Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel (ankle), who is coming off a serious ankle injury that required surgery in November, has been slowly taking part in organized team activities but is still not 100 percent healthy. Samuel, a second-rounder in 2017, is likely competing for the third receiver spot behind Devin Funchess and first-rounder D.J. Moore this year. He's still a more attractive dynasty asset than redraft target.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel (ankle) saw limited work in organized team activities on Tuesday, and his rehab has gone very well to this point. "That was good to see. We increased some of his team reps early on and then shut him down. Hopefully tomorrow we can increase a little more or do the same thing," head coach Ron Rivera said. Samuel is coming along nicely and should be ready for training camp this summer. He caught just 15 passes for 115 yards and no touchdowns in nine games in his rookie season. Samuel will have a tough hill to climb for consistent production in his sophomore season, too, especially after Carolina added Torrey Smith and rookie DJ Moore to the picture behind Devin Funchess.

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Curtis Samuel (ankle) is taking part in organized team activities as he continues to rehab his ankle. Samuel is making good progress after hauling in just 15 passes for 115 yards and no touchdowns in nine games in his rookie season. The second-round pick has an uphill battle for consistent targets in a passing game that upgraded in the offseason with free agents Torrey Smith and Jarius Wright. The Panthers also selected wideout DJ Moore in the draft.
