However, if the 6-foot-2 southpaw performs well at Triple-A, expect to see him in the big leagues at some point next year, although his fantasy value may be capped for a bit if the organization remains cautious in its approach.

Hayes noted that the surgery was merely a UCL repair with the inclusion of an internal brace, not a full Tommy John surgery. The 22-year-old is the team's top pitching prospect, per MLB's Prospect Rankings. However, he previously underwent Tommy John surgery in 2021 and has made just two career starts in his professional career. Prielipp still holds a good deal of fantasy value in dynasty leagues, and while a timetable for his recovery is not yet known, fantasy managers should not expect him to pitch again this season.
