Jeral Perez Winds Up With White Sox In Big Deal

The Los Angeles Dodgers sent second base prospect Jeral Perez to the Chicago White Sox as part of the three-team deal that included the St. Louis Cardinals. Perez slots in as the No. 13 prospect in the White Sox' system. The 19-year-old has spent this year at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga where he hit .264 with 10 homers and 42 RBI. He is a nice addition to the minor-league ranks for the White Sox. He could progress quickly, although he should be a few years away from making a big-league impact.

Jeral Perez Tallies Three Hits, Four RBI On Wednesday

Los Angeles Dodgers third base prospect Jeral Perez posted another excellent performance at Single-A on Wednesday as he went 3-for-6 with two singles, a home run, and four RBI. In his past seven games, Perez has tallied 10 total hits with a .345 AVG. Through his first extended look at Single-A ball, Perez has held a solid .279/.397/.446 line with nine home runs, 37 RBI, four stolen bases, and a 43:68 BB:K ratio. The 19-year-old only had a brief seven-game stint at Single-A last summer but could be on his way to High-A in the coming weeks as he has proven he is more than ready to progress to the next stop in the minor leagues.
