Chris Moore News
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Chris Moore, who is coming off the best season of his NFL career, will look to be versatile in order to help his new team in 2023. "I can do whatever they need me to do," Moore said. "First, I am a football player, and then I'm a receiver. Whatever they want me to do, I'm going to do it." The former fourth-rounder of the Ravens in 2016, Moore spent the last two years with the Texans and caught 48 passes for 548 yards and two TDs in 16 games (seven starts) in 2022. In his six NFL seasons, he's caught 116 passes for 1,286 yards and eight scores, and he also has experience as a kick returner. The 29-year-old will likely be behind Treylon Burks, Kyle Phillips and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine in the receiving pecking order, though, so he'll be off the fantasy radar to begin the year.
The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms on an undisclosed deal with free-agent wide receiver Chris Moore on Wednesday. In his second season with the Houston Texans last year, Moore posted career-highs in receptions (48), targets (74) and receiving yards (548) while finding the end zone two times in 16 games (seven starts). The 29-year-old pass-catcher shouldn't be expected to top those numbers in a run-first Titans offense, though, and Tennessee will likely add more bodies to the receiver room in next week's draft. Moore will be competing for playing time alongside Treylon Burks, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Kyle Phillips in his new home. He won't be worth a draft selection in standard 12-team fantasy leagues.
Houston Texans wide receivers Chris Moore (foot) and Brandin Cooks (calf) are officially active for Saturday's game against the Tennessee Titans. Moore was added to the injury report with a foot issue after being limited in practice throughout the week. With Nico Collins (foot) on injured reserve, the 29-year-old should have an expanded role for the rest of the season. Moore remains a flex option in a plus matchup versus the Titans. Cooks returns to action after missing the last three weeks with a hamstring injury. The 29-year-old has caught 44 passes for 520 yards and a touchdown over 10 games in 2022. Cooks will serve as Houston's top wide receiver and is considered a borderline WR3 in Week 16.
