Tyler Higbee Should Be A TE1 In Week 1

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee went on a tear at the end of last season, and he'll be looking to continue that to start this season. Safety is the biggest weakness on the entire Dallas Cowboys roster, and Higbee can easily take advantage of that. He gives quarterback Jared Goff a safe option on the underneath routes, and he can get up the seam to cause some real damage. Outside of the top five or six tight ends, things can get real unpredictable. For Higbee, if he scores a touchdown, he should have a few catches that give him potential for a big Week 1.

Tyler Higbee Looking To Build On Strong Finish To 2019

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee was a difference-maker in fantasy down the stretch last year. He caught at least seven passes in each of his final five games, tallying over 100 receiving yards in four of the five games. This year, he figures to play a prominent role in the offense once again, but with fellow tight end Gerald Everett back in the picture, Higbee could see his target share go down, at least a little. Higbee's breakout last year came after an injury to Everett, who opened the year as the team's primary tight end. Still, Everett is entering his fourth NFL season this year and has never shown the consistent production Higbee displayed late last year. Higbee is a great TE1 to target in drafts after the top tier of tight ends is off the board.

Tyler Higbee Expecting Big Workload For Gerald Everett

Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee was a fantasy gem down the stretch last season, compiling four straight games of at least nine catches and 100 yards at one point in December. This year, he's being drafted as about the eighth tight end off the board. On Friday, Higbee told reporters that he expects fellow tight end Gerald Everett to get plenty of opportunities to make plays this season. While it's good to see Higbee's confidence in his teammate, it's bad news for Higbee's fantasy upside. Higbee's impressive run late last year all came while Everett was sidelined with a knee injury. Higbee and Everett had been sharing tight end pass-catching duties about 50/50 before then. If the two split tight end targets once again, it will make it hard to trust either of them with any confidence.
