Kaelen Culpepper Still the Top Stash Option Following Return From Injured List?

Just as Minnesota Twins shortstop prospect Kaelen Culpepper returned from a two-week stint on the injured list with a left hip strain, he injured his hand earlier this week and is now day-to-day. Despite the recent injury bug, Culpepper is still a priority stash ahead of his call-up to the major leagues. If not for the injuries, the talented former first-round pick likely would have already received the call to the major leagues. Through 250 Triple-A at-bats this season, Culpepper is hitting .272 with 14 homers and 43 RBI to go with 15 stolen bases. The Twins have the luxury of some quality players to play on their big-league infield, including Brooks Lee, Kody Clemens, and Ryan Kreidler, but Culpepper could eventually force his hand should he demonstrate he can stay healthy, and his production should follow him to the major leagues. He looks like a priority stash target in mid-to-deep size leagues and could be a quality piece for the stretch run for many fantasy managers.

Kaelen Culpepper Day-to-Day With Hand Injury at Triple-A

Minnesota Twins shortstop prospect Kaelen Culpepper (hand) is likely day-to-day at Triple-A St. Paul while he awaits X-ray results on his left hand, according to Theodore Tollefson. Culpepper, the team's No. 2 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was held out of the Saints' lineup on Wednesday with a left-hand injury after he was hit by a pitch in his first at-bat on Tuesday. The 23-year-old former 21st overall pick in 2024 out of Kansas State University recently missed over two weeks with a strained left hip as well, so he's been banged up quite a bit of late. Despite the recent injuries, Culpepper is one of the top infield prospects to stash in fantasy baseball, as his first MLB call-up could be coming sooner rather than later. In 63 games and 295 plate appearances at St. Paul in 2026, Culpepper is slashing .272/.376/.492 with an .868 OPS, 14 home runs, 43 RBI, 15 stolen bases, and 54 runs scored. The 5-foot-10, 185-pounder makes a lot of contact and has intriguing power/speed upside, but he does tend to chase out of the zone.

Kaelen Culpepper Quickly Nearing Return to Action, Still the Top Prospect to Stash?

Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper was placed on the 7-day injured list earlier in June with a left hip strain. However, since hitting the injured list on June 16, the top-ranked prospect has resumed baseball activity and could return to game action as early as this weekend, according to Theodore Tollefson of Twins Daily. Before hitting the injured list for this minor injury, Culpepper was enjoying a dominant stretch at Triple-A, where he posted a .400/.509/.622 line with two doubles, two home runs, and three stolen bases over his last 12 contests. Overall on the season, the former first-round pick holds a .273/.377/.498 line with 14 home runs and 15 stolen bases. Once he returns to action, Culpepper will have a clear path to at-bats at the MLB level, given Minnesota's lack of success, especially at shortstop. Heading into Week 14, Culpepper continues to carry high-end stash value in all standard leagues as he remains on the doorstep of the major leagues.

Kaelen Culpepper Resumes Baseball Activities, Still a High-End Stash Option?

Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper (hip) remains on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul with a hip strain after being placed on the IL on June 16. Though he hasn't returned yet, the Twins' second-ranked prospect resumed baseball activities this week and looks to be on track to make a return to the field within the next week, provided he does not suffer any setbacks. The former first-rounder was slashing .273/.377/.498 with 14 home runs, 15 steals, and a 12.8 percent walk rate (17.3 percent strikeout rate) before the injury, seemingly putting himself on the precipice of a major league debut. The right-handed hitter displayed the same power/speed profile in 2025, recording 20 home runs and 25 steals in 113 games at High-A and Double-A. That skillset certainly makes him intriguing for fantasy, but fantasy managers will have to wait a bit longer for his debut. With the ability to be a multi-category contributor and assuming he'll return to the field in short order, the 23-year-old should still be considered a high-end stash in deeper leagues.

Does Kaelen Culpepper Still Maintain Elite Stash Value While on Injured List?

Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper has seen his fantasy stock take a short-term dip due to his current hip injury. Last week, the Twins placed their top infield prospect on the 7-day injured list with a hip strain. While this does not appear to be a long-term concern, managers in shallower leagues may need to cut ties with the budding star. Before the injury, the former 21st overall pick from the 2024 MLB Draft was flashing high-end upside with the Triple-A club, posting a .273/.377/.498 slash line with 11 doubles, 14 home runs, and 15 stolen bases. While his MLB debut was delayed by this injury, he should have a clear path to the Twins once he returns to the Triple-A diamond. While those in shallower leagues should monitor him from the waiver wire, those in deeper leagues with several NA spots should still view him as a top stash target in Week 13.

