Rams
Buffalo Bills defensive back Rasul Douglas (knee, back) was forced from his team's 44-42 loss to the Los Angeles Rams twice on Sunday. Late in the third quarter, Douglas left the outing after a Rams scoring play with a back injury but was cleared to return and did so the next time he was needed. However, ESPN's Alaina Getzenberg reports that the 30-year-old was again forced from the contest -- this time with a knee injury. He did not reenter the game. Before exiting, the veteran racked up six tackles (four solo). It appears the back injury won't be an issue moving forward, but the knee ailment he picked up could be a problem. Expect an update on its severity over the next few days as Buffalo begins their prep for a Week 15 road tilt against the Detroit Lions.

Rasul Douglas, Tyrel Dodson Practicing Wednesday
Buffalo Bills cornerback Rasul Douglas (knee) and linebacker Tyrel Dodson (shoulder) will practice in some capacity on Wednesday. It's good news for both players, but the Bills defense is still incredibly beat up ahead of the Divisional Round meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday. Cornerback Christian Benford (knee), linebacker Terrel Bernard (ankle), safety Taylor Rapp (calf) and linebacker Baylon Spector (back) all missed practice on Wednesday. Cornerback Taron Johnson (concussion) was limited. The 28-year-old has been Buffalo's top cornerback since he was acquired in a trade from the Green Bay Packers, but he injured his knee in Week 18 and was inactive for Monday's wild-card playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. It remains to be seen which Bills defenders will be able to play this weekend, but either way, Buffalo's defense could be thin on impact starters against KC.

Rasul Douglas, Tyrel Dodson Inactive Against Steelers
Buffalo Bills cornerback Rasul Douglas (knee) and linebacker Tyrel Dodson (shoulder) are officially inactive for the AFC wild-card contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday. Douglas missed last week's game against the Miami Dolphins with a knee injury and still isn't ready to go. Dodson exited the Week 18 win over Miami with a shoulder injury. Down two defensive starters, Buffalo's defense could be downgraded, but Mason Rudolph and Pittsburgh don't pose much of a threat in the passing game, especially in the frigid temperatures in Orchard Park. Dotson, who posted 74 tackles in 17 games this season, could be the bigger loss as the Bills try to limit Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren in what is likely to be a physical game at the line of scrimmage.

Rasul Douglas Sits Out Of Practice
Buffalo Bills cornerback Rasul Douglas (knee) did not participate in practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday during their walkthrough. Douglas injured his knee in the team's big Week 18 divisional win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday night to take the AFC East title and earn the No. 2 seed for the postseason. The 29-year-old is currently up in the air to play in Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers unless he can get in some practice sessions on Thursday and Friday. Douglas began the year with the Green Bay Packers and played seven games with them before joining the Bills. In his nine games (eight starts) for Buffalo, he has recorded 29 tackles (21 solo), a sack, four interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), eight passes defensed and two fumble recoveries.

Rasul Douglas Considered Questionable To Return Against Dolphins
Buffalo Bills conerback Rasul Douglas (knee) left Sunday night's game in the second quarter against the Miami Dolphins with a knee issue. He's officially considered questionable to return to the game. When it rains, it pours for the Bills. Douglas left the game after Gabe Davis (knee) and Tyrel Dodson (shoulder) both left the game and are also considered questionable to return. The Bills acquired Douglas halfway through the season in a trade with the Green Bay Packers and has since gathered one interception, one fumble recovery, and 32 combined tackles (26 solo). Stay tuned for more updates on his status for the rest of the game.

Rasul Douglas Traded To Bills
The Green Bay Packers traded veteran cornerback Rasul Douglas to the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday. Douglas will strengthen the Buffalo secondary after Tre'Davious White was lost for the season with a torn Achilles in Week 4 as they look to make a deep run in the playoffs this season. The Packers will ship off a 2024 fifth-round pick along with Douglas in return for a 2024 third-round pick from the Bills. Douglas will be playing for his seventh team since being selected in the third round of the 2017 NFL draft.

Packers Give Rasul Douglas A Three-Year Deal
The Green Bay Packers agreed to a three-year, $21 million deal worth up to $25.5 million with free-agent cornerback Rasul Douglas on Saturday, according to a source. The Packers picked Douglas up off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad in October of last year, and he went on to make 57 tackles (52 solo), a career-high five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and 13 passes defensed in 12 games (nine starts) for Green Bay. The 26-year-old was tied for fourth in the NFL in interceptions and was tied for 15th in pass breakups, proving to be an impact player for the team down the stretch. Douglas earned his new contract and will open the 2022 season as a starting member of the secondary.

Packers Might Not Be Able To Afford Rasul Douglas
Green Bay Packers impending free-agent cornerback Rasul Douglas was one of the NFL's breakout stars last year, but Spotrac projects him to earn $9 million per year on his next deal, and the Packers probably can't afford that given their salary cap situation. Even if Douglas walks in free agency, Green Bay should be fine at outside cornerback with Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes for the foreseeable future. Douglas said it wouldn't cost much more than he made last season (less than $1 million) to keep him, but his agent probably thinks otherwise. The 27-year-old posted 57 tackles (52 solo), five interceptions (two for touchdowns), 13 passes defensed and one forced fumble in 12 regular season games (nine starts) in 2021.
