Tory Horton to Miss a Period of Time

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton (undisclosed) is going to be sidelined for a period of time, according to Field Gulls. Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said Horton is dealing with an undisclosed ailing issue, but he didn't want to go into detail. There is speculation that it's a setback from his shin injury from last season, but nothing has been confirmed. The expectation is that Horton will be healthy for Week 1, but there isn't a timetable for his return yet. Horton is more of a dynasty stash and isn't someone that needs to be rostered in 12-team redrafts to begin the season.

Tory Horton Doesn't Practice Monday, Dealing with a "Few Things"

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton (undisclosed) did not participate in practice on Monday, according to Corbin Smith of Emerald City Spectrum. Head coach Mike Macdonald didn't provide any specifics on his injury, other than saying that Horton is "dealing with a few things." The 23-year-old had 13 catches across eight games as a rookie last year, and he found the end zone at an absurd rate, scoring five touchdowns. As it stands, he enters the 2026 season as the Seahawks' No. 3 receiver behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and Rashid Shaheed. He could end up getting on the fantasy radar if he puts together a strong start to the regular season, but that would first require him to recover from his current injury situation. He now ranks as RotoBaller's WR103 in redraft leagues and WR81 in dynasty leagues.

Tory Horton Looks Fast and Ready for Second Season

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton looks "fast and ready" for his second NFL season. Horton's efficient rookie season was cut short by a shin stress fracture that required surgery. Now healthy and fully participating in camp, former wideout Bryan Walters says, "I've been loving watching Tory Horton back and healthy. He looks fast again out there. He looks like he's ready to pick up where he left off." Horton is likely to be a rotational player behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Rashid Shaheed, and veteran Cooper Kupp. While he has immense upside if given the opportunity, he is likely to be non-fantasy-relevant in 2026.

Tory Horton Healthy After Cracking Tibia as a Rookie

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton avoided the PUP list to begin training camp and has participated fully through the opening practices of summer after his rookie season was cut short by a cracked tibia. Horton spoke with a group of reporters on Friday, and ESPN's Brady Henderson wrote about the road to recovery that has brought him to this point without restriction. Horton told the assembled media, "It's a blessing to be back on the field... Just trying to take in every moment because just like last year, you never know when it could be cut short." Horton began experiencing lower leg discomfort around Week 3 of his rookie season, but continued to play through the pain until further testing revealed a crack in his tibia that landed him on injured reserve. With the Seahawks adding Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline and signing him to a three-year deal this offseason, the team has the ability to flood the field with overwhelming speed to complement Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and a healthy Horton will look to find more consistent production after scoring five touchdowns across his four most productive games in 2025, while being held to a single 10-yard reception across four others.

Tory Horton Avoids PUP List

After showing promising signs in the early stages of his rookie year, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton suffered a season-ending shin injury in Week 9, but he carries no injury designation into his second season, and he was on the field for the Seahawks' first practice of training camp. With a penchant for making timely big plays, Horton scored touchdowns on five of his 13 receptions in 2025, reaching double-digit fantasy points in four of his eight games played. Unfortunately, across the remaining four games, he totaled only one catch for ten yards, making him an untrustworthy boom-or-bust play outside of best ball formats. Following Horton's injury, Seattle traded for Rashid Shaheed, and although the 27-year-old speedster caught only 15 passes across his nine regular season games, he showed up as a difference-making special teams player during the Seahawks' championship run, and with the team locking him up on a three-year, $51 million contract, there are expectations that he'll play a larger offensive role after a full training camp in Renton. The battle for outside reps opposite Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba will be one to watch throughout camp, but by avoiding the physically unable to perform list, Horton is well positioned to grow into a more consistent fantasy contributor, and he is worth a look in the closing rounds of 2026 drafts.

Tory Horton Still Carries Deep Dynasty Appeal After Rookie Flashes

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton made the most of a tiny rookie sample before a shin injury ended his season. He caught only 13 passes in eight games, but five went for touchdowns, and he added a 95-yard punt-return score. Seattle had moved him into the No. 3 receiver role before the injury, so the flashes were not limited to special teams. The concern is what awaits him now. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and Rashid Shaheed are expected to handle the largest roles, and Horton did not participate in on-field offseason work while rehabbing. The Seahawks still expect him back for training camp, but he may need time before he is ready for a full workload. Horton has the speed to earn selective deep targets and manufactured touches once healthy. That is enough to keep him rostered in deeper dynasty leagues, especially at 23. Redraft managers can wait until he is practicing and pushing for regular routes. The touchdown rate will come down, but the big-play ability gives him a path to matter again.

