Fantasy managers will be glad to get the 32-year-old veteran southpaw back for the first time since he suffered a bone bruise in his left elbow in mid-May, but they'd be wise to keep him on their benches for what will likely be an abbreviated outing on Wednesday against the Bucs. The former seventh overall pick by the San Diego Padres in 2012 won 19 games in his first year in pinstripes in 2025 and was 4-3 with a strong 3.21 ERA (2.71 FIP), 1.00 WHIP, and 50:19 K:BB in 61 2/3 innings over 10 starts before landing on the IL. Fried shouldn't be available on the waiver wire in any fantasy leagues.

Updating a previous report, Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski will make his next start at home this Sunday against the Colorado Rockies, according to Hunter Baumgardt of FOX Sports 920 Milwaukee. Misiorowski will end up taking his normal turn in the starting rotation for the Brew Crew after recently being given extra rest going into and out of last week's All-Star Game due to right-arm fatigue. The 24-year-old flamethrower returned to the mound in Monday's series opener versus the New York Mets and was limited to four innings, allowing an unearned run on four hits while walking one and striking out six. Manager Pat Murphy said that the Miz was getting his legs back under him in his first start since July 7. After a heavy first-half workload, the Brewers will get creative in the second half in limiting his innings so that he's not worn down for the postseason. Despite a potential shorter leash this weekend, Misiorowski will be an absolute must-start in fantasy lineups against Colorado. In his first start against the Rockies at hitter-friendly Coors Field on June 6, Misiorowski allowed an unearned run with three walks and eight strikeouts in seven innings for his seventh win of the year.

Rodriguez is a must-start when active and is currently slashing .256/.320/.417 with a .737 OPS, 14 home runs, 42 RBI, 47 runs, and 12 stolen bases in 90 games across 391 plate appearances in 2026.

Also, the 6-foot-6 hurler has yet to surpass 70 pitches in either of his two starts since returning from the IL, so the pitch count still needs to be built up before a potential debut. If the 24-year-old can right the ship in a hurry, he could become a solid stash option ahead of a possible call-up, but for now, he's best left to the wire in most leagues.

It could become clearer after the trade deadline passes or when rosters expand in September, but in the meantime, the 21-year-old is a speculative stash with upside in deeper 12+ team leagues where an NA spot is available.

He puts the bat on the ball a lot, as evidenced by just a 16.7 percent strikeout rate (79th percentile), and more extra-base hits should be on the way with a barrel rate of 11.2 percent (84th percentile) and a max exit velocity of 113.3 mph (94th percentile). There isn't a clear path to playing time in Milwaukee at the moment, and with the versatility of their roster, Adams could end up in a platoon role, so there isn't much reason to stash him outside of maybe NL-only leagues, but if he were to find his way to regular at-bats in the majors, the power potential could make him a viable waiver wire add.

Minnesota Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers has wasted little time making himself useful again after returning from a fractured left hamate bone. Jeffers is batting .288 with eight home runs, 31 RBI, 27 runs, and a .941 OPS across 139 at-bats this season. Minnesota has started Jeffers in five of its six games since his return, including one at designated hitter. The playing time is not being eased back. Yahoo's 34% rostered mark still leaves him available in nearly two-thirds of leagues, while RotoBaller ranks him fourth among its current waiver-wire catchers and recommends him in 12-team formats. Managers still cycling through the position should make the change.
