Bengals
Seattle Seahawks left tackle Charles Cross (toe) got in another full practice on Friday and will play in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals. The second-year tackle sprained his toe in Week 1 and missed the next three games as a result. Seattle had a bye in Week 5 and the extra time off proved to be enough for Cross to get back on the field for Week 6. Cross will be tasked with protecting quarterback Geno Smith against a pesky Bengals defense on Sunday. His return should give all relevant Seattle skill players a boost.

Charles Cross Back At Practice Again Wednesday
Seattle Seahawks left tackle Charles Cross (toe), who hasn't played since spraining his toe in the season opener in Week 1, will practice again on Wednesday. The Seahawks are also getting right guard Phil Haynes (calf) back at practice, although left guard Damien Lewis (ankle) isn't practicing. Haynes and Lewis were injured in Week 4 against the New York Giants before last week's bye. Cross has a chance at returning in the Week 6 contest this Sunday on the road in Cincinnati against the Bengals. The 22-year-old's return would be a big boost to the Seahawks entire offense against a feisty Bengals defense.

Seahawks Agree With First-Rounder Charles Cross
The Seattle Seahawks and first-round offensive tackle Charles Cross agreed on a four-year, fully guaranteed $21.384 million deal on Wednesday. Cross becomes the highest-ever player drafted without an agent. His deal includes a signing bonus of $12.73 million and a fifth-year option. Because he played in an Air Raid system at Mississippi State in college, Cross is considered the best pure pass-blocking tackle in this year's class and has the tools to improve his run-blocking in Seattle's system. The 21-year-old should compete for the starting left tackle job in his rookie season, protecting either quarterback Geno Smith or Drew Lock.

Charles Cross Goes To Seattle At No. 9
The Seattle Seahawks selected Mississippi State offensive tackle Charles Cross with the No. 9 overall pick of the 2022 NFL draft on Thursday night. Cross is the best pure pass-blocker in this year's class, and he step in right away for the Seahawks as their starting left tackle. It remains to be seen who will be starting under center for the Seahawks after they traded Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos this offseason -- it could be Drew Lock, Geno Smith or another QB to be determined -- but their blind side will be well-protected. Seattle really needed offensive line help, and the extremely athletic Cross can hold up against bigger and powerful defensive linemen.