Tory Horton Still Waiting on a Clear Role in Seattle

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton is still interesting enough to hold in deeper dynasty leagues, but he needs more than last year's touchdown burst to become a real redraft target. Horton caught only 13 passes for 161 yards in eight games as a rookie, though five of those catches went for touchdowns, and he added a 95-yard punt-return score before a shin injury sent him to injured reserve. That kind of splash keeps him from being forgotten, especially with a full training-camp return expected. The problem is the receiving role. Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cooper Kupp, and Rashid Shaheed are the names on Seattle's official depth chart, and Shaheed is also listed first on both return spots. RotoBaller has Horton buried outside the top 260 overall and around WR107, with no listed ADP, so the market is not asking managers to pay much. He is fine as a dynasty bench hold, but redraft managers can wait until camp reports show an actual offensive role.

Tory Horton an Intriguing Dynasty Stash with a Path to Fantasy Relevance

Prior to suffering a shin injury that ultimately landed him on injured reserve and required offseason surgery, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton was on a double-digit touchdown pace, aided by two scores in the final contest of his rookie season. Unable to participate in organized team activities or minicamp practices, Horton is expected back early, if not at the start of training camp. While in his absence, the Seahawks traded for and then locked up a similar downfield threat in Rashid Shaheed, there is still enough to be excited about to keep Horton worthy of an end-of-bench stash in dynasty leagues. Cooper Kupp is now 33 years old and showing serious signs of decline, and with Shaheed averaging only 1.5 receptions across his 12 regular and postseason games with Seattle, the depth chart behind Offensive Player of the Year Jaxon Smith-Njigba is not insurmountable. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak is gone, but there's an expectation that Brian Fleury will adopt many of the play-action principles that allowed Sam Darnold to succeed, providing fantasy-friendly opportunities for a player like Horton who can routinely get behind defenses. Only 23 years old, Horton is RotoBaller's dynasty WR81, but with a few things breaking his way, he has a perceivable path to fantasy viability as early as 2026.

Tory Horton Could Do Some Stuff "Toward the End of Spring"

Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said that second-year wide receiver Tory Horton (shin, groin) got some good news that should allow him to accelerate his process for getting back on the field, according to John Boyle of the team's official website. Macdonald said there's "a chance he can do some stuff toward the end of spring." Horton, who was selected in the fifth round last year out of Colorado State, didn't play beyond Week 9 due to shin and groin injuries. When he was on the field, though, he made plenty of noise, catching 13 of his 22 targets for 161 yards (12.4 yards per reception) and five touchdowns in eight games played (three starts). Additionally, Horton was an asset on special teams, which will continue to make him an asset for the defending Super Bowl champions going into his sophomore campaign. He's still an interesting dynasty/keeper hold for his big-play prowess, but the return of Rashid Shaheed for the 2026 season has put a damper on his 2026 fantasy value as a depth piece for Seattle. RotoBaller has him ranked outside the top-100 wideouts for the upcoming campaign.

Tory Horton's Dynasty Stock on the Decline Despite Big-Play Ability

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tory Horton (shin, groin) showed plenty of big-play ability and had a nose for the end zone in his first year in the NFL in 2025, catching 13 of his 22 targets for 161 yards and five touchdowns, but the 23-year-old played in only eight games (three starts) due to shin and groin injuries. The former fifth-round pick (166th overall) out of Colorado State still isn't 100% healthy during spring workouts as he heads into his sophomore campaign, although he's expected to be ready for training camp at the end of July. Horton possesses good speed (4.41-second 40-yard dash) and above-average route-running skills, but with Rashid Shaheed sticking around as the Seahawks look to defend their Super Bowl championship in 2026, Horton is unlikely to see much volume in an offense that lost coordinator Klint Kubiak. Although veteran Cooper Kupp's prime is well behind him, both he and Jake Bobo will remain involved in some capacity as well. Horton could be a decent buy-low dynasty candidate, but his injury-riddled rookie campaign has his long-term stock on the decline. RotoBaller has him ranked as the No. 81 fantasy WR.
