Ousmane Dieng  • SF

Ousmane Dieng is Heading to Free Agency

Milwaukee Bucks forward Ousmane Dieng will be heading to free agency after the team declined to extend a qualifying offer to him. According to Michael Scotto, Dieng will become an unrestricted free agent after this decision by the Bucks. The 23-year-old began his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder, but was traded mid-season. He averaged 11.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists across 26.9 minutes per game in 30 games with the Bucks this past season. The Bucks are reportedly interested in bringing back Dieng, but we'll see what happens in free agency. His overall fantasy value will be dependent on where he ends up signing.

Brook Lopez  • C  •  Clippers

Brook Lopez is Remaining with the Clippers

Los Angeles Clippers center Brook Lopez is returning to the team next season. On Monday, the Clippers picked up the $9.2 million team option on Lopez's contract. Lopez took over the starting center gig after the team traded Ivica Zubac mid-season. The veteran big man averaged 8.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists across 21.8 minutes per game in 75 contests last season. Given his age and possible regression, the Clippers are likely going to add another center to the mix during the offseason. Lopez should remain in the rotation for around 20 minutes, but his fantasy value will be dependent on what the Clippers do in free agency.

Neemias Queta is Returning to the Celtics

Boston Celtics center Neemias Queta will be back with the organization after his team option was picked up on Monday. This was a no-brainer for the Celtics after Queta posted strong numbers with the Celtics this past season. He averaged 10.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks across 25.3 minutes per game in 76 contests. Depending on what the Celtics do this offseason, Queta could be in line for the starting center role next season. If they do add someone, Queta should still play a similar role, which should mean he'll be a viable fantasy contributor.

Jordan Miller  • SF  •  Clippers

Jordan Miller Receives Qualifying Offer

Los Angeles Clippers forward Jordan Miller has been extended a qualifying offer from the organization. The Clippers have decided to decline Miller's team option, but he could still stick around in Los Angeles. This past season, Miller averaged a career-high 10.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.3 assists across 22.1 minutes per game in 60 contests. The 26-year-old finally got a chance to play decent minutes and showed he can be a consistent scoring option. If Miller stays with the Clippers, his role would likely expand, assuming the Clippers do trade Kawhi Leonard. Otherwise, Miller's overall fantasy value will be dependent on where he ends up in free agency.

GG Jackson II Sticking with Grizzlies

Memphis Grizzlies guard GG Jackson II will remain with the organization for this upcoming season. On Monday, the Grizzlies exercised Jackson's $2.4 million team option for the 2026-2027 season. This seemed like a smart decision by the Grizzlies to bring back Jackson on a cheap team-friendly deal. This past season, Jackson averaged 12.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists across 21.4 minutes per game in 55 contests. The expectation is that Jackson will continue to have a similar role in the rotation this upcoming season. His spot in the rotation could change depending on what the Grizzlies do in free agency, but he should stay involved regardless.

Dominick Barlow has Team Option Picked up

Philadelphia 76ers forward Dominick Barlow will be back with the organization next season. On Monday, the Sixers exercised Barlow's $3.42 million team option for the 2026-2027 season. This was a no-brainer for the Sixers with Barlow coming off the best season of his career. He averaged 7.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 23.8 minutes per game across 71 contests this past season. The 23-year-old has bounced around during his young career, but appears to have found a good home in Philly. He figures to take on an expanded role next season after posting solid numbers this past season.

Harrison Barnes Plans to Return to Spurs

Free agent forward Harrison Barnes intends to sign a one-year, $8 million deal to stay with the San Antonio Spurs, per Shams Charania of ESPN. Barnes will return for his third season in San Antonio, providing the Spurs with a continued veteran presence in the frontcourt. The 34-year-old averaged 25.8 minutes per contest across 77 games last regular season, but his minutes were reduced during the postseason, and he was a healthy scratch in each of San Antonio's last three games against New York in the NBA Finals.

Kristaps Porzingis Re-Signs With Warriors

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Golden State Warriors re-signed center Kristaps Porzingis to a two-year, $40 million contract on Monday. The Latvian big man will stay put after being traded from the Hawks ahead of last season's trade deadline. His new contract includes a player option for the second season. As a Warrior, Porzingis played in 15 regular-season contests last campaign, averaging 16.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 blocks in 23.7 minutes per game.

Kevin Huerter Intends to Return to Pistons

Detroit Pistons guard/forward Kevin Huerter intends to sign a three-year, $27 million deal to return to the Detroit Pistons. Huerter was dealt from Chicago to Detroit before last campaign's trade deadline. Across 25 games with the Pistons, he averaged 8.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.1 steals in 20.5 minutes per appearance. The 27-year-old will have to battle for playing time with Daniss Jenkins, Caris LeVert, Marcus Sasser, and Isaiah Joe, whom the Pistons just added by trade.

Bennedict Mathurin  • SG  •  Clippers

Bennedict Mathurin Tendered a Qualifying Offer

According to Michael Scotto of USA Today, the Los Angeles Clippers tendered guard/forward Bennedict Mathurin a qualifying offer on Monday. The move makes the 24-year-old a restricted free agent, allowing the Clippers to match any contract offer he receives from another team. Mathurin joined the Clippers following last season's Ivica Zubac trade. In 26 games with Los Angeles, he averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 28.0 minutes per contest.

