Cole Carrigg Swipes Three Bags on Friday

Colorado Rockies outfield prospect Cole Carrigg went 1-for-5 with a single and swiped three bags during their contest against Double-A Reading on Friday evening. Carrigg would swipe all three bags in the same inning. He hit a single and then proceeded to swipe second and third, before stealing home base. This was his second-straight contest at Double-A, stealing at least one base. Through 90 games with Hartford this season, Carrigg has stolen an impressive 40 bases while holding a .243/.334/.404 line. He has launched 11 long balls and added 12 doubles. He is worth monitoring as he should be in the mix to join Triple-A later in the second half.

Cole Carrigg Launches First Double-A Home Run

Colorado Rockies catching prospect Cole Carrigg went 3-for-4 on Sunday with his first long ball and stolen base at the Double-A level. After tallying at least one hit in each of his first two games at the level, Carrigg enjoyed a breakout showing as he hit his first round-tripper at this level and tallied four RBI. This was also his first time reaching first base multiple times in a game this season. Carrigg spent the majority of the 2024 season with High-A Spokane and held a strong .280/.358/.475 slash line with 16 doubles and 16 round-trippers. He showed elite speed as he swiped 51 bags and held a solid 50:97 BB:K. The 22-year-old has looked quite comfortable holding a .385/.429/.629 through three games with Double-A. Given that he spent the entire 2024 season with High-A, he will likely only be in the mix for a late-season taste of Triple-A.

Cole Carrigg Hitting Well In High-A

Colorado Rockies shortstop/outfield/catcher prospect Cole Carrigg earned Player of the Week honors in the Northwest League for High-A Spokane. Carrigg, the club's No. 8 prospect per MLB Pipeline won the award by hitting .407 with two doubles, one triple, two homers, four RBI and three stolen bases over 27 at-bats. The switch-hitter out of the San Diego State has proven to be able to make contact from both sides of the plate and despite his aggressiveness, his quick bat speed has helped him out. Carrigg's athleticism is a huge attribute that he carries and could help him climb the system faster than most players, should he continue to prove he can hit the ball well. For the season, Carrigg is hitting .303 with eight triples, seven home runs, 33 RBI and 29 stolen bases in 254 at-bats. Managers in dynasty leagues should consider adding the 22-year-old to the watch-list as his talent projects to play out well in a future home of Coors Field.
