DaQuan Jones News
Veteran defensive lineman DaQuan Jones agreed to a two-year, $16 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport. The 32-year-old has spent the last two seasons with Buffalo after one year with the Carolina Panthers and seven years with the Tennessee Titans. He missed 10 games last year with a pectoral injury but still posted his highest sack total (2.5) since 2018 (3.5). He is the team's run-stuffing defensive tackle in the middle of Sean McDermott's defense, and he's now locked up for two more seasons.
Buffalo Bills defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (pectoral) was designated to return from Injured Reserve on Tuesday, opening his 21-day practice window. Buffalo will now have to activate him from IR over the next three weeks for him to be eligible to play. Jones suffered a significant pectoral injury in Week 6 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and has been sidelined ever since. The 32-year-old racked up ten tackles and 2.5 sacks before being forced out of action. With the Bills looking like a playoff team in recent weeks, his return to the lineup could be a huge boost to the front seven of Sean McDermott's defense in critical games down the stretch.
The Buffalo Bills placed defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (pectoral) on Injured Reserve on Wednesday, so he'll have to miss at least the next four games. Head coach Sean McDermott told reporters that "the door hasn't been shut" on Jones potentially returning this year. Linebacker Baylor Spector (hamstring) was designated to return from Injured Reserve. McDermott also said that Jones will need surgery for the pectoral injury that he suffered in Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London in Week 5. The Bills defense took some hits last week with the losses of Jones and linebacker Matt Milano (leg), who was also put on Injured Reserve. The Bills expect Milano to have a shot at returning this season, too.
