Gardner Minshew News
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew put together a strong performance to lead the Colts to a 31-28 overtime win against the Tennessee Titans. Minshew completed 26 of his 42 attempts for 312 yards, throwing touchdowns to both wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce. Minshew took decent care of the ball, throwing no interceptions but he did lose one of his two fumbles on the day. Minshew remains primarily a streaming option, but the fifth-year man can be started in some lineups in Week 14 when the Colts square off against the Cincinnati Bengals
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew put together a decent fantasy performance in the team's 27-20 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12. Minshew completed 24 of his 41 attempts for 251 yards and an interception, but the main catalyst behind his fantasy points came from his two-yard rushing touchdown. Minshew has only run the ball an average of two times in his nine starts this season, so it's not something fantasy managers will be able to bank on moving forward. In addition, he also has not thrown for a touchdown in his last two starts. He now faces a fairly weak Tennessee secondary, but the Titans have still made for an average matchup against fantasy quarterbacks allowing the 16th most points to the position. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues needing a spot-starter given bye weeks can look to start Minshew as a low-ceiling QB1. Aside from that, Minshew should only be started in QB2/Superflex leagues.
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Gardner Minshew has had a streak of underwhelming fantasy performances. Most recently was in Week 10 when Minshew threw 18 completions on 24 attempts for 194 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the team's 10-6 win against the New England Patriots. While Minshew has been a solid game manager for the Colts, he hasn't had a ton of fantasy upside to go along with it. That could change in Week 12 when the Colts square off against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This season, the Bucs' defense has allowed the fourth-most points to opposing fantasy QBs, as well as allowing the second-most passing yards. In a game that has shootout potential, Minshew may be the beneficiary. Minshew should be started in all 2QB/Superflex formats but does carry some potential as a spot starter in 1QB leagues as well.