Daniss Jenkins  • PG  •  Pistons

Pistons Exercise Team Option For Daniss Jenkins

The Detroit Pistons have picked up the $4 million team option for guard Daniss Jenkins, according to Spotrac's Keith Smith. The 24-year-old began the 2025-26 season on a two-way contract, eventually earning a standard contract in February. He was then named a starter for the final three games of Detroit's postseason run, scoring double digits in each contest. Ultimately, Jenkins averaged 9.3 points and 3.9 assists in 20.2 minutes per game during the regular season. The Pistons seem to like Jenkins more as a scoring option off the bench, as the team is rumored to be seeking more shooting to start alongside Cade Cunningham.

Jusuf Nurkic Plans to Remain in Utah

According to Shams Charania of ESPN, free agent center Jusuf Nurkic intends to sign a two-year, $22 million contract to return to the Utah Jazz. Nurkic became a full-time starter last season after Walker Kessler (shoulder) underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn left labrum. The 31-year-old averaged 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals in 26.4 minutes per contest in 41 regular-season appearances (36 starts). He missed the final two months of the season after undergoing nose surgery in mid-February, but he should be ready to go by training camp.

Kris Murray  • PF  •  Grizzlies

Kris Murray Traded to Memphis

Forward Kris Murray is being traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the Ja Morant deal, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Murray and Jerami Grant were the return for the former All-Pro guard. Murray, a first-round pick in 2023, failed to make much of an impact in his three seasons in Portland. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 23.4 minutes per game last season. However, he's in the final year of his cheap rookie contract ($3.57 million per year) and can provide good wing bench depth for a young Memphis squad.

Jerami Grant Headed to Memphis

Veteran forward Jerami Grant is being traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the trade for guard Ja Morant, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. Forward Kris Murray is also joining the Grizzlies. Grant has struggled with injuries the past few seasons, averaging 52 appearances over the last three seasons, but continued to bring scoring inside and out. The 32-year-old averaged 18.6 points on 38.9% shooting from deep for what was ultimately his final season with the Trail Blazers. His role in Memphis is unclear, to say the least. The Grizzlies drafted Cameron Boozer, traded for Isaiah Stewart, and have $17.5 million per year tied up in Santi Aldama.

Thunder Pick Up Team Option For Luguentz Dort

The Oklahoma City Thunder have picked up the $17.7 million team option for forward Luguentz Dort, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The transaction keeps Dort with the Thunder, the only team he's played for in his professional career. There was some uncertainty about Dort's future with the franchise due to salary cap concerns and a down statistical season. The 27-year-old shot 38.5% from the field and 34.4% from three last season, averaging just 8.3 points. However, the Thunder's front office traded away wings Aaron Wiggins and Isaiah Joe, further opening the door for another year with Dort.

Julian Champagnie Inks New Deal to Stay With San Antonio

The San Antonio Spurs have declined the $3 million team option for Julian Champagnie, only to re-sign the forward to a new three-year, $45 million contract, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The formerly undrafted 25-year-old permanently moved into San Antonio's starting lineup during the regular season and added important spacing around center Victor Wembanyama, knocking down 38.1% of his three-point attempts. That led to career-best marks in points (11.1) and rebounds (5.8). He's also durable, playing all 82 games in back-to-back seasons. Now locked in to a long-term deal, Champagnie figures to continue starting for San Antonio next season.

Landry Shamet Signs New Deal With New York

New York Knicks guard Landry Shamet is staying with the team after signing a new four-year, $24 million contract, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The 29-year-old was a training camp invitee who earned a veteran-minimum deal before becoming a key part of the championship roster. Shamet averaged 9.3 points on 39.7% shooting from downtown in 23 minutes per game during the regular season last year. The new deal keeps most of the championship nucleus together, with Mitchell Robinson being the lone question mark on the eve of the free agency window opening.

Jonathan Kuminga  • PF

Hawks Decline Team Option For Jonathan Kuminga

Atlanta Hawks forward Jonathan Kuminga is becoming an unrestricted free agent following the team's decision to decline his $24.3 million team option, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. That was a hefty price tag for a player who averaged 12.3 points in 22.1 minutes in 16 regular-season appearances with the Hawks, but it doesn't necessarily mean he won't stay with Atlanta. Kuminga is entering his sixth season in the NBA, but hasn't secured a consistent role thus far. Still, he's only 23 years old and proved that he can provide a scoring punch off the bench.

Ja Morant Dealt to Portland, Ending Lengthy Trade Speculation

Point guard Ja Morant's time in Memphis has come to an end, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The guard has been traded to Portland for forwards Jerami Grant and Kris Murray. It's a small return for the 26-year-old former All-NBA selection, but it ends months of trade speculation, including ESPN's Brian Windhorst calling him "flagrantly available" in trade discussions. Morant fell out of favor in Memphis after multiple off-the-court concerns and availability issues. He has suited up for 79 games total over the last three seasons. Still, there is plenty of upside, as the former second-overall pick averaged 19.5 points and 8.1 assists on 28.5 minutes per game during his limited appearances last season. Morant joins a crowded Portland backcourt, which could signal that one of the holdovers from last season (Jrue Holiday, Scoot Henderson, and Shaedon Sharpe) could soon be on the move.

Devin Carter  • PG  •  Hawks

Devin Carter Dealt to Atlanta

Sacramento Kings guard Devin Carter is being traded to Atlanta, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The Hawks are also picking up a second-round pick, although it's unclear if there are any other pieces to the deal. Carter, entering his third season in the NBA, joins a lengthy list of lottery selections by the Kings that didn't pan out. The 24-year-old averaged 8.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 18.4 minutes per game last season. Atlanta drafted guard Kingston Flemings with the eighth overall pick in this year's draft and retained CJ McCollum, so there doesn't seem to be a spot in the rotation for Carter next season.
