Jeral Perez Heating Up At High-A

Chicago White Sox infield prospect Jeral Perez has begun to find his swing at High-A. On Wednesday, Perez enjoyed his best game of the young season as he went 2-for-5 with two long balls and brought in three runs. Over his last five games, Perez has posted a strong .273/.333/.727 slash line with one double and three home runs. Prior to this surge, Perez held a modest .230/.333/.525 line over his first 17 games at the level. Last summer, Perez spent all of his time at Low-A, split between Rancho and Kannapolis. Across 105 games, Perez held a .262/.370/.423 slash line with 25 doubles, 12 home runs, and four stolen bases. Fantasy managers should expect the No. 20-ranked prospect on the Southside to spend most of the campaign at High-A.

Jeral Perez Winds Up With White Sox In Big Deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers sent second base prospect Jeral Perez to the Chicago White Sox as part of the three-team deal that included the St. Louis Cardinals. Perez slots in as the No. 13 prospect in the White Sox' system. The 19-year-old has spent this year at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga where he hit .264 with 10 homers and 42 RBI. He is a nice addition to the minor-league ranks for the White Sox. He could progress quickly, although he should be a few years away from making a big-league impact.

Jeral Perez Tallies Three Hits, Four RBI On Wednesday

Los Angeles Dodgers third base prospect Jeral Perez posted another excellent performance at Single-A on Wednesday as he went 3-for-6 with two singles, a home run, and four RBI. In his past seven games, Perez has tallied 10 total hits with a .345 AVG. Through his first extended look at Single-A ball, Perez has held a solid .279/.397/.446 line with nine home runs, 37 RBI, four stolen bases, and a 43:68 BB:K ratio. The 19-year-old only had a brief seven-game stint at Single-A last summer but could be on his way to High-A in the coming weeks as he has proven he is more than ready to progress to the next stop in the minor leagues.
