Davante Adams News
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams caught five-of nine targets for 73 receiving yards in the team's 31-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. He left the game briefly in the fourth quarter after a hard hit, but returned soon after. Adams showed chemistry with QB Jarrett Stidham in their two games together to end the season, with 20 targets and 12 catches over that span. The 30-year-old will likely finish the season as the third-highest-scoring WR for fantasy, scoring 14 TDs and crossing 1,500 receiving yards for the second time in two years. Adams will be a top-tier WR in fantasy drafts in 2023.
Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams enters Week 18 as the WR3 in fantasy football (half-PPR). Adams is coming off of a thrilling performance in the Raiders' 37-34 overtime loss to the 49ers last week in which he caught seven of 11 targets for 153 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Despite a few down weeks due to a sputtering offense, Adams has delivered for fantasy managers this year, ranking as the WR3 or better six times and leading all wide receivers with 14 TDs in 2022. Adams gets a middling matchup with the Chiefs on Saturday, the 13th-best matchup for opposing fantasy RBs this year. He is expected to play despite showing up on the injury report earlier in the week with an illness. Adams is a top-tier start at WR in Week 18, and a good bet to return value in Saturday slate DFS.
With Derek Carr seemingly out the door with the Las Vegas Raiders franchise for next year, it's looking like the team will be in the market for a new quarterback in 2023. In an appearance with the media on Wednesday, star wide receiver Davante Adams addressed this by saying he will likely stick around for next season, even with Carr moving on from the team. In addition, he mentioned that he'd like to provide input on the Raiders' quarterback situation for next season. Regarding his suggestions, Adams said, "They know whether it's about the scheme or if it's about personnel, whatever it is, there's a rhyme to the reason." With Adams being under contract until 2027, the Raiders certainly have some work to do in the offseason to address the quarterback position.
