Titans Re-Sign James Lynch

The Tennessee Titans have re-signed defensive tackle James Lynch to a one-year deal, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Lynch, a Baylor product, was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He was a depth contributor with the Vikings for three seasons but missed his contract year due to a torn ACL. Lynch landed with the Titans for the 2024 season, during which he amassed 20 tackles, two sacks, and two passes defended. He hasn't started a game since 2022, but the Titans' decision to re-sign him indicates that they value him as a key piece of their defensive core.

Vikings Draft Defensive Tackle James Lynch

With the 130th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings selected Baylor defensive tackle James Lynch. The junior had 41 tackles last season and showed huge improvement in his ability to get into the backfield, finishing with 13.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for losses. With Linval Joseph gone, Minnesota needed to add talent on the interior of the defensive line, and Lynch definitely has talent. Hes not the most athletic defender and might not play a ton immediately, but he was a productive college player who could rotate in right off the bat.