Twins Place Prospect Kaelen Culpepper on Triple-A Injured List

The Minnesota Twins placed shortstop prospect Kaelen Culpepper (hip) on the seven-day Triple-A injured list with a strained left hip, according to The Athletic's Aaron Gleeman. There was talk about Culpepper potentially being in line for a big-league promotion soon after tearing it up at the top minor-league level, but those talks will now be put on hold for the time being. The Twins' No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, has hit .273/.377/.498 with an .875 OPS, 14 home runs, 43 RBI, 15 stolen bases, and 53 runs scored in 61 games across 289 plate appearances for the St. Paul Saints in 2026 before injuring his hip. The 23-year-old former 21st overall pick in the 2024 MLB draft out of Kansas State University uses the entire field and makes plenty of contact from the right side of the plate. He tends to chase offspeed pitches off the plate, but with his power/speed upside, he should be rostered in most dynasty/keeper leagues despite his injury. MLB Pipeline has Culpepper ranked 36th overall this year among all prospects.

Does Minor Injury Diminish Kaelen Culpepper's Stash Worthiness?

Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper (glute) was removed from his latest game at Triple-A on Saturday due to glute tightness, and according to Twins general manager Jeremy Zoll, the team believes the injury will not warrant a trip to the injured list. Culpepper should simply be considered day-to-day. Having not played on Sunday and with no game on Monday, it will be interesting to see if the Twins' second-ranked prospect is out there on Tuesday against Omaha or if he'll need more time. The injury slows some momentum that had been building for the former first-round draft pick as he had hit safely in 16 of his last 17 games before Saturday (0-for-3), going 24-for-69 (.348) with two doubles, a triple, five home runs, and five stolen bases over that time, along with an impressive 12:11 BB:K. The recent hot stretch lifted the 23-year-old's season-long slash line to .273/.377/.498 with 14 home runs, 15 steals, a strong 12.8 percent walk rate, and a 17.3 percent strikeout rate. The right-handed hitter should still be on track to debut in the majors in the coming weeks and should be viewed as a high-end stash for fantasy in all leagues with five-category potential.

Kaelen Culpepper Day-to-Day with Glute Tightness

Minnesota Twins infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper (glute) was removed early from his game with Triple-A St. Paul on Saturday, fueling speculation that he might be headed to the big leagues. However, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports that Culpepper was pulled from the game due to glute tightness and is now considered day to day. The 23-year-old has hit well so far this season across 289 plate appearances at Triple-A, slashing .273/.377/.498 with 14 home runs, 43 RBI, 53 runs scored, and 15 stolen bases. The Twins have gotten middling production from the infield trio of Brooks Lee, Tristan Gray, and Luke Keaschall, which could open a spot for Culpepper to make his MLB debut. Once healthy, Culpepper could be worth stashing off the waiver wire ahead of a potential promotion due to his five-category production potential.

Kaelen Culpepper Removed Early from Triple-A Game, On Call-Up Watch?

Minnesota Twins shortstop Kaelen Culpepper was removed early during his Triple-A game in Toledo on Saturday. There hasn't been a reason given yet, which could mean that the 23-year-old is heading to the big leagues. Before this game, Culpepper was slashing .277/.381/.504 with 14 home runs, 43 RBI, and 15 stolen bases in 60 games at Triple-A this season. Culpepper is currently the Twins' No. 2 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline. They selected him in the first-round of the 2024 draft out of Kansas State. Fantasy managers should stay tuned for more updates. A move to the big leagues would make Culpepper a popular waiver wire addition.

When Will Kaelen Culpepper Make his MLB Debut?

Minnesota Twins top infield prospect Kaelen Culpepper continues to showcase elite upside at the Triple-A level and is on the verge of his MLB debut. Over his last 15 contests at St. Paul, the budding infielder has carried an elite .325/.425/.581 line with a 1.005 OPS. During this stretch, Culpepper has gone deep five times and swiped four bags. Overall, the 23-year-old has looked quite comfortable during his first stint at the top club of the minor leagues, posting a .268/.372/.489 slash line with 10 doubles, 14 home runs, 14 stolen bases, and an impressive 49:35 K:BB. Seeing him not only maintain his five-category profile but also show a strong eye at the plate has made him an elite stash option among hitting prospects. Given that Minnesota has lacked much production in the middle of their infield, Culpepper appears to be on a trajectory to debut before the end of June.
