Emanuel Wilson Dealing with Hamstring Injury

Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson (hamstring) did not play in the team's preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Saturday. His absence was likely caused by a hamstring injury that he suffered in a scrimmage during practice on Tuesday. The good news is that head coach Mike Macdonald said Wilson's injury "is a short-term thing," so we should see him back on the field relatively soon. Prior to the hamstring ailment, the 27-year-old had been running with the first-team offense. Zach Charbonnet (knee) continues to recover from an ACL tear, so Wilson projects to start at running back when the Seahawks take the field in Week 1 of the regular season against the New England Patriots. As long as Charbonnet is sidelined, Wilson ranks as a low-end RB2 or high-end RB3 in fantasy football.

Emanuel Wilson Still Fighting for Early-Season Touches

Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson had a real chance to climb the depth chart this summer, especially with Zach Charbonnet still rehabbing a torn ACL. So far, it hasn't happened. Seattle's first unofficial depth chart lists George Holani first, first-round rookie Jadarian Price second and Wilson third. Price recently missed time with lower-body soreness, but Mike Macdonald called it minor and said he should be back within days. Wilson at least has proof he can handle a bigger workload. He ran 125 times for 496 yards and three touchdowns for Green Bay last season, and when Josh Jacobs sat against Minnesota, Wilson turned 28 carries into 107 yards and two scores. At 5-foot-10, 226 pounds, he has the build for early-down work. The issue is getting enough of it. Seattle spent the 32nd pick on Price, Holani has stayed ahead of Wilson throughout the offseason, and Charbonnet will eventually return. Wilson is still worth watching if injuries hit, but standard redraft managers can look elsewhere for now.

Emanuel Wilson Faces an Uphill Climb for Redraft Value

Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson looked like an interesting late-round name when he signed in March. That case has weakened. He ran 125 times for 496 yards and three touchdowns in Green Bay last season and proved he could handle a heavier day when Josh Jacobs was out, taking 28 carries for 107 yards and two scores against Minnesota. At 5-foot-10 and 226 pounds, Wilson gives Seattle a bigger option in the backfield. The problem is that he has not been treated like the favorite. George Holani was usually the first back through the rotation during the offseason program, first-round rookie Jadarian Price followed, and Wilson worked third. Price will receive every opportunity after Seattle selected him 32nd overall, and Zach Charbonnet will eventually return from the torn ACL he suffered in January. Wilson could still force his way into early-season touches, especially if he runs well during the preseason, but right now he is fighting for a piece of the committee rather than the lead job. RotoBaller's latest PPR rankings have him at RB57. That range is not unreasonable, though managers can leave him on the board outside of deep drafts. He is a watch-list player, not a redraft sleeper.

Emanuel Wilson Not the Seahawks Running Back to Target in 2026 Redraft Leagues

After three seasons with the Green Bay Packers, running back Emanuel Wilson signed a one-year, $1.6 million deal with the Seattle Seahawks. At the time, the team had just lost Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III through free agency, and with Zach Charbonnet tearing his ACL in a January playoff game, the door was temporarily open for Wilson to see a meaningful role after averaging 4.5 career yards per carry, primarily through change-of-pace work and the occasional spot start. Since then, the Seahawks spent their first-round pick on Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price, while Charbonnet was spotted doing rehabilitation work on a side field during the final practice of mandatory minicamp in June. With George Holani also still on the roster, even a best-case scenario for Wilson involves a muddled timeshare with low prospects of hitting for fantasy, but with Price reportedly taking on a larger role throughout those non-padded sessions, a more likely scenario would see the rookie handling lead back responsibilities early in the year. At RotoBaller's RB57, Wilson is not a player who needs to be targeted in 2026 redraft leagues.

Emanuel Wilson May Be Undervalued by Current Redraft ADP

After spending the first three years of his NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, running back Emanuel Wilson is entering his first season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2026. Wilson was a productive player while mostly playing a backup role in Green Bay in 2025, recording 595 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns on 140 touches across 17 games. Entering 2026, the Seahawks running back room is in a state of flux after losing Kenneth Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency. The team used its first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft on running back Jadarian Price, and steady veteran Zach Charbonnet (knee) will be part of the backfield mix once he fully recovers from his torn ACL. However, Charbonnet may miss the start of the regular season, and Price may not be ready to take on a RB1 workload right away as a rookie. As the RB62 by average draft position in redraft leagues, Wilson is a low-cost flier for fantasy managers who could be a significant piece of his team's offense in the early portion of 2026.

