T.J. Hockenson News
Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson will wrap up his season this Sunday against a Vikings Defense that is allowing the 14th fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Hockenson has been a solid presence in a up-and-down offense, posting 64 receptions for 698 yards and six touchdowns. The Vikings have allowed only five touchdowns to tight ends all season but Hockenson posted five receptions for 39 yards with one touchdown against them in Week 9. The Lions offense is limping into this game and Hockenson could see a healthy amount of targets. He most likely, however, will need a touchdown to pay off in DFS tournaments in Week 17.
Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson had only four catches for 23 yards in the Lions 47-7 loss to the Buccaneers in Week 16. Hockenson saw six targets in this embarrassing performance by the Lions offense, who used all three quarterbacks in the game after starter Matthew Stafford(leg) exited with an injury early in the game. The second-year tight end has enjoyed a promising season, but he has produced only 84 receiving yards over his last three games. The Lions quarterback situation will need to be monitored all week before making a fantasy decision on Hockenson for Week 17. The tight end will enter the final week of the season with 64 receptions for 698 yards and six touchdowns, but he'll be a shaky low-end TE1 if backup Chase Daniel is starting.
Detroit Lions tight end T.J. Hockenson will go up against a Buccaneers Defense that is allowing the 10th most fantasy points to opposing tight ends this season. Hockenson disappointed last week with only 18 receiving yards but for the season has 60 receptions for 675 yards with six touchdowns. Tampa Bay has allowed eight touchdowns to tight ends this season but the Lions are also currently dealing with injuries at quarterback and a COVID outbreak on the team. Despite the Lions dealing with plenty of turmoil and uncertainty, Hockenson can be expected to see a healthy amount of targets in Week 16 but may need a touchdown to justify his fantasy value.
