Chase Meidroth Fantasy Stats

Chicago White Sox second baseman Chase Meidroth was one of the stars of his team's 7-3 closeout victory over the Houston Astros in the American League Wild Card Series on Wednesday, going two-for-three with a home run, a walk, and three RBI. Meidroth was one of the drivers of Chicago's two-game sweep, logging four hits and four RBI in eight plate appearances in the series. The 25-year-old was a steady presence in the White Sox lineup all season long in 2026, slashing .276/.350/.415 with 16 home runs, 63 RBI, 90 runs scored, and four stolen bases across 643 plate appearances. With his 9.5% walk rate and elite defense at second base, Meidroth profiles as the type of under-the-radar contributor who could help power a deeper-than-expected postseason run for Chicago.

Across 502 plate appearances this season, Chicago White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth is hitting .275/.351/.411 with 12 home runs, 49 RBI, 71 runs scored, and two stolen bases. The 25-year-old's ability to get on base (9.8% walk rate) and his everyday role in the potent White Sox lineup provide him with a stable production floor. Meidroth has also been hot of late, hitting .300/.386/.560 with three home runs, nine RBI, and nine runs scored across 57 plate appearances in August. Meidroth's 4.5% barrel rate and 34.7% hard-hit rate do not point to significant power upside, so fantasy managers should temper expectations. Still, Meidroth controls the zone and should be an asset in terms of both batting average and run production. Particularly in deeper leagues, Meidroth is a worthy waiver wire target.

Chicago White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth broke out in a big way in Thursday's wild 12-11 loss at Fenway Park to the Boston Red Sox by going 3-for-5 out of the leadoff spot with two home runs, four RBI, two walks, and one strikeout to boost his season batting average to .275 and his OPS to .757. Both of Meidroth's homers were two-run shots, one in the third inning off lefty Ranger Suarez, and the other in the 10th inning off lefty Aroldis Chapman. It was nice to see from the 25-year-old, who was 4-for-21 in his last seven games. The 25-year-old former fourth-rounder from the University of San Diego is now hitting .275/.352/.405 with 11 home runs, 44 RBI, 67 runs scored, and two stolen bases across his 407 at-bats in 2026 in just his second year in the big leagues with the Pale Hose. So far in August, Meidroth has been hot, going 6-for-17 (.353) with two homers, four RBI, and five runs scored, making him a waiver-wire consideration for infield depth in deeper leagues. He's rostered in just 34% of Yahoo leagues.

Chicago White Sox second baseman Chase Meidroth went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Monday's 10-3 win over Texas. He is batting .272 with seven home runs, 57 runs, 32 RBI, and two steals across 356 at-bats. The speed has nearly vanished after 14 steals last season, and seven homers do not turn him into a power pickup. Still, he keeps playing and getting on base. Meidroth started at second base and hit fifth Monday. Eligibility at second, third, and shortstop makes the profile easier to use when injuries or off days leave a hole. Only 27% of Yahoo leagues have him rostered. There is not a loud category here, but the .272 average and regular plate appearances have value. RotoBaller keeps Meidroth in its 12-team range, where he works as a steady middle-infield option rather than a priority claim.

Across 392 plate appearances in 2026, Chicago White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth is hitting .269/.341/.379 with seven home runs, 31 RBI, 54 runs scored, and two stolen bases. The 24-year-old has made some power strides this season after hitting five homers across 505 plate appearances in 2025, but he still owns just a 4.2% barrel rate and a 34% hard-hit rate. Meidroth has also seen his strikeout rate spike from 14.3% last season to 24.0% in 2026. Still, Meidroth owns a strong 9.4% walk rate and profiles as a plus defender in the middle infield for Chicago, which keeps him in the lineup on an everyday basis. He also swiped 14 bags in 2025, so he could get to a bit more speed over the final few months of the current season. Fantasy managers should not expect league-winning production from Meidroth, but he's a useful depth piece to target on deep-league waiver wires.

