Devin Bush News
Free-agent linebacker Devin Bush is signing a one-year deal with the Cleveland Browns, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. The 25-year-old was the No. 10 overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers, but he has struggled to hit the ground running during his five-year career. Between four seasons with Pittsburgh and one season with the Seattle Seahawks, Bush has totaled 323 tackles, four sacks, two forced fumbles, two interceptions, 13 passes defended, and 24 run stuffs in 65 games. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and the newly-signed Jordan Hicks are likely locked-in starters for Cleveland at inside linebacker, so Bush will be competing for a backup job this offseason. He is not on the IDP fantasy radar for now.
The Seattle Seahawks have signed free-agent linebacker Devin Bush. The two sides have agreed to a one-year deal. The former first round pick has spent each of the last four seasons as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He recorded 100 tackles his rookie season, but went down after five games during his sophomore campaign due to an ACL tear. He hasn't made the same impact since, but is still a quality linebacker. The expectation is that Bush will be a starter in Seattle and give his defensive unit a boost.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush was the latest Steelers player to land on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. Bush is the team's starting inside linebacker, so the Steelers atrocious run defense could be even more compromised in Week 16 against the powerful Kansas City Chiefs offense. The 10th overall pick of the 2019 draft had one of his better games of the year in the Week 15 win over the Tennessee Titans, recording five tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed. The Steelers could also be missing inside linebacker Marcus Allen, who is also on the COVID-19 list. Fantasy managers should be looking to fade the Steelers defense/special teams this weekend, even if Chiefs playmakers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce miss the game due to COVID.
