Chicago White Sox infield prospect William Bergolla is performing well during his first taste of Double-A. Through his first 24 games at this level, Bergolla has held a strong .315/.390/.382 slash line with six doubles, seven RBI, and 12 stolen bases. During this stretch, he held a 10:9 K:BB. Last summer, the 20-year-old spent all of his time at the High-A level, split between Jersey Shore and Winston-Salem. Across 89 total games, Bergolla held a .300/.359/.381 slash line with five triples, 12 doubles, and one long ball. Fantasy managers should expect Bergolla to spend most of his time this season at the Double-A level. However, if he continues to produce well, he could open the door for a late-season taste of Triple-A.
Philadelphia Phillies infield prospect William Bergolla was traded to the Chicago White Sox in a deal that sent left-handed pitcher Tanner Banks to the City of Brotherly Love. Bergolla made his High-A debut this summer and has performed quite well with a .295/.350/.385 slash line, 29 RBI, 18 swiped bags, and a 22:30 BB:K ratio. Bergolla was considered the 11th-best prospect in the Philadelphia system on MLB.com and should slot in near the top 10 in Chicago as well. Bergolla should continue to play at High-A this summer but should be expected to spend most of next season in the higher levels of the minor leagues, given his current trajectory.
