Devin Bush Signing With Browns On Thursday

Free-agent linebacker Devin Bush is signing a one-year deal with the Cleveland Browns, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The 25-year-old was the No. 10 overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has struggled to hit the ground running during his five-year career. Between four seasons with Pittsburgh and one season with the Seattle Seahawks, Bush has totaled 323 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, 13 passes defended, and 24 run stuffs in 65 games. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and the newly-signed Jordan Hicks are likely locked-in starters for Cleveland at inside linebacker, so Bush will be competing for a backup job this offseason. He is not on the IDP fantasy radar for now.

Devin Bush Signs With Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have signed free-agent linebacker Devin Bush. The two sides have agreed to a one-year deal. The former first round pick has spent each of the last four seasons as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He recorded 100 tackles his rookie season, but went down after five games during his sophomore campaign due to an ACL tear. He hasn't made the same impact since, but is still a quality linebacker. The expectation is that Bush will be a starter in Seattle and give his defensive unit a boost.

Devin Bush Placed On COVID-19 List

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush was the latest Steelers player to land on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. Bush is the team's starting inside linebacker, so the Steelers atrocious run defense could be even more compromised in Week 16 against the powerful Kansas City Chiefs offense. The 10th overall pick of the 2019 draft had one of his better games of the year in the Week 15 win over the Tennessee Titans, recording five tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed. The Steelers could also be missing inside linebacker Marcus Allen, who is also on the COVID-19 list. Fantasy managers should be looking to fade the Steelers defense/special teams this weekend, even if Chiefs playmakers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce miss the game due to COVID.

Devin Bush, Joe Haden Inactive For Steelers Defense

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush (groin) and cornerback Joe Haden (groin) are inactive for Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Defensive tackle Carlos Davis (knee) has also been ruled out. With Bush out, Robert Spillane will start at linebacker, and James Pierre is expected to replace Haden at cornerback. It's a notable development on the defensive side of the ball for Pittsburgh, especially after the Raiders offense looked very capable against a strong defense in the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. The Steelers defense/special teams still remains in play as a starting defensive unit for fantasy managers this weekend, but keep in mind that they are down two starters.

Devin Bush To Have Season-Ending Surgery Wednesday

Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that linebacker Devin Bush (knee) will undergo surgery to fix his torn ACL on Wednesday. Bush will miss the remainder of the 2020 season. It's a big blow to the Steelers Defense, as the No. 10 overall pick from 2019 had been a big contributor in the middle of the field. The 22-year-old had 26 tackles (16 solo), two QB hits, three passes defensed and one sack in five games this season after recording 109 combined tackles, two interceptions, four passes defensed and four fumble recoveries in a very productive rookie season in 2019. The loss of Bush will be something to watch moving forward, as Pittsburgh's defense has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to running backs this year. It's good news for Titans running back Derrick Henry in the Week 7 showdown of two unbeaten teams.

Devin Bush Could Have A Serious Knee Injury

Pittsburgh Steelers second-year linebacker Devin Bush (knee) suffered a knee injury in the team's 38-7 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. After the game, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin revealed that Bush's injury could be something serious, potentially a torn ACL, which would cause him to miss the rest of the season. He is slated to get an MRI tonight. The 5-0 Steelers have a strong defensive unit, but losing Bush for a significant amount of time would be tough.

Steelers Draft Devin Bush At No. 10 Overall

The Pittsburgh Steelers traded up with the Broncos and selected Michigan linebacker Devin Bush with the No. 10 overall pick of the 2019 NFL draft. The Steelers had trouble defending tight ends and the middle of the football field last year, so the inside linebacker will help with that immediately in 2019. Bush is an excellent tackler and runs downhill toward the line of scrimmage. Pound for pound, he could become the best player in this draft.
