He has now started 17 regular-season games in three straight years and has 100-plus total tackles in four straight seasons. Edwards should once again be an every-week starting IDP linebacker in 2025 as long as he stays healthy.

Edwards spent the first four seasons of his career with the Eagles and put up a career-high 159 tackles (99 solo), two sacks, 10 tackles for loss, five QB hits, seven passes defensed and a fumble recovery in 17 regular season starts in 2022. The former undrafted free agent also had 100-plus tackles in 2021 and will help form one of the better linebacking duos in Chicago after the Bears also signed Tremaine Edmunds in free agency on Monday. In the Windy City, the 26-year-old could move to the weak side.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed linebacker T.J. Edwards to a one-year contract extension worth up to $3.2 million with $2.15 million fully guaranteed on Monday. The Eagles held Edwards' rights for the 2022 season with the non-guaranteed restricted free-agent tender. He was named as a starter four weeks ago and has 44 tackles, three tackles for loss, one interception, three passes defensed and a QB hit since then. The 25-year-old has recorded double-digit tackles in three of his last four games and had 10 tackles (seven solo), an interception and a fumble recovery in the Week 11 win over the New Orleans Saints. Overall, he has 76 tackles (38 solo) and a sack in 11 games (nine starts). Edwards is quickly rising up the IDP rankings.
