Deebo Samuel News
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel was not targeted in the passing game in the team's 35-16 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Samuel (knee, ribs) was questionable coming into the game and disappointed fantasy managers who, when it was announced he would play on Sunday morning, figured he was in line for his usual hefty target share. One can only speculate at this point whether it had anything to do with the injuries, or if this was just your run-of-the-mill clunker as he took a back seat to the Christian McCaffrey show. Samuel did receive three carries but only managed six yards. He'll look to rebound in Week 5 when he faces a robust Dallas Cowboys defense at home on Sunday Night Football.
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel (ribs, knee) is officially active for Week 4 versus the Arizona Cardinals. He had been listed as questionable after upgrading to a limited participant in practice on Friday, though the expectation heading into gameday was that he would play. The 27-year-old totaled 247 yards and one touchdown through the first three games of the season. Despite competing for touches with the likes of Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Brandon Aiyuk, Samuel still has significant standalone value as a solid fantasy WR2.

Following his smash 2021 season where he finished as the number two overall receiver, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel started as a consistent option in 2022 before fighting a combination of injuries and stolen work from RB Christian McCaffrey following his mid-season trade to San Francisco. With many mouths to feed in the form of Samuel, McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Elijah Mitchell, Samuel should continue to see inconsistent volume both as a runner and a receiver...