Chicago White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth had a strong month of June, putting himself on the map for a waiver-wire pickup in deeper mixed leagues for fantasy managers in search of infield depth. In 25 games last month, Meidroth went 27-for-94 (.287) with a homer, four doubles, nine RBI, and 14 runs scored across 106 plate appearances to boost his season line to .268/.339/.378 with a .717 OPS. So far in five games in July, he's gone 3-for-19 (.158) with a homer, two RBI, a run scored, one walk, and three strikeouts. The former fourth-round pick by the Boston Red Sox in 2022 out of the University of San Diego made his big-league debut last year with the White Sox and hit .253/.329/.320 with a .649 OPS, five homers, 23 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and 54 runs scored in 122 games played. Meidroth is striking out at a higher 23.9% clip (compared to 14.3% last year), and he's also not running as much when he gets on base. He might be worth a look as a short-term waiver-wire option when he's hot, but Meidroth's xBA of .229 and xwOBA of .285 point to plenty of regression coming in the second half.

Chicago White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth is quietly hitting .276 (83-for-301) in his second year in the major leagues for a resurgent White Sox club in 2026. Meidroth hit .253/.329/.320 with only five home runs, 23 RBI, 14 stolen bases, and 54 runs scored in 122 games (505 plate appearances) in 2025 in his rookie season. He's only stolen two bases in his 80 games so far in 2026, but the 24-year-old former fourth-round pick by the Boston Red Sox in 2022 out of the University of San Diego already has a career-high six homers in 339 plate appearances. In 23 games and 97 plate appearances in June, Meidroth has gone 26-for-89 (.292) with a homer, three doubles, nine RBI, and 11 runs scored. The problem with adding Meidroth off the waiver is that he currently has an elevated 24.8% strikeout rate (up from 14.3% last year), and his walk rate is nearly identical to what it was last year at 8.6%. His xBA of .227 and xwOBA of .282 point to serious regression since he's not making nearly as much contact as he did in 2025. Meidroth might be in play as a short-term middle-infield boost while he's hot, but his underlying metrics say that it's not going to last. He's rostered in only 30% of Yahoo leagues.

Across 299 plate appearances in 2026, Chicago White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth is hitting .278/.347/.399 with six home runs, 25 RBI, 43 runs scored, and two stolen bases. The 25-year-old's underlying power metrics are marginally improved this season, as he's logged a 5.0% barrel rate after posting a 1.6% barrel rate in 2025. Still, Meidroth is highly unlikely to provide fantasy managers with much power or run production. On the other hand, Meidroth has established himself as a plus defender at second base with a solid hit tool, which should keep him in the White Sox lineup on an everyday basis. He also stole 14 bases in 122 MLB games in 2025, so his speed output could pick up over the course of a larger sample size in 2026. In deeper leagues, fantasy managers in need of stability in the middle infield may want to consider targeting Meidroth on the waiver wire.

Chicago White Sox second baseman Chase Meidroth has quietly put together a solid season thus far, slashing .274/.344/.390 with five home runs, two stolen bases, 40 runs, and 21 RBI. He is in the top 16 overall in MLB in hits and runs and has demonstrated strong plate discipline metrics, as evidenced by his 26.4 percent chase rate (69th percentile), 19.8 percent whiff rate (74th percentile), and 22.2 percent strikeout rate (42nd percentile). While none of those numbers pop off the charts, they are consistent, and he is seeing every day playing time for the White Sox, who are competing this year (34-31), and Meidroth is batting in the middle of the lineup (fifth), which should continue to produce run-scoring opportunities. Meidroth, who was a former fourth-round pick in 2022, doesn't profile as a player with incredible upside, but his situation and plate discipline have made him into a reliable fantasy asset that fantasy managers should consider at the middle infield position.

Chicago White Sox infielder Chase Meidroth (ankle) is out of Tuesday's starting lineup against the division-rival Minnesota Twins at Target Field after suffering a sprained right ankle in Monday's contest. Lenyn Sosa will draw the start at the keystone and will bat out of the three-hole against Twins right-hander Simeon Woods Richardson. For now, Meidroth should be viewed as day-to-day by fantasy managers in deeper leagues, but he shouldn't be ruled out for a trip to the injured list if he can't get back on the field soon. Sosa has been one of the team's more productive bats this year, as he enters Tuesday's game with a career-best 18 home runs, 61 RBI and a .266/.295/.432 slash line in 120 games played for the Pale Hose. In his first 99 MLB games this year, Meidroth has gone 92-for-363 (.253) with only four homers, 21 RBI and 13 steals in 409 trips to the plate.
