected to be back, The Athletic's Jourdan Rodriguez expects the Rams to target a right tackle in the upcoming NFL draft. Higbee, 32, had surgery on his knee and shoulder last offseason that forced him to miss all but three of the team's regular-season games in 2024. In his three games, he caught eight of 12 targets for 66 yards and two touchdowns and added 12 catches on 15 targets for 112 yards and a TD in two playoff games. With receiver Cooper Kupp likely to be traded this offseason, Higbee could be a sleeper TE to target in fantasy this fall.

Tyler Higbee Caps Comeback Season With Huge Finale

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee suffered a catastrophic knee injury in last year's Wild Card game, but this year he had a triumphant return at the end of the season and finished the season with a big game against the Eagles. He hauled in a team-high seven catches while finishing second on the team with 10 targets. He finished with 54 receiving yards and a touchdown in the Rams' 28-22 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. Higbee had five catches for over 50 yards last week against the Vikings and scored two touchdowns in his three regular-season games. Higbee has one year remaining on his current deal and will look to be a more regular contributor all season next year. From what he showed once he came back, the 32-year-old has the potential to be a top-10 TE if he remains in the same role in 2025.

Tyler Higbee Off The Injury Report

According to Sarah Barshop of ESPN, Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) is off the injury report and good to go for Sunday's playoff game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Higbee exited Monday's wild-card game against the Minnesota Vikings early. Before exiting, Higbee caught all five of his targets for 58 yards. He opened the week as a limited participant and was able to upgrade to a full participant during Friday's session. The 32-year-old made his season debut during Week 16 due to a torn ACL and MCL. Over his first four games, Higbee has scored twice and averaged 31 yards per game. He should be viewed as a low-end option in DFS formats this weekend, as the Eagles have allowed the second-fewest PPR points to opposing tight ends this season.

Rams Expect Tyler Higbee To Play On Sunday

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said he expects tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) to play versus the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in a Divisional Round clash. Higbee was limited in the team's first practice of the week on Wednesday after leaving the wild-card win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday night with a chest injury that was serious enough to send him to the hospital. However, the 32-year-old was quickly discharged, and the Rams are optimistic that Higbee won't miss the Divisional Round tilt this Sunday against the Eagles in Philadelphia. If he can return to a full practice by Friday, he could even be removed from the final injury report for the weekend. Before hurting his chest on Monday, Higbee was being peppered with targets and caught all five of them for a season-high 58 yards. He also have five catches on seven targets for 46 yards and a TD in Week 18. Coming off his injury, Higbee will be a risk/reward, low-cost TE for DFS lineups in the Divisional Round if he's active. UPDATE: Higbee was limited again on Thursday.

Tyler Higbee Limited Wednesday

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. Higbee's participation in practice this early in the week is excellent news for the Rams considering that the injury sent Higbee to the hospital after Monday night's game. Higbee has now played in four games this season after missing most of the regular season with a torn ACL. He is one of quarterback Matthew Stafford's favorite targets which was evidenced by his five receptions for 58 yards in Monday's victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Higbee was previously reported to be trending towards playing this weekend, but his practice participation further sheds a positive outlook on his status. The Rams face the daunting task of beating the Philadelphia Eagles in the Divisional Round this weekend. Should he ultimately play, Higbee will be a huge offensive piece for the Rams against an excellent Eagles defense.

Rams Expect Tyler Higbee To Play Against Eagles

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) exited the NFC Wild Card game against the Minnesota Vikings early due to a chest injury. Head coach Sean McVay said the veteran was spitting up blood on Monday and was sent to the hospital. However, Higbee traveled home with the team and is expected to play in the NFC Divisional Round against the Philadelphia Eagles. The 32-year-old missed the team's first 14 regular season games due to a knee injury before coming back to haul in eight receptions for 66 yards and two scores in three games to close the season. On Monday, he caught all five of his targets for 58 yards before leaving the game in the first half. Los Angeles is clearly looking to get him involved in the offense, but the Eagles allowed the second-fewest fantasy points per game to tight ends in 2024, meaning he's drawing a tough matchup for DFS or fantasy football purposes.

Tyler Higbee In Stable Condition At Hospital, Expected To Be OK

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) was taken to the hospital on Monday night. He is in stable condition and is expected to be okay, according to head coach Sean McVay. Higbee exited the Rams' Wild Card contest against the Minnesota Vikings during the first half, but he still managed to accumulate five receptions for 58 yards. He finished as the Rams' receiving leader and was trending toward delivering a historic performance before his departure. Moving forward, we will await updates from the Rams regarding his status and eventual release from the hospital. It's too early to speculate on his status for the Divisional Round against the Philadelphia Eagles, but given the severity of his injury, he likely faces an uphill battle to play. If Higbee can't suit up, Colby Parkinson would be the Rams' primary tight end with Davis Allen filling a complementary role.

Tyler Higbee Downgraded To Out

Per Adam Grosbard of the team, Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) has officially been ruled out for Monday's Wild Card matchup with the Minnesota Vikings. Higbee exited the game early in the second quarter and was initially ruled doubtful about returning. However, he was not well enough to do so after halftime. The former fourth-round pick looked to be on his way to a massive day -- nabbing all five of his targets for 58 yards through the first quarter and change. At the time he was forced from the contest, the 32-year-old led the team in receptions and yards while tying Puka Nacua for the team lead in targets.

Tyler Higbee Doubtful To Return Vs. Vikings

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (chest) exited Monday night's matchup with the Minnesota Vikings and is doubtful to return. The 32-year-old was busy to start this one, reeling in all five of his targets for 58 yards through the first quarter and change. It's unfortunate news for the veteran, who just returned from a lengthy absence due to a knee injury in Week 16. For now, teammate Colby Parkinson will work as the team's primary tight end, with Hunter Long and Davis Allen working in behind him.

Tyler Higbee Ready For Larger Role

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee sustained a catastrophic knee injury last year in the Wild Card round against the Lions, but the veteran has worked his way back and is ready to contribute to the passing game as the Rams return to the same round on Monday Night Football against the Vikings. Higbee missed the first 14 games of the season but played in each of the last three. In his return, he scored a memorable touchdown to seal the team's Week 15 win against the Jets. That was his only catch of the week, and he added just one more catch in Week 16 in a limited role once again. While the rest of the Rams' starters rested in Week 18, Higbee continued his comeback by playing 27 snaps (41%) against the Seahawks. He hauled in five of his seven targets for 46 yards and a touchdown from Jimmy Garoppolo, but he'll be back to working with Matthew Stafford this week. He's a nice sleeper option this week since he has such a good rapport with Stafford, and the Vikings have been a neutral matchup for tight ends this season, ranking 13th against the position.
