Justin Jefferson News
The Minnesota Vikings and All-Pro wide receiver Justin Jefferson have yet to begin any negotiations toward a new contract extension. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Jefferson and Minnesota are expected to have contract talks this offseason. The 23-year-old is entering the final year of his rookie deal. He had a fantastic season in 2022, catching 128 passes for 1,809 yards and eight touchdowns over 17 games. Both sides will look to begin discussions toward an extension during the offseason, where Jefferson will likely sign a deal making him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. Jefferson will be a consensus top-three overall pick in fantasy drafts in 2023.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson caught seven of his nine targets for 47 yards in the 31-24 loss to the New York Giants in the Wild Card round. Jefferson only caught one pass in the second half and was unable to find the end zone all game. Despite a down performance, Jefferson will be in contention to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2023 fantasy drafts. The 23-year-old led the league with 1,809 receiving yards and has posted at least 1,400 yards in each of his first three seasons as a pro. Kirk Cousins is under contract for at least one more season, so fantasy managers likely won't have to worry about an inferior quarterback tanking his value.
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson posted 128 receptions for 1,809 receiving yards and eight touchdowns in his third season in the NFL. Needless to say, he's an elite fantasy option and is a great pick to build a team around in DFS contests. Of course, he's going to be the most expensive player in single-game contests, but his upside of 35-plus fantasy points makes it difficult to fade him. In the Week 16 game against the New York Giants, Jefferson caught 12 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown. In the Wild Card rematch, he should find similar success. New York is just a neutral matchup for wideouts, so Jefferson is probably the chalk worth taking in the opening round of the NFL playoffs.

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a remarkable rookie season in 2020. After 88 receptions, 1,400 yards, and seven touchdowns, the pressure was one for him to improve. And improve, he did. While playing in all 17 games, Jefferson had 108 receptions for 1,616 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was the main target for quarterback Kirk Cousins and was able to keep the offense afloat during weeks when Adam Thielen missed games due to injury. Coming into year three, but under a new head...