Emanuel Wilson's Dynasty Outlook Clouded by Depth Chart Uncertainty in Seattle

After spending the first three seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers, running back Emanuel Wilson signed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks for the 2026 season in March. The 27-year-old was productive in a backup role behind Josh Jacobs in Green Bay, recording 1,145 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns on 254 touches across 34 games over the past two seasons. With Seahawks RB1 Zach Charbonnet (knee) expected to miss the start of the 2026 regular season while recovering from the torn ACL he suffered in mid-January, Wilson could open the year as Seattle's lead rusher. However, the Seahawks also added Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price with the 32nd overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, likely capping Wilson's production upside. Wilson carries some short-term production upside, but he likely still profiles long-term as a handcuff running back option for dynasty managers.

Can Emanuel Wilson Carve Out a Consistent Role in Seattle?

Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson is entering his first season with the team in 2026 after spending the first three years of his career with the Green Bay Packers. Wilson has been productive in a backup role behind star Packers back Josh Jacobs, recording 1,145 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns over the past two seasons combined. At the time he signed with Seattle in free agency, Wilson looked to have a chance to lead the team's backfield while incumbent back Zach Charbonnet (knee) worked his way back from a torn ACL. While Wilson could still play a significant role in Seattle early on in 2026, his playing time looks a lot less certain following the Seahawks' selection of running back Jadarian Price with the 32nd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Once Charbonnet returns from injury, Wilson could easily fall out of the backfield mix in Seattle altogether. RotoBaller ranks Wilson as the 67th-best running back for dynasty formats following the NFL Draft.

Emanuel Wilson's Dynasty Value Fading After Seahawks' Draft Addition

After spending the first three seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers, running back Emanuel Wilson landed a one-year deal with the Seattle Seahawks earlier this offseason. Wilson flashed some upside in a backup role behind star back Josh Jacobs in Green Bay, recording 1,145 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns on 254 touches over the past two seasons. With Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet (knee) working his way back from the torn ACL that ended his 2025 season in January, Wilson looked to have a golden opportunity to begin 2026. However, Seattle added Notre Dame running back Jadarian Price with its first-round pick in the 2026 Draft. As a result, Wilson now looks to be limited to the RB3 role with the Seahawks once Charbonnet makes it back from injury. Wilson might still have some deep-league appeal as a handcuff option, but his dynasty value has taken a big hit after Seattle's addition of Price.

Emanuel Wilson a Low-Risk Trade Target in Dynasty Leagues?

Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson represents an intriguing buy-low candidate in offseason dynasty fantasy football trades. After three years in Green Bay, Wilson jumped ship and signed with the Seahawks this offseason. He'll join a Super Bowl-winning offense that had a glaring hole at running back with Kenneth Walker III departing in free agency and Zach Charbonnet (knee) expected to miss a portion of the 2026 season. The lead-back role is anyone's to win. While we can't rule out another signing or draft selection at the running back position, as it stands, Wilson seems to be the frontrunner for the No. 1 running back role. He has been a top-50 fantasy running back in the past two seasons, and he showed in 2025 that he was capable of stepping into a larger role when the usual starting running back goes down. Wilson may eventually relinquish the lead-back role to Charbonnet by the middle of next season, but even then, he'll continue to be a top handcuff option. The 26-year-old is currently quite affordable in dynasty leagues and is an intriguing trade target given that he should open the 2026 season as a high-end RB3 or low-end RB2 in fantasy football.

Emanuel Wilson to Carry Early-Season Upside in Weak Backfield?

Seattle Seahawks running back Emanuel Wilson landed in a more favorable spot this offseason, and now, he finds himself trending up in fantasy football. Wilson spent three years as a depth option in Green Bay before signing with the Seahawks last week. The former undrafted free agent posted at least 550 scrimmage yards in each of the last two seasons, offering the Packers a reliable backup to Josh Jacobs. Wilson ended up making two starts last year, including an impressive Week 12 performance in which he posted 28 carries, 107 rushing yards, two catches, 18 receiving yards, and a pair of touchdowns. Seattle lost Kenneth Walker III to the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency, and Wilson is the only significant backfield addition the Seahawks have made since then. The move pairs Wilson with Zach Charbonnet (knee), who could be the Seahawks' eventual starter but will first have to clear a major injury hurdle. Charbonnet is working his way back from a torn ACL that he suffered in the playoffs, so he might not be ready for Week 1 next season. Even if he does play, he likely won't be at 100%. At this point, it seems likely that Wilson -- not Charbonnet -- will take the Seahawks' first snap at running back in 2026, giving him plenty of early-season upside. As the Seahawks' potential lead back, Wilson can be an RB2 in fantasy football early next year, and similarly, he's a long-term RB3/flex with RB2 upside in dynasty formats. Managers should consider sending out trade offers for Wilson, since he's still currently affordable in dynasty leagues. He's an especially appealing option for Charbonnet's managers who want his handcuff.
