Hunter Long News
Working in Los Angeles Rams tight end Hunter Long's favor is the fact that Tyler Higbee (knee) probably isn't going to be ready for the start of the 2024 regular season. That lone could land Long a spot on the 53-man roster to open the year if Higbee starts on the Physically Unable to Perform list. However, the Rams added Colby Parkinson in the offseason and love the potential of Davis Allen. If one of Nikola Kalinic or Neal Johnson emerges in training camp and the preseason, Long could be out of a roster spot. The 25-year-old finished last year on Injured Reserve after having surgery on his MCL but he was taking part in organized team activities this offseason and should be ready to go this fall. In just four games played in 2023, Long wasn't targeted at all while playing 54 offensive snaps for the Rams.

Hunter Long Ruled Out For Week 1
Los Angeles Rams tight end Hunter Long (hamstring) was ruled out for Week 1 against the Seattle Seahawks. Long was sent to the Rams this offseason in the blockbuster deal for cornerback Jalen Ramsey. But Los Angeles hasn't seen much from the tight end due to multiple injuries this summer. Long spent his first two NFL seasons with the Miami Dolphins, where he has one career catch for eight yards. When he returns from his hamstring issue, he shouldn't be on fantasy radars.

Hunter Long Passes Physical, Removed From PUP List
Los Angeles Rams tight end Hunter Long (undisclosed) passed his physical on Saturday and has been removed from the physically unable to perform list, according to Field Yates of ESPN.com. There had been speculation that Long would open the season on the PUP list, so this transaction is quite noteworthy. The 25-year-old was acquired from the Dolphins in this offseason's Jalen Ramsey trade after playing in 16 games and catching just one pass over the course of his first two years in the NFL. He's not on the fantasy radar.

Hunter Long Finds End Zone In Preseason Finale
Miami Dolphins tight end Hunter Long hauled in two of three targets for 24 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's preseason finale against the Philadelphia Eagles. Long caught just one pass as a rookie last season and should open 2022 as the Dolphins' No. 3 tight end behind Mike Gesicki and Durham Smythe. For the time being, he's not on the fantasy radar.

Hunter Long Returned To Practice On Thursday
Miami Dolphins tight end Hunter Long (knee) was able to return to the practice field on Thursday. He was carted off the field a few weeks ago after getting shoved while making a catch out of bounds. Surprisingly, Long returned on Thursday and was doing team drills in front of reporters. The third round pick finished with 57 receptions during his final season at Boston College. Everyone knows that Mike Gesicki is the top tight end in Miami. However, it's certainly open to debate who is going to be starting alongside him. Long isn't someone that needs to be drafted right now. Although, his status should be monitored as he could quickly become an asset in fantasy leagues if the preseason goes well for him.

Hunter Long Signs Four-Year Deal With Dolphins
Miami Dolphins tight end Hunter Long has signed a four-year deal with the organization. That means, the Dolphins have only one draft pick left unsigned as they begin training camp. Long is a third-round pick of the Dolphins who put together 57 receptions during his final season at Boston College. He could develop into a starter, but should be a reliable blocker. It's uncertain if Mike Gesicki is in the Dolphins future plans with no extension in sight. Long probably won't fill up the stat sheet, but could be a low-risk stash in dynasty leagues.

Dolphins Draft Hunter Long
With the 81st pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins have selected Boston College tight end Hunter Long. Long had 57 catches for 685 yards and five touchdowns last season and was one of the top receiving tight ends in college football. But the Dolphins already have Mike Gesicki at tight end, making this a bit of a strange fit for Long. Still, he's an underrated blocker who can help them move the chains. That's not a great profile when it comes to fantasy, but Long will have a nice impact on this Dolphins team, even if it doesn't necessarily show up on the stat sheet.
