Jadarian Price a Full-Go for Majority of Monday's Reps

Seattle Seahawks rookie first-round running back Jadarian Price (lower body) was back at training camp practice on Monday and took most of the reps, according to Seahawks reporter Brian Nemhauser. It was a non-contact session for the Seahawks on Monday, but it is still progress for the 22-year-old, who should be fully ready for the start of the 2026 regular season in early September. After being rested in the preseason opener on Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys, Price could be cleared to get some work this Sunday in the second preseason contest against the Tennessee Titans. Zach Charbonnet (knee) is not going to be ready for the start of the regular season, which puts Price in position to be a key contributor in Seattle's backfield right away. George Holani will also have a role, but Price's explosiveness and big-play ability should make him the more attractive short- and long-term fantasy option at the RB position. It might be tough for Price to carve out a big pass-catching role, but with enough early down work, he should be a nice low-end RB2/high-end RB3/flex target in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Jadarian Price "On the Mend," Won't Play on Saturday

Seattle Seahawks rookie first-round running back Jadarian Price (lower body) will not play in the team's preseason opener on Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Curtis Crabtree of FOX 13 Seattle. "He's on the mend," head coach Mike Macdonald said. Price has been slowly returned to training camp practice after dealing with lower-body soreness in the last week. With Zach Charbonnet (knee) already not expected to be ready for Week 1 of the 2026 season, the Seahawks are understandably playing it safe with their new first-round investment in the backfield. Price was listed as the RB2 behind George Holani on the first unofficial depth chart of the preseason, but if healthy, he's expected to have a significant role early in his rookie season as Charbonnet continues to rehab. He has a bright NFL future long-term, but fantasy managers need to temper expectations early on in what is shaping up to be a committee backfield, making Price an RB3/flex target in upcoming drafts, at best.

Jadarian Price Returns to Team Drills on Wednesday

Seattle Seahawks rookie first-round running back Jadarian Price (lower body) returned to team drills in training camp practice on Wednesday for the first time in five practices, according to Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. It should be noted that Wednesday was a walkthrough session as the team gets ready to face off against the Dallas Cowboys in their preseason opener this Saturday. The 22-year-old is in line for a key role immediately in his first year in the NFL in Seattle as the Seahawks look to replace Kenneth Walker. Along with Price, George Holani and Emanuel Wilson will be involved until Zach Charbonnet (knee) returns from a torn ACL that he suffered last postseason. While Price will certainly have a role early on, fantasy managers will want to be careful not to overvalue the Notre Dame product in a backfield that could change significantly once Charbonnet returns. Price has a wide-open opportunity to become the favorite for early-down work in Seattle, but he likely won't see enough weekly work to be much more than a low-end RB2/high-end RB3/flex.

Jadarian Price Back in Pads on Tuesday

Seattle Seahawks rookie first-round running back Jadarian Price (lower body) was back in pads at training camp practice on Tuesday, according to Seahawks reporter Corbin K. Smith. Price missed practice over the weekend with what was deemed a minor lower-body injury, and now he's back in the fold. Despite the 22-year-old's return to the practice field, we would not be surprised if he's held out of the team's preseason opener this Saturday against the Dallas Cowboys. George Holani was listed as Seattle's RB1 on their first unofficial depth chart, but Price is expected to have a big role in the Seahawks' backfield in his first year in the NFL, at least until Zach Charbonnet (knee) can return from a torn ACL that he suffered last postseason. The Notre Dame product must also contend with Emanuel Wilson, but the rookie has plenty of explosiveness and big-play ability to quickly become the most exciting option in the team's backfield while Charbonnet is sidelined. Passing-game work probably won't be there, though, which limits Price's fantasy price to more of a low-end RB2/high-end RB3/flex.

