Jaison Chourio News
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio (wrist) will miss the remainder of the regular season after breaking his wrist in a diving attempt to catch a fly ball for Single-A Lynchburg on Saturday. The 19-year-old was having a good season for Lynchburg posting a .269-5-58-69-44 line over 98 games, but perhaps most impressive was the fact that he walked much more than he struck out with an 86:69 BB:K, which led to an outstanding .414 OBP. MLB's 70th-ranked prospect will presumably be ready for next season and should push for play at the upper level of the minors, potentially debuting in 2026.

Jaison Chourio Continues Strong Play At Single-A
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio posted a strong .300/.462/.500 slash line with a triple, a home run, three RBI, a 6:4 BB:K ratio, and an eye-catching 11 swiped bags over the past week at Single-A Lynchburg. Chourio stole at least three bases in three games in this span. This was another dominant week Chourio has enjoyed this season, as he now sits with an excellent .277/.402/.411 slash line, four home runs, 52 RBI, 37 stolen bases through 80 games. The 19-year-old has clearly proven he is ready to move up to High-A, and that promotion could be right around the corner. Chourio is showcasing elite potential and could find himself near the top of most prospect rankings come this time next summer.

Jaison Chourio Incredible Through First Half
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio has been incredible at Single-A through the first half of the season and should see time at High-A in the coming weeks. Through 71 games, the 19-year-old has posted a dominant .272/.394/.394 slash line. He has tallied 49 RBI, stole 26 bases, and holds a strong 55:51 BB:K ratio. Despite getting a bit cold in June, the budding superstar still sits with a stellar slash line. Chourio got a brief nine-game stint at Single-A last summer and has proved he is ready to move up to the next level in the minors. MLB Pipeline ranks the switch-hitter as the 85th-best prospect in all of baseball and the third-best in the Cleveland system.

Jaison Chourio Approaching High-A Promotion
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio has been performing very well this season in his second look at Single-A and should be expected to join High-A sometime this summer. Through 45 games with Single-A Lynchburg, the 19-year-old holds a .294/.418/.425 line with three long balls, 30 RBI, 17 stolen bases, and an impressive 35:31 BB:K ratio. He has been exceptionally great in his past 11 games, where he is riding a .356/.404/.556 line with 10 RBI and four swiped bags. Chourio got a taste of Single-A ball last summer but was unproductive through the small nine-game sample size. The number three-ranked prospect in the Cleveland system is producing at a high level this season and could become a name to closely monitor once he is moved up to High-A.

Jaison Chourio Moves Into Top 100
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio moved into the top 100 on MLB.com's most recently updated prospects list. Chourio is having a good season so far at Single-A Lynchburg, slashing .299/.448/.423 over 97 at-bats (27 games), including two home runs, 18 RBI, 12 stolen bases, and an eye-popping 25 walks to just 18 strikeouts as an 18-year-old. At this pace, the switch-hitter should see some Double-A at-bats before the year is out. Dynasty fantasy managers should be keeping a close eye on the ascent of Cleveland's third-ranked prospect, although he probably won't see the majors until sometime in 2025 or 2026 at the earliest.

Jaison Chourio With A Strong Start At Single-A
Cleveland Guardians outfield prospect Jaison Chourio went 1-for-2 with two walks for Single-A Lynchburg on Sunday after going 3-for-5 with two doubles, a home run, four RBI, two runs scored, and a walk on Saturday. The younger brother of Jackson Chourio is now slashing .310/.500/.571 over 12 Single-A games this year, with five doubles, two home runs, 10 RBI, 12 runs scored, and five stolen bases. What's more is that he's got more walks than strikeouts (14:9 BB:K). The 18-year-old is at least a year or so away from the majors, but with a 60-grade hit tool, speed to steal bases, and a keen eye at the plate, dynasty managers should make sure to keep tabs on him. The switch-hitter will likely see some Double-A action before the year is out.
