Free-agent linebacker Jordan Hicks (Eagles) intends to sign a four-year deal worth $36 million with the Arizona Cardinals, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The deal will include $12 million to sign and $20 million guaranteed. The 26-year-old is a three-down linebacker and is a huge upgrade to the middle of the Cardinals defense moving forward. Hicks missed just five tackles in 2018, per Pro Football Focus. He had 91 tackles, five passes defensed and three sacks in 12 games in a bounce-back season.
Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks (Achilles) was able to participate in individual drills during organized team activities. Hicks tore his Achilles in October and was unable to do any work during team drills, but he was able to work on his own. After cutting Mychal Kendricks last week, the Eagles will need Hicks to be ready for Week 1 and they are expecting him to be.
Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Jordan Hicks suffered a torn Achilles' tendon on Monday night, ending his season. It's a huge loss for the Eagles defense, with the only good news being that Hicks is expected to be ready for next season. The Eagles will have their linebacker depth tested going forward, as Nigel Bradham and Mychal Kendricks will need to step up in place of Hicks.
