Brice Turang, Sal Frelick Out Against Lefty

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang and outfielder Sal Frelick are both out of the lineup for Thursday's series finale with Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Ranger Suarez on the mound. The Brewers are going with Andruw Monasterio at the keystone and Isaac Collins in right field with Turang and Frelick getting a day off. It's a rare off day for Turant, who continues to contribute across the board for fantasy managers with a .291/.359/.450 slash line, .808 OPS, 17 home runs, 70 RBI, 87 runs scored and 23 stolen bases in 505 at-bats. The 25-year-old is a major reason why Milwaukee is the best team in baseball. Monasterio has been a productive utility player for the Brew Crew in a limited role, batting .294 (30-for-102), but with only four homers. Collins is mainly useful for his speed (16 steals), but he's also hit .276 in 115 games in 2025.

Brice Turang Starting on Sunday

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang (wrist) is back in the lineup and batting sixth on Sunday against San Francisco Giants left-hander Robbie Ray. Turang missed the Brewers' 7-1 loss on Saturday after he took a pitch off the wrist on Friday, but fortunately, he avoided a serious injury. While the 25-year-old speedster is nowhere near last season's 50-steal pace, he has otherwise put up far better numbers than he did in 2024. Turang is slashing .286/.352/.428 with 14 homers, 64 RBI, 78 runs scored, and 21 steals over 522 plate appearances. So far in August, Turang has hit a sizzling .365/.420/.770 with eight HRs, 20 RBI, 16 runs, and two steals.

Brice Turang Absent on Saturday, "Touch-and-Go" With Wrist Injury

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang (wrist) is being held out of Saturday's starting lineup against the San Francisco Giants. Turang is touch-and-go with a wrist issue after being hit by a pitch during Friday's contest. It sounds like Turang did work out pregame, but they ultimately decided to rest him on Saturday. The X-rays came back negative, so fantasy managers should consider Turang as day-to-day. Caleb Durbin will take over at second base while Anthony Seigler plays third base during Saturday's game. Fantasy managers should check back on Sunday for another update on Turang.

Brice Turang Dealing With Pinky Injury

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang (pinky) exited Tuesday's 14-0 win over the Pirates early due to a "slight pinky issue," per Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Curt Hogg. Turang went 1-for-3 with a solo home run off of Paul Skenes and also had a strikeout before being replaced by Andruw Monasterio. Per manager Pat Murphy, Turang was only pulled because the Brewers were up by so much. It sounds and seems like the issue shouldn't hinder Turang, although fantasy managers should keep an eye out for any news on Wednesday. The 25-year-old has been productive for fantasy once again, slashing .278/.344/.411 with 12 home runs, 56 RBI, and 21 stolen bases in 481 plate appearances.

Brice Turang Resting Against a Lefty

Milwaukee Brewers infielder Brice Turang is out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the hosting New York Mets at Citi Field with a left-hander on the mound. Andruw Monasterio is starting at second base and will bat ninth against Mets southpaw David Peterson. Turang is getting a well-deserved breather after he snapped a 14-game hitting streak with an 0-for-4 performance with three strikeouts in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday in New York. The 25-year-old slashed a ridiculous .421/.452/.579 with 10 RBI and 11 runs scored during the streak. He'll get a chance to start a new streak when he returns for Friday's series opener in Miami against the Marlins. The former first-rounder doesn't have much power (five homers), but he's a great source of average (.288), runs scored (55) and speed (17 steal) in fantasy as a must-start asset when he's on the field.

Brice Turang Homers, Drives in Three on Sunday

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang had a productive game in a 9-8 win over the Minnesota Twins on Sunday. Turang went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer to help power the Brewers to the win. The veteran infielder gave the Brewers an 8-3 lead with his three-run shot in the fifth inning, a blast that traveled 412 feet with an exit velocity of 100.7 MPH. Turang is now hitting .274 with five homers, 50 runs, 30 RBI, and 16 stolen bases across 281 at-bats this season. While he doesn't typically have much power, he remains an elite source for steals in fantasy.

Christian Yelich, Brice Turang Sitting Against Southpaw

Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich and second baseman Brice Turang are both out of the starting lineup for Monday's contest against the visiting Boston Red Sox and tough left-handed pitcher Garrett Crochet. Yelich is currently riding a four-game hitting streak in which he's gone 7-for-16 with two homers, four RBI and a steal, but he's gone 8-for-63 (.127) with none of his nine home runs and 25 strikeouts in 71 plate appearances against left-handers on the year. The 33-year-old's recent hot streak has gotten his season average up to .205 on the year. Turang has struggled so far in May, going 15-for-77 (.195) with a homer, three doubles and five stolen bases. Isaac Collins is starting in left field and batting second, while Andruw Monasterios is at the keystone and batting ninth on Monday against Crochet. Neither player will be very attractive in DFS lineups against Crochet.

Brice Turang Out On Wednesday

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang is out of the team's starting lineup for Wednesday's series finale against the visiting Houston Astros. Rookie Caleb Durbin will man the keystone and will hit sixth against Astros left-hander Framber Valdez. The Brewers are facing a tough left-hander, but this is the second time in the three-game series that Turang has started on the bench, and manager Pat Murphy said on Monday that the former first-rounder needed a little more rest after missing a game last week with an illness. He's gone 4-for-12 with a double, RBI and a run scored in his first five games of May and is hitting a strong .318/.383/.409 with three long balls, 16 RBI, 29 runs and eight steals in his first 132 at-bats of the season. Durbin won't be a popular DFS pick against Valdez. In his first 18 MLB games, Durbin has hit just .218 (12-for-55) with a homer and 10 RBI.

Brice Turang Getting A Rest Day On Monday

MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports that Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang is absent from the team's starting lineup for Monday's series opener against the visiting Houston Astros at American Family Field. It is just another rest day for Turang after he recently dealt with an illness. Rookie Caleb Durbin will start at the keystone and will hit seventh on Monday against Astros right-hander Ronel Blanco. Turang missed a game last week due to illness but had played in the last four contests. Expect the 25-year-old to be back in action for Game 2 of the series on Tuesday. The former first-rounder has slashed a solid .315/.372/.400 with a .772 OPS, three homers, 16 RBI, 28 runs and eight steals in his first 130 at-bats. Durbin will lack much DFS upside on Monday. The 25-year-old has gone 12-for-50 (.240) with a homer and 10 RBI in his first 16 major-league games.

Brice Turang Back In Action On Thursday

Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Brice Turang (illness) is back at second base and batting in his customary leadoff spot for Thursday's series finale against the hosting Chicago White Sox and right-hander Sean Burke. Turang was scratched from the lineup on Wednesday due to an illness, but he's feeling better a day later and should be returned to all starting lineups in fantasy. The 25-year-old former first-rounder has been one of the most productive second baseman through the first month of the 2025 season, as he enters Thursday's contest in Chicago with a .317/.368/.408 slash line, a .777 OPS, three home runs, 15 RBI, 28 runs scored and eight stolen bases for the Brew Crew in 120 at-bats. In his last seven games, Turang has gone 10-for-29 with a double and four RBI. He has never faced Burke in his MLB career.
