Tre' Morgan Red-Hot In August

Tampa Bay Rays first base prospect Tre' Morgan is heating up in August for Double-A Montgomery. In his first five games since being promoted to Montgomery, Morgan has hit successfully in each contest. Overall in August between High-A and Double-A, he is hitting .400/.437/.646 with three homers and 18 RBI. The LSU product is the No. 11 prospect for the Rays. The 22-year-old is progressing nicely through the minors and alongside Xavier Isaac makes for a nice tandem of first-base prospects in the Rays' system.

Rays Promote Tre' Morgan To Double-A

The Tampa Bay Rays are promoting first base prospect Tre' Morgan to Double-A Montgomery. Morgan is the Rays No. 11 prospect per MLB Pipeline and Montgomery will now be the third team that he will suit up for this season after opening the season with High-A Charleston before a promotion to High-A Bowling Green. Morgan, 22, isn't the prototypical first baseman as he lacks power, but he makes good contact and gets on base plenty. Between Charleston and Bowling Green, Morgan hit a combined .354 with 21 doubles, eight homers, 55 RBI and 18 stolen bases with a .950 OPS in 297 at-bats. Although he lacks power, Morgan's ability to get on the bases should continue to allow him to ascend through the Rays system. Due to his lack of power, he is only a watch-list candidate in dynasty leagues for now.

Tre' Morgan Riding Seven-Game Hitting Streak

Tampa Bay Rays first base prospect Tre' Morgan has been swinging a hot bat at High-A. Morgan is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak and an overall. 394/.412/.697 line through August with two round-trippers and four doubles. Since moving up to High-A Bowling Green in mid-May, the LSU product has posted a strong .376/.452/.580 line with six home runs, 41 RBI, 10 stolen bases, and a 24:17 BB:K ratio. Morgan opened the campaign by getting his second look at Single-A ball and held a .320/.398/.440 line through 26 games. Morgan is a name to keep a close eye on in dynasty formats but remains several seasons away from his major league debut.

Tre' Morgan Racking Up Hits In High-A

Tampa Bay Rays outfield prospect Tre' Morgan has been swinging a hot bat for High-A Bowling Green. Over his past two games, Morgan has collected back-to-back, four-hit performances. Morgan, 21, opened the season in Single-A Charleston, but has split his season between there and Bowling Green. Between both levels, Morgan has hit a combined .354 with 16 doubles, four homers, 36 RBI and 15 stolen bases. Morgan doesn't have the prototypical power of a traditional first baseman, but he provides a good eye at the plate and excellent defense. Outside of dynasty leagues. Morgan can be ignored for now as he is likely to be better real-life asset than fantasy asset moving forward.
