Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dylan DeMelo is nursing a lower-body injury and won't return to action until after the All-Star break. He missed Saturday's 4-0 loss to Philadelphia and won't play Monday against St. Louis either. The 29-year-old doesn't really stand out on the Winnipeg blue line, but DeMelo has been quietly enjoying a solid campaign on the first defensive pairing, having amassed 16 points in 46 games with 50 shots on the net, 83 hits and 60 blocks. Dylan Samberg entered the lineup in DeMelo's place on Saturday.

Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dylan DeMelo will join Josh Morrissey on the top pairing for his season debut on Saturday against the Senators. The 27-year-old spent a year and a half in Ottawa before getting traded to Winnipeg 11 months ago. He missed the team's recent three-game road trip to stay home with his wife and a newborn baby. DeMelo didn't register any points in 10 outings for the Jets last season, but he's an interesting puck-moving blueliner who's quite capable offensively. Ville Heinola will make way for DeMelo, who is set to become Morrissey's fourth different partner this season.
