Devin Bush News
The Seattle Seahawks have signed free-agent linebacker Devin Bush. The two sides have agreed to a one-year deal. The former first round pick has spent each of the last four seasons as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He recorded 100 tackles his rookie season, but went down after five games during his sophomore campaign due to an ACL tear. He hasn't made the same impact since, but is still a quality linebacker. The expectation is that Bush will be a starter in Seattle and give his defensive unit a boost.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush was the latest Steelers player to land on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Wednesday. Bush is the team's starting inside linebacker, so the Steelers atrocious run defense could be even more compromised in Week 16 against the powerful Kansas City Chiefs offense. The 10th overall pick of the 2019 draft had one of his better games of the year in the Week 15 win over the Tennessee Titans, recording five tackles (three solo) and a pass defensed. The Steelers could also be missing inside linebacker Marcus Allen, who is also on the COVID-19 list. Fantasy managers should be looking to fade the Steelers defense/special teams this weekend, even if Chiefs playmakers Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce miss the game due to COVID.
Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Devin Bush (groin) and cornerback Joe Haden (groin) are inactive for Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Defensive tackle Carlos Davis (knee) has also been ruled out. With Bush out, Robert Spillane will start at linebacker, and James Pierre is expected to replace Haden at cornerback. It's a notable development on the defensive side of the ball for Pittsburgh, especially after the Raiders offense looked very capable against a strong defense in the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. The Steelers defense/special teams still remains in play as a starting defensive unit for fantasy managers this weekend, but keep in mind that they are down two starters.
