Cam Collier Snaps Minor Skid

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier has snapped his previous 1-for-13 skid he held for most of last week. In his previous three games, the first-round selection in the 2022 MLB Draft has gone 5-for-9 with a .556/.600/.778 line with five RBI and two doubles. Prior to his minor cold stretch, the infielder posted a dominant .417/.523/.722 line his previous 10 games. Collier has spent the entire summer at High-A and held a solid .248/.344/.424 line with 15 home runs, 59 RBI, 19 doubles and a 50:119 BB:K ratio through 99 games. The 19-year-old is ranked as the fifth-best prospect in the Reds system on MLB.com and should spend most of next summer in the upper levels of the minor leagues.

Cam Collier Collects Player Of The Week Honors

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier has won High-A Midwest League Player of the Week with a big performance this past week. Baseball's No. 82 prospect per MLB Pipeline went 10-for-17 with two homers, five RBI and eight runs scored to earn the honor. Collier, 19, has really come into his own in his third professional season, hitting .246 with a career-high 15 home runs to go along with 53 RBI and 53 runs scored. Collier has quick bat speed from the left side of the plate and has seen his power improve in 2024. He is a few years away the big leagues, but if he continues to improve at this rate, he could be promoted quicker than expected. In the middle of a breakout campaign, he should be on the radar of dynasty managers.

Cam Collier Stays Hot With Four-Hit Game On Thursday

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier stayed hot on Thursday evening by going 4-for-5 with a double, a long ball, and a walk. This was his second consecutive game going deep and his third straight multi-hit game. In his past seven games, the former first-round selection in the 2022 MLB Draft has been swinging a hot bat with a .480/.581/.840 line, 12 hits, two home runs, and a 4:4 BB:K ratio. Since June 25, the 19-year-old holds a .281 AVG which is a big improvement over the .229 AVG he held through most of the first half of the season. Collier could earn a brief taste of Double-A late this summer, given how well he has begun to play at High-A. Dynasty managers should continue to monitor his progress as he develops into one of the top third base prospects.

Cam Collier Hits 14th Home Run Wednesday

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier ended his power drought on Wednesday, going 2-for-4 with his first home run in 21 games for High-A Dayton, although he did hit a home run in the All-Star Futures Game. Despite not hitting home runs, the 19-year-old has still been hitting well as of late, going 8-for-20 (.400) over his last six games. For the season, the former first-round draft pick has a .236-14-51-48-1 line in 331 at-bats. If he can finish the season strong he could see some ABs at Double-A before the year is out, but he's still likely a couple years away from the majors and a name to keep a close eye on.

Cam Collier Earns Futures Game MVP

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier was the star of this year's All-Star Futures Game, going 1-for-2 with a solo home run to put the National League on the board. The Reds' No. 3 prospect (per MLB.com) was subsequently named the Futures Game's MVP. Despite his success in Arlington, Collier is having a subpar season with High-A Dayton. Through 78 games, he's slashing .231/.309/.405 with 12 doubles, 13 homers, 48 RBI and a 31:87 BB:K. He's still only 19 and has plenty of time to develop, though. As of right now, he's expected to make his MLB debut in 2026.

Cam Collier Earns Futures Game Invite

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier has been added to the National League roster for the Futures Game. The 19-year-old is hitting .230 with 13 homers and 48 RBI for Single-A Dayton this season. The 18th overall pick in the 2022 MLB Draft, Collier hit .246 with six homers and 68 RBI at Single-A last year in his first full professional season. The Reds' No. 3 overall prospect is a very young, raw prospect at the moment, but the invite to the Futures Game is a sign of how he is regarded as a prospect across the league. Collier has loads of potential but is still years away from making a big-league impact.

Cam Collier Blasts Home Run For High-A Dayton

Cincinnati Red third base prospect Cam Collier hit a home run Thursday for High-A Dayton. The Reds' No. 4 prospect is hitting .232 with 12 homers and 46 RBI for Dayton this season. Collier may not be hitting for a high batting average but he has been productive nonetheless as he adjusts to his first season at High-A. At just 19 years old, Collier is a promising prospect with a bright future. The left-handed batter has a high upside as a pure hitter with plus power. As he continues to grow into his body and adjust to the minor leagues he should advance quickly through the Reds' system. However, he is likely at least a few years from being on the radar in redraft leagues.

Cam Collier Has Big Month Of April

Cincinnati Reds third base prospect Cam Collier had an impressive month of April for High-A Dayton. The 19-year-old hit .296 with seven home runs, 25 RBI and a .617 slugging percentage. The son of former big-leaguer Lou Collier, Cam was the Reds first-round selection in the 2022 draft. Collier improved during the second half of last season as he started driving more balls that were grounders earlier in the season. At such a young age, Collier's improving at a fast rate and more power should continue to come his body fills out and he continues to make improvements at the plate. He is a few years away from making an impact at the big-league level, but managers in dynasty leagues should consider rostering Collier as his value will only continue to get higher as the season goes on.

Cam Collier Breaking Out In High-A

Cincinnati Reds infielder prospect Cam Collier continues to destroy baseballs for the High-A Dayton Dragons. In what appears to be the start of a breakout season for the 19-year-old, the Reds farmhand homered twice on Thursday, giving him five long balls on the young season. The former first-rounder had a solid year for a teenager in 2023 but appears ready to take off this season. With loud tools and an outstanding pedigree, Collier will continue to move up prospect lists and could be a valuable fantasy asset at the hot corner. He currently sits at .310/.326/.548 over 43 plate appearances.

Cam Collier Records A Hit In Eighth Straight Game

Cincinnati Reds third baseman prospect Cam Collier went 1-for-4 for High-A Dayton on Sunday, extending his hit streak to eight straight games to begin the season. The lefty hitter also drove in his eleventh run of 2024 and is now hitting .353 (12-for-34) with a pair of home runs on the season. The 19-year-old was a first-round draft pick in 2022 for the Reds and has shown well for his age over his first couple of seasons in the minors. Collier is the seventh-ranked prospect for Cincinnati with both Noelvi Marte and Sal Stewart ranked in front of him at third base. Marte would have been with the big league club if not for his suspension, but Collier isn't expected to debut until 2026 so it's hard to say what the landscape will be at that point. It is possible, however, that he'll need to eventually make a move to first base. Dynasty managers will want to see him grow into more power though if he's going to man either corner infield spot, as he hit just six home runs in 390 at-bats last season.
