Andrew Morris News
Minnesota Twins starting pitching prospect Andrew Morris tossed one of the best starts of his season on Wednesday as he logged seven shutout innings. He allowed just two hits and one free pass while striking out nine batters. This was a big bounce-back for the Texas Tech product as he served a season-high six earned runs in his last start. After getting a brief second look at High-A this summer, he earned a promotion to Double-A, where he has continued to perform quite well. Through his first 61 frames at Double-A Wichita, the 22-year-old sports a 1.90 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 14:63 BB:K ratio. He is currently considered to be the 18th-best prospect in the Twins system on MLB.com and could spend most of next summer at Triple-A if he continues to perform well at Double-A.

Andrew Morris Moving Up To Double-A
Minnesota Twins starting pitching prospect Andrew Morris was promoted to Double-A on Tuesday, May 21. Morris has been excellent this season and was recently named the High-A Midwest League Pitcher of the Week on May 19 due to his stellar outing on May 15, in which he tossed seven shutout innings, allowing just one hit and tallying six punchouts. Through 37 innings at High-A this season, the 22-year-old has a 2.15 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and a 43:7 K:BB ratio. The former fourth-round selection is considered the number 18 prospect in Minnesota on MLB Pipeline, but that could change over the summer as Morris settles in at Double-A. He should be monitored closely by dynasty managers as he could push for a late-season promotion to Triple-A.
