Omarion Hampton Limited in Thursday's Practice

Los Angeles Chargers rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in practice on Thursday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hampton returned to practice last Tuesday for the first time since suffering a fractured ankle back in Week 5, but he was ultimately held out for the team's win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Although the 22-year-old first-rounder was only limited in the first practice of the week, head coach Jim Harbaugh said earlier this week that Hampton was tracking towards making his return for a Week 14 Monday night showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles at SoFi Stadium. Hampton will probably need a full practice on Friday or Saturday to avoid a questionable tag going into Monday's game. The North Carolina product should work up to being L.A.'s primary RB again in time, but in his first game back, he figures to be in more of a timeshare with Kimani Vidal, making him more of an RB3/flex for fantasy purposes.

Omarion Hampton "on Track and Looking Good" for Week 14

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh told reporters on Wednesday that rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) is "on track and looking good" to come off Injured Reserve and play on Monday Night Football against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14, per Omar Ruiz of NFL Network. "He's ramping up," Harbaugh said when asked about his confidence level on whether Hampton will play on Monday. The 22-year-old from North Carolina has been out since Week 5 due to a fracture in his ankle, but he's trending toward playing in Week 14. It's perfect timing with the fantasy football playoffs starting in most leagues next week. However, Hampton still isn't a lock to play on Monday, and if he does, the Chargers are expected to have a shared backfield with Hampton and Kimani Vidal to ease Hampton back into the fold. The Chargers hold their first official practice of the week on Thursday, so check back to see what Hampton's participation is.

Omarion Hampton Returning Just in Time for the Fantasy Playoffs

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) is gearing up for a return in Week 14, when they host the Philadelphia Eagles. Hampton hasn't played since Week 5, after he suffered a left-ankle fracture in the loss to the Washington Commanders. Before the injury, the 2025 first-round pick was starting to play his best football, totaling 291 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns in the two weeks before the injury. However, this run game will become more of a committee than what was previously used earlier in the season. Kimani Vidal has been a force in the run game with Hampton out, logging over 100 rushing yards and a touchdown in four of his last seven games. Hampton's return will be at a great time for fantasy managers, as they prepare for a championship run in their leagues, but his value will be more as an RB2 than as the RB1 he was before.

Omarion Hampton Likely to Return in Week 14

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) is likely to return in Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. Hampton is expected to return to action on Monday night after missing the last seven games with a fracture in his ankle. The rookie first-rounder was listed as a limited participant every day in practice last week before ultimately being ruled out against the Las Vegas Raiders. The rookie could be eased back into action after missing a significant amount of time. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman indicated that Hampton and second-year back Kimani Vidal could operate in a timeshare upon his return, which creates some uncertainty for his fantasy value in what will be a tough first matchup back against the Eagles. Hampton should still operate as the lead back, but it may not be in the workhorse role right away like we saw before his injury.

Omarion Hampton Close to Returning in Week 14?

Los Angeles Chargers rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) has already resumed practicing with the team and could make his return for a Monday night showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 14. "We opened his window, and we certainly wouldn't have done that 21-day window if he wasn't close. I feel like he's been on track, and we'll let the week play out again," head coach Jim Harbaugh said when asked about Hampton's timeline for a return. The 22-year-old was limited in practice last week, and he might need a full practice this week to be cleared to play next Monday for the first time since he fractured his ankle in Week 5 against the Washington Commanders. The North Carolina product could split backfield duties with Kimani Vidal upon his return, but eventually, Hampton should be the Bolts' clear lead back. Hampton should not be on the waiver wire in any fantasy football leagues.

Omarion Hampton Ruled Out for Week 13

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) has officially been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Alex Insdorf of the Bolt Beat. Hampton has been sidelined since Week 5, and it was recently reported that he was dealing with a fractured ankle. The rookie first-rounder was listed as limited every day in practice this week, and will need at least another week before he's ready to go. It's also possible that Hampton operates in a timeshare with second-year back Kimani Vidal when he returns, as indicated by offensive coordinator Greg Roman. That could limit the rookie's rest of season upside, but he was producing at a high level before going down with injury, recording 66 carries for 314 yards and two touchdowns along with 20 receptions (22 targets) for 136 yards as a receiver. Vidal is in line to handle the bulk of the touches again in Week 13 against the Raiders.

Omarion Hampton Listed as Limited in Thursday’s Estimated Injury Report

Los Angeles Chargers rookie running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) was listed as limited in Thursday's estimated practice report. Hampton was designated to return from the injured reserve on Tuesday after being out since Week 5 with an ankle fracture. According to ESPN's Kris Rhim, Hampton has been dealing with a left ankle fracture and wants to play on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders, but is leaving it up to the doctors. The Chargers have until Saturday afternoon to activate Hampton from the IR. The 22-year-old has rushed for 314 yards and two touchdowns while catching 20 passes for 136 yards over five games this season. Hampton would give the Chargers a much-needed boost in the rushing attack if he can return to action in Week 13. If Hampton remains out, look for Kimani Vidal to be the lead back for the Chargers again, and he is considered a FLEX play as the 37th-ranked running back from RotoBaller this week.

Omarion Hampton Hopes to be Full-Go Once he's Activated

Los Angeles Chargers rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) said he was dealing with a fractured ankle, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. Hampton also said he feels "amazing" and is hoping to be a full-go once he's activated from Injured Reserve. The 22-year-old Ohio State product fractured his ankle in Week 5 and has been out since, but he returned to a limited practice on Wednesday and has a shot to play this Sunday versus the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman hinted this week that Hampton could be in a timeshare with Kimani Vidal upon his return, which somewhat clouds his fantasy value upon his return. Hampton showed just before his ankle fracture that he's capable of RB1 upside with a heavy workload, but fantasy managers may want to temper expectations initially if L.A. looks to ease him back into the fold.

Omarion Hampton to Share Backfield Touches Upon his Return?

Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Greg Roman hinted that rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton (ankle) could split backfield touches with Kimani Vidal when he returns from Injured Reserve, according to Alex Insdorf. "We'll play that one by ear. I feel really good about both of them. I'm sure you'll see some sort of 1-2 punch there," Roman said when asked about Hampton's snap numbers with Vidal also in the fold. The 22-year-old Hampton is hoping to come off IR to play in Week 13 against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders, but nothing is official. If Hampton does return this Sunday, it sounds like he could see more of a timeshare in L.A.'s backfield, at least as the Bolts work him back into the fold for the first time since he injured his ankle in Week 5. Hampton will be a lot more volatile in fantasy football lineups if he's back on Sunday, even in a plus matchup, but eventually, he should regain lead-back duties for the Chargers by season's end.

Chargers Open Omarion Hampton's Practice Window

The Los Angeles Chargers opened rookie first-round running back Omarion Hampton's (ankle) 21-day practice window on Tuesday, according to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team. The Chargers are coming out of their bye in Week 12, and Hampton is now eligible to return from Injured Reserve after missing the team's last six games with a left-ankle injury. Whether the 22-year-old is cleared to play this Sunday against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13 will depend on how much he's able to do in practice this week. The North Carolina product was operating as L.A.'s clear lead back before his ankle injury, thanks to Najee Harris' season-ending Achilles injury. Kimani Vidal has been the Bolts' RB1 with Hampton sidelined, but his fantasy stock will take a huge hit when Hampton returns. Hampton should not be floating around on any waiver wires in fantasy football leagues.
