Cam Hart Recovering From Shoulder Surgery

Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Cam Hart (shoulder) missed most of the spring program while he rehab from offseason shoulder surgery, which made it hard to get a read on where the team's rotations stood during OTAs and minicamp, according to The Athletic's Daniel Popper. Hart and Tarheeb Still both had solid rookie seasons in 2024, but Donte Jackson and Benjamin St-Juste enter the picture as free-agent additions in 2025, while Ja'Sir Taylor and Deane Leonard return as veterans. It's unclear exactly how the Chargers plan to attack their cornerback rotations. Popper explains that they have plenty of choices. They could have a package with bigger bodies outside, they could have a package with smaller ball-hawking types, or they could mix and match.

Chargers' Cam Hart Questionable To Return

Los Angeles Chargers cornerback Cam Hart (shoulder) is questionable to return to the team's Wild-Card game against the Houston Texans, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. Hart went down after a collision and immediately went to the locker room upon sustaining the injury. The fifth-round rookie from Notre Dame has carved out a role on the Chargers with Asante Samuel Jr. (shoulder) on injured reserve, but the team might have to go even further into its depth chart if Hart misses time.

Cam Hart Leaves With Concussion

According to Tyler Dragon of USA Today, Los Angeles Chargers defensive back Cam Hart (concussion) was forced from Sunday's 40-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and did not return. Before leaving, the 24-year-old notched one tackle and one pass breakup. Hart sustained his injury in the final minute of the second quarter while defending a deep shot to Bucs' wideout Mike Evans. It's undoubtedly a blow to the team as the rookie DB was starting for the Chargers and their third-leading snap-getter among defensive backs. With LA on a short week and a matchup against the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football, we'll unlikely see him clear the league's protocol expeditiously enough to be active for the game. However, crazier things have happened. Fantasy managers will want to monitor his status over the coming days.
