Ricky White III Fantasy Stats

The Seattle Seahawks released seventh-round rookie wide receiver Ricky White III from their active roster, but White has re-signed with the team on a practice-squad contract. The 23-year-old played one year in college at Michigan State before transferring to UNLV, where he recorded 218 catches for 3,336 yards and 24 touchdowns across three seasons. White struggled to make much of an impact in preseason play for Seattle, hauling in three passes for 40 yards in three exhibition games. The Seahawks don't have a ton of proven depth in their receiver room behind Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Cooper Kupp. White could conceivably work his way onto the active roster at some point in 2025, but he remains a long way off from fantasy relevance.

After trading away veteran wide receiver D.K. Metcalf and letting Tyler Lockett walk in free agency, the Seattle Seahawks spent Day 3 draft picks on rookie receivers Tory Horton and Ricky White III. While Horton has all but assured himself of a meaningful spot on the team, White has had an uneventful summer, and he is not projected to make the team's initial 53-man roster. After garnering steam in the pre-draft process following a highly productive college career at Michigan State and UNLV, White fell to the 7th round. He appeared in all three of Seattle's preseason contests, making three catches for 40 yards and failing to register a stat on his 20 special teams snaps. If released, White is a potential practice squad candidate, either in Seattle or somewhere else, but those who drafted him early in dynasty leagues should feel free to move on if facing a crunch for bench spots.
