Arjun Nimmala Has Four-Hit Game At Single-A

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop prospect Arjun Nimmala recorded four hits in Tuesday's game for Single-A Dunedin. In August alone, Nimmala has recorded six multi-hit games, 11 extra-base hits, and 11 RBI. The 18-year-old is hitting .227/.308/.477 in 67 games at High-A this season with 13 homers and 38 RBI. The Blue Jays' No. 5 prospect is a ways away from the big leagues at just 18 years old, but he has shown some promise lately at Single-A as he adjusts to professional baseball. There is a lot of potential with Nimmala.

Arjun Nimmala Struggling In Single-A Debut

Toronto Blue Jays shortstop prospect Arjun Nimmala has struggled at the plate in his first taste of Single-A ball. Through 29 games, the 18-year-old has posted a .167/.280/.306 line with three home runs, four doubles, eight RBI, four stolen bases, and a 15:43 BB:K ratio. The former 20th overall selection in the 2023 MLB Draft logged just nine games in the Rookie League last summer and immediately opened this season with Single-A Dunedin. MLB Pipeline projects the young shortstop to reach the major leagues in 2027, and is considered the number three prospect in Toronto. Nimmala is a name to follow in dynasty leagues but should remain on waiver wires for several seasons.
