Johnathan Rodriguez Posts Three Consecutive Multi-Hit Games Since Return To Triple-A
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Johnathan Rodriguez was sent back down to Triple-A on June 2 after logging his first 12 games in the major leagues (eight starts). However, since his return to Triple-A Columbus, he has been performing very well and should rejoin the major league roster fairly soon. Since Jun 4, Rodriguez has tallied at least two hits in three straight games, including a stellar three-home run game on Thursday evening. Overall through 46 games at Triple-A this summer, the 24-year-old has posted a .301/.399/.526 line ten long balls, 39 RBI, and four swiped bags. He has now logged a cumulative 93 games at the Triple-A level over the past two seasons and could become an everyday major leaguer by the end of the summer.

He was selected in the third round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft from the Carlos Beltran Academy in Puerto Rico. Rodriguez really grew into his power in 2022 when he hit 26 homers and had a .540 slugging percentage over 107 games for High-A and AA.