Jadarian Price Will Be Hard to Keep Off the Field

Seattle Seahawks running back Jadarian Price (lower body) could be pressing for a bigger role in the team's backfield rotation right away. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Price will be hard to keep off the field, and that coach Mike Macdonald has been impressed with his attention to detail and coachability. Unfortunately, Price has been dealing with a lower body injury that has kept him out of practice the last few days without a clear timeframe for his return. When he is back, he will likely mix in with veterans George Holani and Emanuel Wilson while Zach Charbonnet recovers from his torn ACL. With the defending champs looking to replace the production of both Charbonnet and free agent Kenneth Walker in the backfield, Price has a very high ceiling if he can make some noise in the preseason. He's currently the No. 23 RB in RotoBaller's rankings, which indicates just how high his upside is in Seattle.

Jadarian Price Without Timetable for Return

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price (lower body) missed his third straight practice on Monday, and his return is not imminent. Head coach Mike MacDonald said the team is in no rush to get him back on the field before the preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys. While it's unclear what injury he's currently dealing with, Price is in no rush as he ramps up for Week 1 in September. With Zach Charbonnet (knee) on the PUP list, the first-round pick has a chance to start early in the season. While we will have to understand what injury he's dealing with, Price should be a starting option in fantasy formats in 2026.

Jadarian Price's Injury is Not Considered Serious

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price (lower body) missed practice for the second straight day on Saturday with a lower-body injury. According to Jeremy Fowler, the injury is not considered serious, and Price should return to practice in a few days. This is a huge relief for Seahawks fans who are already without Zach Charbonnet (knee) right now. Price is expected to take over the lead backfield duties until Charbonnet is healthy enough to play. The Seahawks selected Price in the first round of this year's draft. He has a chance to be an immediate impact player in Seattle, with the Seahawks lacking viable options in the running game. Fantasy managers should not expect this leg soreness to keep Price sidelined for too much longer.

Jadarian Price Misses Friday's Practice With Lower-Body Soreness

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price (lower body) missed Friday's training camp practice with "lower-body soreness," according to Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune. We should find out more on the severity of Price's injury, but it doesn't sound all that serious. But if this injury were to linger for the first-rounder out of Notre Dame, both George Holani and Emanuel Wilson would become more interesting in fantasy football while the Seahawks wait for Zach Charbonnet (knee) to recover from his ACL tear last postseason. Early in training camp, Price has been behind Holani, but he has seen reps with the first-team offense and figures to be involved early on in his rookie season with Charbonnet sidelined. The 22-year-old should be the Seahawks' most attractive fantasy RB until Charbonnet returns, and managers should consider him a low-end RB2/high-end RB3/flex target with plenty of long-term upside. If fully healthy, Price should earn most of Seattle's backfield touches, but when Charbonnet returns, it could be a different story.

Jadarian Price Working Toward Early-Down Role

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price has been splitting first-team work with George Holani, but their roles are starting to look different. Price is expected to handle the regular early-down work, while Holani specializes on third downs and in two-minute situations. Emanuel Wilson has generally worked with the second unit. That is a useful opening for Price with Zach Charbonnet still on the PUP list following ACL surgery. Seattle selected the 5-foot-11, 209-pound back 32nd overall after he rushed 113 times for 674 yards and 11 touchdowns at Notre Dame last season. Price's first-round investment and current usage put him in line for meaningful carries if this arrangement holds. Holani's passing-down role could make Price more dependent on rushing volume and scoring chances, and Charbonnet's recovery remains an important unknown. Still, Price has the clearest path to early-down fantasy value among Seattle's healthy backs right now.

Jadarian Price Operates as RB1 During First Full Scrimmage

Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jadarian Price was operating as the top back during the team's first full scrimmage on Thursday. The expectation is that Price is going to split the first-team reps with George Holani during training camp. Price has more upside and carries higher expectations after being taken 32nd overall by the Seahawks during this year's draft. Zach Charbonnet (knee) is still working his way back from an ACL injury he suffered in January. With a solid performance in camp, Price could be the RB1 heading into Week 1. Rotoballer currently has Price ranked as the RB26 in redraft formats. His status could rise here shortly if he continues getting RB1 reps.
