Kwity Paye News
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye has not been an ultra-productive sack artist since entering the league as the No. 21 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Michigan, but his goal is to reach at least double-digit sacks in 2024. "I had (4.0) sacks as a rookie, (6.0) as a sophomore, and now 8.5 in my third season," Paye told the Draft Network's Justin Melo recently. "I definitely want to get at least 10.5 sacks this year. I'm really shooting for 12-15 sacks, but double digits is the goal at the end of the day. I have to get there this year." Paye has gotten better every season and is playing on a talented defensive front, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities. Through his first 43 NFL games, the 25-year-old has compiled 129 tackles, 18.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and one pass deflection.

Kwity Paye, Tyquan Lewis Both Return In Week 10
Indianapolis Colts defensive ends Kwity Paye (hamstring) and Tyquan Lewis (calf) both returned to Sunday's game against the New England Patriots. They had been listed as questionable after departing with their respective injuries in the opening quarter. Dayo Odeyingbo earned more snaps in their absence but could remain on the field following an impressive first half in which he tallied three sacks.

Kwity Paye, Tyquan Lewis Questionable To Return
Indianapolis Colts defensive ends Kwity Paye (hamstring) and Tyquan Lewis (calf) are questionable to return versus the New England Patriots on Sunday. Both players exited in the first quarter with concerning injuries. Paye found the stat sheet prior to his departure, tallying three tackles and half a sack. Jake Martin and Dayo Odeyingbo should see more snaps until Paye and Lewis are able to return.

Kwity Paye Won't Return On Sunday
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye (ankle) won't return against the Las Vegas Raiders. The 23-year-old, who was questionable heading into this one, suffered another ankle injury. Paye entered Week 10 fresh off an eight-tackle, one-sack performance against the Patriots. However, he was quiet on Sunday. Nonetheless, there's a chance he won't play in Week 11 against Philadelphia, so fantasy managers should plan accordingly.

Kwity Paye To Return, Shaquille Leonard To Be On Snap Count
Indianapolis Colts head coach Frank Reich said that defensive end Kwity Paye (ankle) will return in Week 9 against the New England Patriots from a high-ankle sprain that he suffered in Week 5. Star linebacker Shaquille Leonard (back) will also remain on a pitch count on Sunday as he continues to work his way back from offseason back surgery. The three-time first-team All-Pro played just 24 defensive snaps last week. Starting left tackle Dennis Kelly (ankle, calf) will be a game-time decision on Sunday. Getting Paye back from a three-game absence will be huge for a Colts defensive unit that is an attractive streaming option against New England this weekend, but it will be hard to trust both Paye and Leonard in IDP fantasy formats.

Kwity Paye To Miss Another Game
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye (ankle) has been ruled out for the game against the Washington Commanders in Week 8. Paye has missed the last few weeks while dealing with an ankle injury, and the Colts' struggling defense will miss him once again. View the Colts fantasy defense/special teams unit as a boom-or-bust option against streaky quarterback Taylor Heinicke on Sunday.

Kwity Paye Will Miss Another Game
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye (ankle) won't play in Sunday's meeting with the Tennessee Titans. The 23-year-old will now miss his second straight contest after suffering an ankle injury during the Week 5 outing versus the Denver Broncos. Paye has 16 total tackles and three sacks this season, so there are likely several disappointed IDP managers heading into Week 7. The Colts' defense will also be without linebacker Shaquille Leonard (concussion, nose, back), which isn't ideal against a fresh Derrick Henry.

Shaquille Leonard, Kwity Paye Out For Week 6
Indianapolis Colts linebacker Shaquille Leonard (back, concussion, nose) and defensive end Kwity Paye (ankel) have both been ruled out of the Week 6 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Colts defense was outmatched in the first meeting with Jacksonville, so this could be significant for fantasy football. The outlooks of the Jaguars' offensive players aren't changed too much, but the Colts fantasy defense/special teams unit's outlook takes at least a little bit of a hit without two of their best playmakers.

Kwity Paye Believed To Have High-Ankle Sprain
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye (ankle), who was carted off the field during Thursday night's overtime win over the Denver Broncos, is believed to have suffered a high-ankle sprain based on his initial evaluation, according to a source. He'll have an MRI exam on Friday to confirm the initial diagnosis. Paye could be out for four to six weeks as a result of the injury, so it's a blow for the Colts defense moving forward after a very strong performance in Week 5 to limit the Broncos to just nine points and no offensive touchdowns. The 23-year-old pass-rusher has three sacks, 16 tackles (12 solo), five tackles for loss and five QB hits so far in his five games for Indy in his second NFL season.

Kwity Paye Is First First-Rounder To Sign
Indianapolis Colts defensive end Kwity Paye became the fastest first-round pick to sign his first NFL contract on Thursday. Defensive end Dayo Odeyingbo, safety Shawn Davis, wide receiver Mike Strachan and offensive lineman Will Fries also signed their rookie contracts with the Colts. Paye was the 21st overall pick in last week's draft and will fill a spot vacated by the departure of Justin Houston after just one year in Indy. He's set to account for around $2.4 million in his rookie season, per OverTheCap. Paye is a very raw edge rusher that has plenty of upside. He will need to improve on his hand usage at the next level, but he has the size and tools to turn into a dominant 4-3 defensive end for the Colts.
