David Sills V Leads Team In Receiving In Preseason Finale

New York Giants wide receiver David Sills V led the team in receiving in a loss to the New York Jets in the team's preseason finale on Saturday. He finished with a stat line of six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. The score came with just 47 seconds remaining in the contest when a win was essentially out of reach. All of his production came with third-string quarterback Tommy Devito under center. The ex-West Virginia Mountaineer is unlikely to make the final roster and should not be drafted in fantasy football.

David Sills V Signs Reserve Deal With New York Giants

New York Giants wide receiver David Sills V signed a reserve/futures deal with the Giants on Thursday. The 26-year-old played over 43 percent of snaps in each of the first five games of the season and accumulated 106 yards on 11 receptions with no touchdowns. Once the bigger-name receivers like Wan'Dale Robinson, Darius Slayton, and Kenny Golladay all got healthy, Sills started to see more healthy scratches. Even in dynasty formats, right now, he shouldn't be on the radar for any fantasy managers.

David Sills V Inactive For First Time This Season

New York Giants wide receiver David Sills V is a healthy scratch for Week 10 against the Houston Texans. He had been active for New York's first eight games, totaling 11 receptions for 106 yards. However, with Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton emerging, plus Kenny Golladay (knee) returning to action, the Giants evidently don't feel like they need Sills to be active this week. He should continue to be left on the waiver wire.

David Sills V Released By The Giants

The New York Giants released wide receiver David Sills V on Tuesday. The 25-year-old had a strong preseason overall, catching seven passes for 94 yards and a touchdown over three games. Sills faced long odds making the Giants roster with a deep wide receiver corps that included Kenny Golladay, Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, and John Ross. The former Giants wide receiver missed all of 2020 due to a fractured right foot. Sills will look to latch onto another team in search of receiver depth.

David Sills V Leads Giants In Receiving

New York Giants wide receiver David Sills V caught three passes for 49 yards in Saturday's 12-7 preseason loss to the New York Jets. He led the team in receiving yards and targets (five) in the preseason opener. The Giants wide receiver missed all of 2020 due to a fractured right foot. Sills is competing with Dante Pettis for the sixth spot on the wide receiver depth chart. Kenny Golladay, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, and John Ross occupy the first five spots. Even though Sills has impressed in camp, he will face an uphill battle to earn a spot on New York's Week 1 roster.
