Broncos Sign Fabian Moreau On Tuesday

The Denver Broncos signed free-agent veteran cornerback Fabian Moreau to an undisclosed one-year deal on Tuesday, according to a source. Moreau, who worked out for the Miami Dolphins recently, lands with the Broncos after appearing in 14 games (11 starts) for the New York Giants in 2022. The 29-year-old finished with 66 tackles (50 solo) and 10 passes defensed in his time with the G-Men last year. The former third-round pick of the Washington Commanders in 2017 out of UCLA will compete for a starting role in training camp with the Broncos across from first-rounder Patrick Surtain. In his six NFL seasons, Moreau has 252 tackles (178 solo), six interceptions, 35 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

He recorded 61 tackles and 11 passes defended in 16 games last season. The 28-year-old was signed by the Houston Texans in May, but released by the organization in August. Texans Signing Cornerback Fabian Moreau

The Houston Texans are signing cornerback Fabian Moreau, according to a source. The former third-round pick from the Washington Commanders in 2017, Moreau spent last year with the Atlanta Falcons. The 28-year-old recorded 61 tackles (44 solo) with three tackles for loss and one fumble recovery in 16 games with Atlanta. He added 11 passes defended but failed to record an interception. Moreau is currently listed behind cornerbacks Steven Nelson and No. 3 overall pick Derek Stingley Jr. out of LSU on the depth chart, but gives the 31st ranked defense from last year some additional depth at the position.
